You were sitting at your desk by the window overlooking the city. In your hands, you were re-reading the letter you had written in secret. You re-read it over and over again, not believing the letters you had written down. You felt embarrassment squirm inside your chest. "Good God how could I have written something so pitifully over-affectionate?"

The letter had been plaguing your thoughts ever since you had finished writing it. You had been debating whether to throw it out or just leave it hidden in its drawer. Could you live with the hidden embarrassment of a secret letter? With so many emotions and feeling jumbled inside of it all? What if someone found it?

You looked at the paper a moment longer, re-reading it for the thousandth time. Then with a sigh you slowly placed the letter back into the drawer. You say back and ran your hands over your face. "What am I going to do with myself..."

Knock Knock Knock

You jumped upright in your seat. "Y/N! ! Bonjour! Are you at home, mon ami?" The heavy French accent coming through your door startled you for a moment. "Who the devil-." You paused in realization an we d smiled. "Yes Lafayette, I am home. The door is unlocked."

You made sure that the letter was tucked away safe before standing to greet your guest. Lafayette smiled widely at you. "So good to see you mon ami!!" He pulled you into a tight hug, and you almost chocked on the mass of curls that threatened to suffocate you. You pulled away and laughed. "It is good to see you as well. May I ask why you have come to see me?"

"Well Hercules, Alex, John, and myself are going back to the bar tonight. We were wondering if you would like to come along?" You quickly thought it over, and deciding you really needed a mental break, you said yes. Lafayette nodded. "Idéal! Well let us get going, everyone is waiting downstairs."

You grabbed your coat and followed Lafayette out the door...

**** TIME SKIP ****

The bar was especially loud tonight. What seemed to be tons of people squished themselves together into the tiny bar. You had thankfully grabbed some seats in time. Hercules had already gotten a few too many drinks, and Lafayette was working on his 3rd. John seemed a little more relaxed tonight and was causally flirting with passing waitresses.

Alex seemed to avoid eye-contact with you tonight. Usually you two would stick rather close and talk, but tonight things seemed off. He seemed to be completely tense and closed off from you. It made you nervous.

"Oi! I don't believe me own eyes!" You felt a rough hand slap your back. You jumped and turned to see a large man with a bread smiling down at you. "It's lil' tike!" For a moment you had no idea who this stranger was. Then you suddenly remembered your bar fight, and getting unbelievably smashed. "Burton!"

The rest of the boys looked at you in curiosity as you stood and gave the man a brief hug. "How are you!" He gave out a thunderous laugh. "Oh ya know. Just survivin'. What about you! Got inter anymore fights?" Blushed and dipped your head with a smile. "No, none at all."

Burton let out another roaring laugh. John looked at you amused. "Fights?" You nodded. "Yeah. It wasn't too bad though." Alex scoffed. "Oh sure. Yeah it wasn't too bad. All you did was get your ass knocked and had to have me come get you." The table went silent. You stated at Alex in disbelief. Why was he acting this way? You coughed. "Yes, that's true. Anyways, this is Burton. I was drinking with him a few nights ago."

The table and Burton gave their hellos, and Burton sat down with us. You all quickly got back into the swing of conversation, getting a few more drinks. The boys all got into the topic of sex, and you grew silent. Hercules gave you a look. "What's wrong Y/N? Never b-been with someone before?" The whole table burst into laughter. Well, all except Alex.

You flushed and looked down at your hands. "Well, no, I have never...been...with someone." The whole table gawked at you. "Oi! Lil' tike. Iss alright. All yer gotta do is getcha a lass. There goes one now, OI MISS!" You spotted the lady that Burton was calling. Her clothes were extremely revealing, her face painted with thick makeup. She carried herself with confidence and smoothness, and it was obvious extremely obvious what type of woman she was.

"Is this really necessary?" Alex spoke up. He looked angry and tense, like he would explode at any given moment. Burton shrugged. "I don't see why it 'tisnt." Alex ground his teeth. "Maybe he doesn't need to get laid huh? Have you even asked if he wants to?" You gawked at Alex. Where was all of this coming from? Burton laughed. "Ofcourse 'e does! Don't you?" Before you could respond, the lady had made her way to the table.

She came and plopped down straight into Burtons lap. All of the boys perked up like a bunch of dogs about to receive a bone. You watched the woman with discomfort. Burton smiled over at you. "This young lad right 'ere needs to be shown a good time."

The lady smiled seductively at you and slowly crawled into your lap. "Oh, is that right?" Something inside of you was screaming at you to shove this woman off of you as fast as possible. "U-Uhm..." The whole table started to laugh again. The woman giggled and brushed some stray hairs out of your face. You definitely did not want this. You slowly slid her off. "Thank you, miss, but I really think I'm alright." The table gave you 'boos' and started cheering you on.

"Oh come on lil' tike! Loosen up a bit!" The woman stood waiting, starting to get impatient. Your face grew hot. "Come in dear," the lady started to run her hands all over you "I can show you a lovely time." You felt sick. Why couldn't you just get up and go? You just couldn't bring yourself to go with her.

"Leave him alone!" Alex was suddenly by your side. The lady smiled at him, taking his aggressive tone the wrong way. "I can show you a lovely time as well sir." Alex sneered. "I don't want anything you have to offer. And neither does my friend here." The lady's confident face broke down into shock. Alex dug something out of his pocket and threw it at her. "Here, take this. I know that's all you want." The lady dropped to the floor and grabbed at the money he had just carelessly tossed at her. She stood and looked at him in embarrassment.

"Now get out. And if I see you approach him or even touch him again, I will forget to be a gentleman." The lady ran off immediately, clutching the money in her hands. You stated up at Alex with complete disbelief. He turned and met your gaze. You couldn't identify what emotion was on his face. Your whole body felt light and electric. You wanted so badly to know what was going on inside his head.

He looked back at the surprised table. "I've had my fill for the night. Thank you, gentlemen, and I will see you later." Alex turned on his heel and quickly left the bar. The boys soon got over what had happened and kept drinking. Yet you couldn't get your gaze off of the door. 'What was that?'
