♣ ♣ ♣

I'm currently waiting behind a wobbly Tae with my skates on, grinning in amusement as he's trying to figure out how to step forward onto the rink without smashing his nose.

"Sometime today would be good," I tease, to which he looks back at me with a glare. But the frown quickly turns into a sad pout, his eyes growing big like a little puppy's. "Come on! The other ones have been skating for fifteen minutes already, just get on the damn ice!"

"I will, I will! Geez, I'm just trying to figure out how to not embarrass myself.."

I roll my eyes. "You want me to hold your hand or something?" I ask mostly sarcastically, but a ray of hope flashes in his eyes when I say it and he grabs my hand. "You're such a baby," I sigh as I step forward and tightening my grip on his hand. "Take one step down.. Good. And now the other."

My instructions successfully manages to guide him onto the ice, and not too long after I've also climbed down to stand next to him. Jungkook suddenly speeds past us like a flash out of nowhere, throwing a cocky smirk towards our direction that is most likely directed to Taehyung.

"I thought you'd climb down tomorrow!" he shouts now from the other side of the rink before making a sharp U-turn back to us, graciously cutting the ice with his skates and thus casting a cool snow-confetti effect while doing so. He repeats the same process when he approaches us, but directs the shaved ice flakes right into Taehyung's face -- with a critical hit. Taehyung looks everything but amused, and if you look close enough you can almost see his irises burst into flames.

"Well I'm sorry I haven't stood in a pair of skates on ice before!" Taehyung retorts.

"Neither did I but it was much easier than I thought," Jungkook says with a shrug. "You just gotta stop being a chicken, that's all." And with a last smug grin he takes off and proceeds to learn pirouettes.

Jungkook is definitely one of a kind.

"That arrogant shit," Taehyung growls through gritted teeth. "Let's see how well he can do a pirouette after I shove my skate into his ass-"

Those were the famous last words of Kim Taehyung before he proceeded to slide forward but instantly lost balance and face-planted on the ice. His pride may be gone but never forgotten.

I burst out laughing at him like the good girlfriend I am. "Do you need help?" I wheeze through my laughs, hunching down to help his ragdoll form up. He's pouting cutely when he's standing once again. I cup his cheeks with both my hands, inspecting if he injured himself.

"You don't seem to have broken anything," I conclude with a reassuring smile, trying to lift his mood. When he refuses to meet my gaze I tell him, "Hey, look at me." His eyes shift to meet mine. "Don't worry, okay? You'll get this eventually."

"But Jungkook-"

"Jungkook is just blessed with beginner's luck," I comfort him, though internally questioning myself as I said it. I arch my neck up and deliver a quick, gentle kiss on his lips before taking a hold of his hand and nudging him towards me, "Come on. I'll give you another kiss if you-" Taehyung's lips on mine interrupts what I was going to say, but I forgive him the moment he pulls away and blesses me with his boxy smile.

Oof my heart- Fuck, does he have to be this perfect?

With a solid grip on my hand, Taehyung listens closely to me as I explain how he should keep his balance. I'm no pro myself but I can at least glide around with ease.

"So what you're going to do is just pushing yourself forward with one leg at a time while keeping your back straight, or else you'll be more likely to lose balance. And it's honestly not more complicated than that. Oh and your arms must-"

But before I had any chance to finish, his confidence skyrocketed and only to his dismay decided to test his limits. He pushes himself forward with force but when shifting leg his body swoops him down onto the ice, his shoulder taking the fall.

"-follow your body's movements, otherwise you'll lose balance.." I mutter the finishing part of my sentence that he didn't have the patience enough to hear.

Loud laughters are heard from a crowd of people that is our friends. I bite my lip in attempt to keep my laughter inside, which probably only resulted in me perfectly resembling a grinning Spongebob Squarepants.

"This is why you should let someone finish what they were saying," I sigh after gliding over to him and helping him up.

"But Jungkook said that I shouldn't be a chicken.."

"And look where that got you? Take my hand."

His gaze lock on mine as I speak. There's an uncertainty in his eyes at first, but his face gradually relaxes as he's watching me. Then he finally cracks a little smile which I reciprocate, feeling his hand envelop mine in a steady hold.

