To calm things down after the previous storm, here's a lighthearted & soft™ filler-ish chapter for my dear readers ♥ Also, I missed writing about their iconic friendship moments so this chapter & the upcoming ones will give the side characters some time to shine as well ^.^

♣ ♣ ♣

It's been three weeks since Taehyung reunited with his mother after being apart for six years -- and I've never seen him happier than he is now after that day. Not a single day goes by without them texting each other, though it's mostly her sending pictures of Yeontan since Taehyung absolutely loves that little ball of floof. But the most prominent change was one that I had suspected a long time ago.

He doesn't have nightmares anymore.

And that caused his mood to drastically change, along with his personality. Not necessarily in a bad way -- actually it's the opposite.

When we got back from his mother that day, the first thing he did was calling Namjoon and demanded that they all meet up the next day. They did; and that's when he finally told them. He told them what they've been waiting six years for him to tell them. It's safe to say that a deep conversation between the best friends followed after Taehyung's confession, which apparently had ended up in a crying-party. This particular detail was spilled by Areum, and completely denied by Taehyung who still claims that he's not a cryer and later cursed Hoseok for being too soft towards his girlfriend, since they apparently promised each other that what happened that night between those boys stayed between the boys and within the boys only. But Areum has her way of persuasion, and Hoseok is softer than a crème brûlée when it comes to anything related to his beloved soulmate.

Ironically enough, for a bunch of ex-fuckboys who played with every heartstring they could wrap around their fingers, they're quite emotional. Though, I'm just proud that he finally opened up to them.

Along with Taehyung spilling the tea about his mother to his friends, he also announced that we finally made our relationship official -- which honestly is something I still can't really seem to accept or comprehend. After we got back from his mother, we still had a couple of days off school which we used to just spend time with each other and our friends. Of course after we told the boys and Areum, we needed to tell Baekhyun, Chanyeol and Kai. According to Namjoon, Hoseok and Jimin, our relationship didn't come as much of a surprised since they had suspected it ever since that party with the pepero dare. Though, the second trio was a whole other story since they had been completely oblivious to what was going on behind the scenes, and thus reacted by gaping so big making us all think their jaws would dislocate.

When their shock eventually settled, they started preaching about how this fact is literally going to break the school.

To my fear, it did.

But the way they all found out wasn't because any of us told someone outside our group. No. Actually, I wish that was the way it went down. However, Taehyung just had to be as extra as he could for some sadistic, evil reason.

All I did was standing by my locker, minding my own business while waiting for Areum to come by so we could walk together to class. And out of nowhere, Taehyung sneaked up behind me, locked his arms around my waist and pulled me into his chest.

"Morning babe," he had said, before turning me around to face him so he could fully connect our lips. At this point all attention were on us, and I don't think my cheeks had ever been that hot. Ever. He had then proceeded to intertwine our fingers and guided me to class; all this while I had been completely speechless and utterly shook.

And the news spread like wildfire.

People were gossiping during lunch, breaks, lessons, study-hours; everywhere. I might as well could've been an kpop idol the way people were staring at me wherever I went; speculating around our relationship and coming up with theories that honestly had parallels more complex than a fourth degree derivative equation.

And of course, the "happy" news eventually reached Yuna, who mysteriously disappeared upon finding out that her masterpiece of a plan didn't quite work out the way she thought.

Just kidding, she's still around -- currently sitting five tables away from ours in the packed lunchroom. All she does is staring intensely at me, looking like she's plotting a murderous plan involving dunking my head in the first toilet she could find. This is basically my life now: lowkey paranoid that I will one day wake up in an industrial building and the first thing I see is Yuna's face with scissors in hand, slowly cutting off my hair inch by inch until I'm left with a pathy scalp and bald spots.

Shivers. My mind's version of Yuna is another dimension of evil..

"She hasn't blinked in two minutes.." Areum murmurs in disbelief beside me. "That's highkey creepy."

