1988 A.D., July 2
Crowley and Aziraphale went to the Ritz all the time. They hadn't admitted it, but they genuinely enjoyed each others company. (Honestly, there wasn't anybody else in the whole multi-verse they'd rather spend time with.)
But at the moment, Aziraphale was busy miracling people away from a deadly car to care.
"Crowley, you can't just drive 70 miles in London! You'll hit someone!" Aziraphale had said it many times to Crowley, and he'll say it again; it was illegal, and it was dangerous.
Crowley rolled his eyes, "Nobody's gonna notice one death."
Aziraphale shreiked, "CROWLEY!"
Crowley cringed at Aziraphale's yell.
Crowley made a sour face, I'm careful."
That was a blatant lie.
"The day you hit someone with your car is the day I'm not going to be able to stop it.*" Aziraphale said.
Criwley nodded, "Sure, sure."
The drive went on with the two bickering like an old married couple.**
*Actually, Aziraphale would've been able to stop it if he weren't too busy eyeing Crowley in the front seat.
**Well, they would be in the future.

There's an evil wizard. A dark knight. An elf with a shovel. There's a dude with a car. And there is a lot of just complete and total chaos. ... As an explanation for those mildly interested or mildly confused: this is a story that was crafted from the beloved-madness that is r/writingprompts. From one prompt, to the next prompt, to the next, with no other way to progress except taking a new prompt and using it. Far as stories go, this one was spawned by a mix of blind-clicks, and dice-rolls, more than any true selection process. Fantasy driven, it was written mostly in my spare hours between work-projects and on lunch breaks (whenever I was lucky enough to get those) by clicking on reddit writingprompts that I could find within those windows of time. Title is notable cliche, and I'm far more than just open to alternative suggestions. This story is complete and will by copied and pasted in with minimal to no clean-up. It will not be held to much in the way of quality standards. So if you have corrections, just keep that in mind... But, on the brighter-side of things, there will be an awful lot of it. Apologies ahead of time.

The party at first seeks monetary gain in the acquisition of noteworthy artifacts desired by their employer and fellow explorer, but soon finds that there is more to be gained in the relationship forged along the way and the experiences found within them. This series is more a conglomerate of short stories than a fully fledged novel with every two or three chapters being confined to its own miniaturized arc before another one starts. There will be updates semi-regularly and apologies in advance for any niggling grammatical errors, I'm not a published author.