"Try again, but take it slow this time," I urge him. Then I gently tug him with me as I start moving my feet. He mimics my actions and carefully tries to follow my lead, and his movements gradually becomes more steady and confident until he gets comfortable with this new kind of skill.

"I'm doing it!" he beams excitedly after we've circled around the rink for about ten minutes.

"See? Patience is key. Are you ready to let go of my hand now?"

A sour expression crosses his face and he squeezes my hand tighter. "No. I love holding your hand."

Why is he so goddamn adorable?

I chuckle fondly. "But you have to know how to skate on your own."

"You're just trying to get rid of me," he whines with the saddest pout and puppy-eyes I've ever seen.

"Stop you're breaking my heart," I whine back.

"Mine already broke because of you."

"Can you guys please stop trying to make me throw up for five seconds?" Yoongi complains as he slides past us.

"I agree with Yoongi. Had I known that Taehyung would be like this I wouldn't had played secret cupid," Jimin mutters, following close behind Yoongi. Taehyung gives them an unamused glare and then childishly sticks out his tongue at them.

"You're only hating because your pathetic asses will be single for the rest of your lives," Taehyung spits back.

Both Jimin and Yoongi turns around at the same time, now skating right towards us. Jimin grabs Taehyung's free arm while Yoongi interrupts our hold by pushing himself in between us, leaving me on my own as they're basically abducting Taehyung from me.

"Don't worry Blue! We're just borrowing him for a while!" Yoongi shouts to me. I laugh as I watch Taehyung struggle to break free, which only resulted in them all falling over.

I make use of this newfound freedom to check what the others are doing. Hoseok and Areum are happily skating around holding each other's hands. She suddenly pushes him playfully so that he trips, but he takes her down with him and now they're a laughing mess on the ice. I chuckle at the sight and continue my journey to Jin and Namjoon.

"Wanna hold hands Jin?" Namjoon exclaims excitedly with an exaggerated girly, high-pitched voice.

"Oh Joon, I never thought you'd ask!" Jin replies happily with an equally pitched voice before they join hands and giggle loudly.

Jin then circles around Namjoon to stand behind him, then he wraps his arms around his waist. "Ah Joonie-oppa... I wish we could stay like this forever," he sighs dreamily.

That's when Namjoon suddenly turns around to capture Jin's hands in his own, staring deeply into his eyes. "Jagiya... let's get married," he utters with the deepest voice for some reason, taking both me and Jin by surprise. Jin pretends to wipe off tears from his eyes.

"Yes Joonie, yes!" he exclaims before throwing himself into Namjoon's arms.

The embraced lovers' happy squeals attracts our other friends to the scene. Baekhyun stands in front of them with a straight back, pretending to hold a book in his hand.

"Today we are gathered to witness the permanent bonding between two people," he speaks dramatically while doing some over-exaggerated gestures with his other hand. Areum, Hoseok, Chanyeol and Kai are whistling and applauding loudly, whereas the trio that is Jimin, Yoongi and Taehyung appears around the couple, throwing invisible petals and confetti over them while cheering at the top of their lungs. Jungkook is still roaming around the rink doing pirouettes. "Blabla bla bla I now pronounce you husband and husband. You may now share a kiss to trigger the Korean media," Baekhyun finishes with a bow.

We all applaud the newly wed pair while chanting, "Kiss, kiss, kiss!"

To everyone's astonishment, they do. With zero hesitation they both go in for a short kiss, leaving us shook for just two seconds before we erupt in loud cheers.

Who needs K-dramas when you have crackhead friends?

"Guys, how about we head to the renting place? I bet it isn't crowded at the moment, so we better get our skis now unless we want to queue for an hour," Areum suggests when we eventually step out of the rink to rest our sore feet. So after taking a well deserved rest and drinking hot cocoa, our energy was recharged for the next adventure that's waiting for us.