"Contacts prevents particles in the air to enter your eyeball, so your eye doesn't feel the need to blink away the dirt," I mutter in response without breaking the stare from my soup. Damn noodles that keeps sliding between my chopsticks. Just you wait until I cut you up with my bare teeth and slowly corrode you with my stomach acid.

"Go Einstein! Roast her with intelligence, you woke queen," Areum praises me.

"How many hours do you spend on Twitter now?"

"Ssshh that's not important," she chuckles nervously. Then she fully turns to me, propping her elbow on the table and rest her cheek against her fist. "However on an actual important note.. how are things going in paradise?"

I let out an unattractive cackle, just about to answer her when three figures shows up to the table.

"'Sup losers," Baekhyun greets us with a teasing grin when he, Chanyeol and Kai sits down next to me and Areum by our regular lunch table. "Whatcha gossiping about?"

"Just asking Blue how the love-life is going," Areum says, smirking curiously at me.

"Oof, the talk of the school for three weeks straight. Now that's a record," Kai remarks with a whistle. "And I was gathering courage to ask you out, but that bastard did it before me."

That made us all erupt in laughter, knowing very well that he was joking.

"It's pathetic how people still aren't over it. I always hear the girls talking in my class how there's only a matter of time before you break up. Hurts my head every time," Chanyeol comments, shaking his head while sighing. "But you know better than to let them get to you, right?"

I laugh and shake my head. "As if. His mom would be heartbroken if we broke up, and he doesn't want to let her down because she'd probably beat him up with a rice paddle."

The table erupts in laughter, including myself.

"Now that's one thing I'm not over yet, the whole his-mother-left drama," Baekhyun adds, eyes round in astonishment. "So that was the reason why he was such a dick all this time?"

"Basically," I confirm along with a shrug.

"One thing we'll never forget is that whole Yuna-drama fiasco. I can honestly just look back and laugh at it," Areum says tiredly while shaking her head.

"Oh right! I'm still bummed that we didn't get to see Jimin punch Taehyung. Now that would be a sight to witness," Kai complains, disappointed. We all snort at that, thinking back on that overly dramatic night. Both Tae and I agreed to not remind each other about it, since it hurts us both to think back on the events that unfolded.

"Okay, back to the topic. How are things between you two?"

I give them a light shrug of my shoulders. "Things are great. He talks to his mom and his sister a lot and he's visited them these last couple of weekends. I'm just happy to see him happy like this," I explain, smiling thinking about the mental progress he's made since they reunited.

"It's so cute that he has a little sister too," Areum coos while squishing her cheeks together cutely.

"I was so shocked when I saw her, I literally had no idea. But he was so happy when they met, I swear his eyes were glowing everytime he looked at her."

"That's adorable," Chanyeol says dreamily. "Meanwhile my sister slapped me once because I stole her bra.."

We scrunch our eyebrows at him. "You stole her bra?" Baekhyun asks, looking at his best friend with a judgemental look.

"What? I stole my sisters bras all the time as a child, I had no idea what I was doing excuse me," Kai adds, defending Chanyeol.

"Thank you, Kai."

Baekhyun, Areum and I exchange looks, all of us seeming to be equally disturbed and concerned.

"Pervert ever since birth I see. Well, that actually explains a lot," Areum eventually concludes, making me and Baekhyun laugh out loud.

"I bet one thousand won that they crossdress at night," Baekhyun wheezes while simultaneously slamming his fist on the table.

"I double that," I add with a snort, high-fiving Areum who grins sadistically.

"Triple that," she says.

Kai and Chanyeol just looks at us with deadpanned expressions. Kai eventually clears his throat before changing the subject. "So, Taehyung's sister.. Did his mom find someone else or..? I don't get that part."

I wipe the tear on the corner of my eye that appeared after laughing so much, while trying to calm my breathing. Then I answer, "There's a thing that happened between his parents, they fought a lot which made her leave them. But the reason why she left and never came back was because she had been pregnant. She was scared for the health of the baby and didn't return in case his dad was going to hurt her or something. It's really sad, honestly.. She never told any of them because she wanted the reveal to be a surprise.. And she didn't know how to tell either of them after Taeyun was born, so she just raised her by herself and with the help of Sooyoung."

