《The Orc's Consort》Authors Notes

Dear Readers,
I want to thank everyone thus far for all the views, votes, and comments. I greatly appreciate the support as I am new to creative writing. I also wanted to write a quick recap and a short overview of my upcoming chapters.
Thus far in our story, Jasper finally found a time to tell Brenna why her father sent her away. He also told her the news about the war. Her father twisted the situation to his advantage.
Corvus's main goal was to find any reason to justify a new war with the Horde because he wanted their territory for its metal and gem deposits. Corvus also sought the land to strengthen his borders, so he had to make up a reason to start his war.
The idea that her father could do something like this crushed Brenna. She didn't want to believe it. She requested to go home to confront her father and leave the growing feeling for Jasper behind.
She didn't have much of a plan. It didn't entail going back to the orcs. However, her father would not allow her back. Her staying would put a damper on his plan. Devastated, Brenna goes to the mountains to find Jasper with another woman in his bed (Paige). "Love triangle who."
Brenna was crushed by this and was initially angry with Jasper to the point she planned to impale him with a poker. (LMAO). But Brenna couldn't help herself. She just wanted to be comforted for the time being because she felt like she had no one after speaking to her father.
She also didn't believe she had the right to be angry or jealous because she left and hadn't wanted to accept her feelings for him. When given the chance; Brenna denied her feelings altogether.
Jasper was distraught by this. Orcs aren't the type to beat around the bush, so he didn't know how to deal with the situation. Jasper knew she had to have some feelings for him but didn't understand why she wouldn't admit to them. In his mind, he felt like she was ashamed of him. In the end, Jasper decided to go back to his men on the battlefield to take a breather.

I hate to disappoint, but our upcoming chapters might not be so juicy. Unfortunately, I need to do the dreaded character and storyline build-up and set the pace. Exciting right? So, please bare with me. I plan to keep these Chapters to a minimum and get back to the action.
Boring they might be, but important they are.
Who knows? I might throw a curveball in there. 👀⚾️
Your's truly,

This Time, Her Turn
A bittersweet story of a couple in the modern day. While the man fell in love long ago, his partner seemed to think she could do without love. One incident changed that. Ramit knew it was time to give up and willed his rarely stubborn self to let her go, or if the need be, push her away. Only, Geetha's efforts to save their marriage would begin. This story offers angst etched in their untimely grovel, hurt/comfort and mini misunderstandings, and some light humour amid the grand plot of love.
