My loud ass alarm goes off. Fuck it's Monday and still feel like shit the memories about what happened about Sunday. I get up and get ready for school. I didn't do any makeup cause I have a feeling about crying today. I put a hoodie and some black jeans on. I look at my phone and seen I gotten a text message.

(Text message)

D: hey I'm picking you up.

A: ok

A: sounds good.

(End text)

I smile widely. I go down stairs to get some food.

Mom: "hey honey how you been"

She puts the plate on the kitchen counter.

A: "good"

I sit down with the food right in front of me.

Mom: "where's tori?"

A: "I don't know. I don't talk to her anymore"

Mom: "why?"

A: "just stuff happened between us"

Mom: "who's picking you up then?"

A: "devin"

Mom: "I thought tori and him were dating?"

A: "they were, but not anymore..and no we are not dating he's my new best friend..I guess"

Mom: "just making sure"

My phone buzzes on the counter. I pick it up and see who it is.

(Text message)

D: I'm here

(End text)

A: "bye mom"

I stand up

Mom: "bye honey love you"

I get my stuff and head out the door. I walk to devin's car and get in.

D: "hey"

A: "hey"

We drive away.

We arrive at school.

Let's see what happens next.

I grab my stuff out of devin's car. I wait for him to grab his stuff. We walked in together in the hallway. I see tori and we make eye contact.

V: "Abby wait"

I turn on my heals.

A: "what do you want now"

V: "I just want to say sorry"

A: "ok apology not expected"

V: "I am sorry"

A: "no you're not"

I walk away

V: "you know I'm trying really hard to say sorry"

I turn around and walk over to her

A: "do you know why I won't take you back as my best friend?"

V: "why?"

A: "because this isn't the first time you did this"

V: "what do you mean?"

A: "I mean mike..do you remember when he cheated on me. Well found the girl and it was you..my supposedly best friend went behind my back twice and slept with two people I used to love..and every time I told you I loved them you think it's a green light to sleep with them..you know I felt so bad kissing devin and liking him. I felt like shit but you didn't cause you think I wasn't going to find out. I'm never going to be like you..you piece of shit."

I walk away with tears running down my face. I couldn't see who was right in front of me. I see devin having open arms waiting for me to hug him. I run over and just hugging him tightly as I can.

A: "please don't go. Your the only thing that keeps me happy"

I look up at him and pull away.

D: "I will never..ok. I'm going to be here for you no matter what"

I nod my head.

D: "so I was wondering after school if you want to go to Mels with me?"

A: "sure"

(Bell rings)

D: "see you"

A: "see you"

After school I go to the car park and lean on devins car. I look around trying to see if devin was near.

?: "hey?"

I follow the sound

D: "you ready"

I nod my head as I open the door. I buckle my seat belt as he starts the car. We back out slowly trying not to accidentally hit people. As we do that we head our way to mels.

As we do we park the car. We both get out and head into mels. We sit at a booth and admire the old rustic feel it has.

D: "I know homecoming is a week away..but..umm"

He says nervously

A: "I don't bite"

I smile out.

D: "well since we don't have dates..let's go together"

A: "yea I would love that"

D: "just as friends..nothing else"

A: "I just like going with you"

I smile out.

Homecoming was today and I'm very scared. Well going with a date. I just don't want to mess up with what me and devin have. Mostly. I look at the clock and says it's 1 o'clock. I decide to take a shower. After I'm done washing up. I blow dry my hair. I curled and put it up in a middle ponytail. I put my makeup on next. I went with some pink tones so it can pop out my eyes more. I go into my closet and put my dress on. It was very pretty and basic. But I liked that about it. It's gray with puffy sleeves. I get my boot sparkle heals and put them on. I get some earrings that matched my dress.

Mom: "honey your date is here"

A: "I'll be right there"

I yell out.

I grab my purse and take one good look at myself in the mirror.

A: "let's do this"

I whisper to myself as I smile out.

I go downstairs And to the door

A: "hi"

D: "wow you look..wow"

I smile at him while he does the same

Mom: "let me take a picture of you both"

We get closer to each other

Mom: "smile"

We do as she says. The flash from her phone blinds us for a second.

Mom: "so cute!"

A: "ok we got to go mom we don't want to be late"

I say going out the door

Mom: "ok..drive safe"

D: "will do"

He smile back at my mom. My mom closes the door.

A: "finally I thought she would never leave"

We walk up to his car. He opens the passenger seat.

D: "after you"

He bows down

A: "well thank you kind sir"

We both chuckle.

I sit in the car and buckle my seatbelt. He goes around and and into the drivers seat.

D: "ready?"

A: "of course"

I smile out.

We go into the gym. I look at Victoria dancing with jake trying to make us both jealous. Which wasn't working.

D: "hey?"

I look at him

D: "I'm going to get us some drinks"

A: "yea sounds good"

I smile at him. I see Victoria walk closer to me.

V: "hey?"

A: "what do you want?"

V: "I'm just going to say. You both look happy together..and I'm sorry that I made you hurt twice..I was a bad friend and I miss you"

A: "I miss you too"

V: "can we be best friends again?"

A: "let's start from the beginning"

V: "ok"

She smiles out as I do the same.

V: "hi I'm Victoria. What's your name?"

She puts her hand out

A: "I'm Abby"

I shake her hand. While smiling

V: "now what?"

A: "we start from there"

We both smile.

D: "hey?"

Devin comes up from behind me

A: "hey"

D: "here's your drink thanks"

He looks at Victoria and then to me

D: "are you guys cool?"

A: "we're starting over"

D: "I'm glad"

He smiles at me as I smile back.

D: "this is my favorite song. My mom used to have this on repeat"

A: "well let's dance"

I put my drink down as he does the same.

We go on the dance floor. I put my hands on his neck while he puts his hands on my waist.