They're quiet for a moment, not really knowing how to respond to this.

"Damn," is all Baekhyun says.

"I don't even know what happened, but only hearing that made me traumatized," Chanyeol murmurs with a sigh. "I feel so bad for both her and Taehyung.."

"Whatever happened, he did a damn good job in hiding it," Areum comments with a headshake. "Not even Hobi, Joon and the others knew. I'm glad he finally told them. He shouldn't had kept quiet about it. Someone could've helped him."

"Well, he has a habit of running away from problems," I sigh. "But I think he'll get better at it. I think this has helped him realize that bottling up his emotions doesn't lead to anything good."

"I wonder what would've happened if you hadn't come to our school," Baekhyun thinks out loud. "You were the one who found her, right?" I nod in response.

"Blue deserves a frickin' medal and all kpop albums in the world for getting Taehyung's head out of his ass," Areum says with pride in her voice, making me laugh. "Oh, speaking of the devil.."

Confused, I turn my head to mimic where her eyes had locked.

Thump goes my heart.

Taehyung is in my line of vision, striding towards us with the ends of his hair slightly damp, probably because he just had P.E. As soon as he notice me looking (read: staring), the edge of his lip curve upwards which reveals his teeth just the slightest, along with his eyes glowing with something I can't put into words -- but close to excitement. Automatically, I smile back at him as thousands of tingles releases throughout my body, making me itchy to get close to him.

Damn, I'm so in love with him.

"'Sup guys," Jimin greets us when he, Jungkook, Yoongi and Taehyung reach our table.

Meanwhile, Taehyung and I never break our little staring contest until this point, and he steps towards me and brings his face close to mine. While trying hard to mask my eagerness, I arch my neck up and allow our lips to meet in a gentle kiss. When his lips keep lingering on mine for longer than I expected, my insides couldn't help but jubilate in pure happiness as if he could hear my screaming thoughts chanting 'longer, longer, just a little bit longer please.'

"Pssh, get a room!" Yoongi exclaims with clear annoyance in his voice, face scrunched up as he pulls the chair out to sit down. "I'll lose my appetite."

The comment causes Taehyung to retract his lips just barely, a deep chuckle resonating from his throat as he does so. But before sitting down next to me, he places one last quick kiss on my lips and playfully narrow his eyes at Yoongi -- who's currently rolling his eyes at us.

Areum coughs loudly. "Says the one who blocked my locker when he was busy eating a girl's face up last year. Shut up and eat your ramen."

And that managed to shut the usually savage Min Yoongi's mouth, while Jungkook and Jimin laughs mockingly at him as they fistbump his arms.

When Taehyung settles next to me, he leans into me until I can slightly feel his lips brush against my ear. "Hi my love," he murmurs with the deepest voice, almost giving me goosebumps. "Looking gorgeous today."

Don't scream. Don't squeal. Don't melt. Don't die.

"Half wet hair suits you pretty well, I must say," I compliment as I study him, mentally drooling at his Godly appearance.

He suddenly smirks amusingly. "It didn't look too bad with all the sweat either," he says with a slightly seductive tone for some reason. Then he cocks his head to the side and lock a strong, playful gaze with me before murmuring with a velvety voice, "But you already know all about that."

And that simple sentence caused vivid images of him hovering above me, out of breath as he rocks his body into mine- I'm going to stop myself right there because now my face is on fire, and before she gets any funny ideas.

Taehyung grins in triumph when he notices my reaction to his subtle hint. This kid is the worst tease.

"Hey, where are Hobi and the others?" Areum asks, eyes searching for her boyfriend that is currently not seen.

"Right here," Hoseok says suddenly appearing behind her, causing Areum to flinch in surprise but instantly smile as she turns her head to kiss his lips. Namjoon and Jin greets us as well when they sit down, and thus the whole squad is gathered.

"So, who's excited for Yongpyong?" Hoseok asks after also taking a seat, and we all erupt in excited cheers.