"Okay I know this might seem scary at first but I promise it isn't that hard. All you need to do is to push the front of your skis into each other to make a triangle shape, like a pizza slice. And then-"

Apparently, explaining things in a calm and methodical manner doesn't work when it comes to Taehyung simply because he doesn't even let me finish. And the result? He slides down the kids slope without my permission, makes his skis cross over each other when attempting to follow half my instructions, and then he collides on the snow-covered ground.

I sigh heavily, processing what I just witnessed for a couple seconds and gathering patience before coming to his rescue.

"Tae, you're not a natural talent in these winter sports it seems," I observe jokingly with a chuckle as I haul his body up.

"In other words I really, really suck?" he sighs, defeated.

"You know you'd suck less if you actually wait until I'm done talking before challenging the Universe."

He pouts cutely, mumbling apologetically, "Sorry.."

"Let's try again.. Just follow me and mimic what I do and you should be able to get down without any problems. And it's important that you keep your knees bent just a little, it's easier to control your skis like that."

He nods eagerly. Then we start ascending down the slope in the slowest speed possible while I'm trying to explain the basics to him and the do's-and-don'ts. Thankfully he caught on pretty fast and we could upgrade to the easy slopes where all the others are currently cruising around on.

The first thing you hear is Hoseok and Areum's laughs, so it's safe to say that they're falling and laughing more than actually skiing -- which is adorable. Tae and I ride together on the lift up to the top of the slope. He leans his head, or helmet rather, against mine and sighs softly.

"I like the air here," he says, then blows hot air to watch it turn into a misty cloud. "I can pretend I'm smoking."

I laugh at that. "As if you've never actually smoked before," I point out before taking a deep breath. "But I agree with you. The air is so much cleaner."

"Do you really think my past is that dark?"

I crinkle my eyebrows just slightly. "What do you mean?"

"You assume that I've smoked before.. Do you think that I was a bad person?" His voice grows weak as he speaks, my heart instantly sinking in my chest when I hear the hint of hurt behind it. I turn my head to look at him.

"I don't really know much about your past except that you had it rough, so I've honestly not put much thought into it. But no matter what your past is, I fell in love with you like you are now. And nothing will change that. I didn't mean anything bad with what I said."

Was this the right time to say that I love him? It was tempting, but somewhere inside my heart I felt like it should wait. I just hope that he knows that there's nothing that can make me walk away from him.

In contrary to what I expected, he doesn't look too convinced nor relieved. "Are you sure you wouldn't care if you knew?"

"We all have our demons, Tae. And it's okay to let them go," I assure him, curving the edge of my lips just slightly into a smile. "Do you wanna talk about it sometime? You know you can tell me everything. I won't judge you if that's what you're afraid of."

He allows his hand to envelop mine after I say that, squeezing it ever so slightly. "I know you won't.. But right now I don't want to think about it. I came here to have fun with you," he says with a smile at last.

"Then brace yourself because we need to get off now before we get dragged into that snow wall," I announce.

However, by saying that I apparently awakened all his panic senses since he in the span of two seconds tried to move to the right, but gets his skis stuck together which results in him yelping in dread before finally face-planting on the snow. I help him up after regaining my breath from another laughing fit, but at the same time roars of laughters are heard from behind us. Seconds later, Jimin and Baekhyun joins our side still cackling.

"I'm starting to think that you have two left feet, Taehyung," Jimin teases with smirk.

"You should've seen Jungkook. He claimed to never have set a foot in a pair of ski boots before, but he's yeeting past everyone in his way!" Baekhyun says, looking both shocked and impressed. Why am I not surprised..

"Well something has to weigh up for his lack of braincells," Taehyung claps back.

"Damn you're really that salty over his athleticness?" I question with a chuckle.

"The only thing I'm salty over is the goddamn pain in my left asscheek after falling on it forty times in the last hour and a half."

"Aww, should Jimin massage it for you?" I coo with a grin. Jimin's eyes almost pop out of their sockets.

"Aaaand that's our que to leave. Hope your ass doesn't go numb!"

With that, they glide down the slope to get far, far away from us. Taehyung looks at me with a hopeful expression for some reason.

"Will you massage my butt later?" he asks cutely with glimmering eyes.

"I'll shove this pole up your ass if you want," I reply, swinging my ski stick threatenly as if trying to stab him.

