I see you pushing and you're trying your best,

Through all the pain and hurt you've never taken a rest,

I see you work and you work like you're trying to escape,

I know the toll that it takes trying to carry the weight,

I know the stress, know the fear, know the worries,

If I give them another chance will they hurt me?

You crave love but you're terrified to reach for it,

What if you get close?...and life comes an destroys it,

Nothing cuts deeper than losing the ones we care about,

Yelling at the sky, we're just hoping that they can hear us now,

We're living on for them, for every memory they gave us,

And pushing to be great to pay homage to those that made us,

It's hard to even fathom, the connection being lost,

We use to see them every day and now their gone,

Now if I get close to any one I wonder what's the cost,

I am no longer willing to risk it all,

Because even love and friendship have a downside,

An we were never given an outline on reflecting energy from the outside,

We make others problems our own and that's our main weakness,

We were taught to love like gold but that's not how we're treated,