December has officially approached, meaning that there was only two weeks left before the seniors' annual ski-trip to Yongpyong. Apparently this is the highlight of our high school experience and it's something all schools in our town participate in. So this is the perfect opportunity to get to know, or hook up with, the other students from the schools all over town -- and people are excited to say the least. People are mostly hyping the grand finale of the ski-weekend that of course is a huge party known for the high success rate in getting into someone's pants.

The mind of high schoolers, everyone.

When I heard this, I instantly felt discouraged and silently made a deal with myself to not go. I've had enough of stressful experiences with parties, and I have a feeling that this one won't be any different. Areum is trying to convince me that I'm overthinking things and that I shouldn't worry, and I honestly wish I didn't, but for some reason I just have this lingering bad feeling about it.

"I've never went skiing before so I'm really looking forward to try it," Areum says excitedly, to which most of us nod in agreement.

"I used to go skiing every winter with my family in Sweden, so I'm mostly excited to see if these slopes will be challenging enough for me," I boast confidently, but mostly sarcastically.

"Oof, watch out everyone! We got a badass over here!" Baekhyun warns with his hands raised, leaning back into his chair as if trying to give my massive fictional ego more space.

"I'm intrigued," Kai says with a grin. "Please teach me how to ski like a swedish pro."

"Tough luck pal, she's teaching me first," Taehyung answers protectively before I had time to open my mouth, making me chuckle apologetically to the now pouting Kai.

"Sorry," I coo. "But I'm sure I'll have time to teach you both, if Taehyung isn't naturally created to fail at skiing."

Kai and I laugh at that, while Taehyung just rolls his eyes at us, but ends up cracking a chuckle anyway.

When the others dive into the topic that is our highly anticipated ski trip, Taehyung gently nudges me with his shoulder to bring my attention to him. I turn to look at him with my eyebrows curved in a questioning-curious manner, watching him as he runs his tongue across his bottom lip before he speaks.

"What are you doing this afternoon?"

"Studying I guess," I sigh. "Why do you ask?"

He cracks a crooked, satisfied smile. "Good. You'll be mine all day."

I chuckle at that. "Oh really? What do you have in mind?"

"I promised Taeyun that I'd take her to the seaside, she hasn't stopped talking about it ever since I told her about our first kiss there," he says, eyes sparkling as he does. "So I wanted you to come with us. Plus she misses you."

"And Yeontan?"

He rolls his eyes before grinning at my shameless self. "Tannie will come too."

I flash him a satisfied grin. "Count me in."

The cold breeze passes through us as we climb out of the car, a bit stronger than when we were further into the city. Not a single soul was out here in the open beach area -- and understandable so, since it was for some reason extra cold today. I silently wished we could've visited a warm, cozy café instead, drinking hot cocoa or tea; but of course the Kim siblings wanted to have an outside adventure just when a cold-wave was raging.

Naturally, I didn't have the heart to say no to their, and Yeontan's literal, puppy-eyes.

"Oppa! Unnie! The sea is so pretty!" Taeyun exclaims ecstatically as her little feet runs towards the mighty sea. Taehyung's eyes widen and he bolts after her in panic that she'll jump into the water before we could reach her in time. I giggle at the sight, holding onto Yeontan as I follow the running Kims with cautious steps across the sand.

Even though the cold leaves kind of a biting sensation on my cheeks, my insides fill with warmth when Taehyung catches up to his sister, throws his arms around her and pulls her up into the air, hugging her tightly. I automatically mimic his boxy smile when he turns around to face me, feeling like I've fallen in love all over again.

Yeontan then starts wiggling in my grasp, probably wanting to join the pair. I let him down and take a strong hold of the leash so he won't run away freely.

"Come on Tannie, let's go to them!" I encourage the dog with an enthusiastic voice before sprinting towards Taehyung. Yeontan gracefully runs over the sand despite his small size, and soon enough all of us are assembled again. Taehyung lets his sister down, who takes a hold of the leash.

"Can I play with Yeontan?" she asks me with big, irresistible eyes. I chuckle and drop my hands.