Half to my surprise, he gives me a Joker-like smirk. "I'll take that as a maybe."

I throw back my most unamused stone-face at him, then cracking a cryptic smile. "Maybe."

And then we proceeded to spend the next couple of hours gliding down the snow-covered hills, the cold winds biting more and more on our cheeks as the time went. Eventually the sun prepared to settle as it tinted the sky with an array of orangey shades, indicating that it was probably time for us to call it a day.

Conveniently enough, all eleven of us coincidentally met at the top of a hill for one last ride before going to the dining hall.

"Wait, eleven?" Jin questions out loud as if he heard my inner narrator.

"Where's Yoongi?" Hoseok asks. We all look around to see if he was anywhere near.

"What's that in the middle of the slope?" Kai asks loudly to gain everyone's attention, pointing at a dark, unmovable spot. We narrow our eyes.

"Don't tell me-" Namjoon sighs.

"It's frickin' Yoongi!" Jimin exclaims in laughter before his face turns serious again, looking confused. "For how long has he been laying there?"

"Half an hour maybe!" Yoongi's faint voice resonates from where he's laying.

We all flinch slightly in surprise at his response.

"How did he hear that?" Chanyeol whispers in shock.

"I think I've lost blood circulation so I'm literally freezing my damn ass off here!"

"Looks like someone needs a butt massage," I snicker while elbowing Jimin beside me. He throws me a glare.

"The last one down gets to massage Yoongi's ass!" Jimin suddenly exclaims before charging forward and sliding down the snow as fast as friction allows.

"The fuck?! No one is touching my ass!"

After a heavy, much needed dinner, we decided to raid the hotel's common room that's surprisingly cleared out of any living entities.

"Ahh there's an open fireplace!" Areum gasps in excitement when we hurriedly enter the room. The next handful of seconds consists of us pushing furniture everywhere to make sitting room for everyone around the glowing heat. As we cramp ourselves onto the sofas and armchairs, we let the pleasant warmth from the fire envelop our souls in a cozy mood as we sink into our seats comfortably.

"Okay, this is what I'm talking about," Baekhyun says with a heavily content sigh. "All I need is a butler to pour me a glass of Moët et Chandon and I could officially say that my life has peaked."

"You gotta lose your virginity first," Kai wheezes, making Chanyeol burst out laughing while high-fiving each other. Baekhyun's face doesn't even twitch.

"So do you, but your face won't let you," he shoots back calmly.

"Oh yeah? We could smash two flies in one hit if you know what I mean."

"Bruh," Chanyeol blurts out shookethly.

Oof, this took an unexpected gay turn.

"Oh really? You. Me. Fifteen minutes."

We all erupt in laughter at that, remembering that party (in which we do not speak) when Hoseok carried Areum and said that they'd be back in fifteen minutes. Ah, sweet inside innuendos..

"Okay we're close enough to be bluntly honest with each other, right?" Jin questions, earning nods from all of us. "There's no one in this room that hasn't done some cave-diving, woohooing, bam-bam in the ham kind of stuffs?"

"What the actual fuck, Seokjin?" Taehyung wheezes, cracking up along with the rest of us.

"Where the hell did you even hear that expression? People actually use it?" Namjoon questions, appearing to be greatly disturbed by the choice of his best friend's words while trying to gain his breath back.

"I don't know. The Universe just googled ways to mention sex without actually saying it."

What that now even means..

"Couldn't you just say sex?" Jimin asks.

"WELL I'M SORRY for trying to keep it family friendly, now could you answer my question?"

We all put our hands up in indication that we're guilty of doing the dirty at some point.

"There's no innocent, holy soul in this room. At least we'll see each other in hell again," Yoongi says hopefully, everyone agreeing on that.

"We're like the losers club from It! Or in our case.. the fuck club," Jungkook cracks, but his grin slowly fades as he realizes what he just said. "Wait.."

"The fuck club sounds like our club meetings would be a bunch of orgies you headass!" Yoongi exclaims, disgusted by Jungkook's brainfart.

"In that case, where do I sign up?" Jimin wheezes, earning a fat slap across the back of his head by Jin.
