《Stigma | KTH ✔》26 | Dramarama pt.1

I originally wanted to post this as one giant chapter, but realized quickly that it would be waaay too long. So instead I divided it into two parts, where this part is 7k and part two a bit shorter.
I promised you some drama
So things are getting real dramatic in this one *evil chuckle*
Brace yourselves, because one of the main dramatic chapters in the entire book is about to unfold and I promise you;
♣ ♣ ♣
The two weeks that followed our spontaneous slumber party have been intense, to say the very least. We've had an inhumanely large amount of homework, assignments and exams during this period which means that the whole gang had basically been camping in either the school's library or Baekhyun's house, studying until our brains turned into fried crisps only to repeat the process the next day all over again.
However, today marks the day of the official end for our suffering. The last exam has been written which means that now a couple of days of much needed freedom awaits us.
And what better way to unwind from the stress than a party hosted by Baekhyun?
Even though the memories of the last party sends me through cringe-and-shiver valley and back, I still looked forward to finally allow myself to let loose with my best friends.
So almost immediately after the bell rang and we handed in our last exams, we all fled out of the school doors faster than lightning to get home to get ourselves ready for the pre-party. I rushed through the shower as soon as I got home and threw on some chill clothes, before heading back downstairs with my bag containing the party outfit and other necessities that I had packed the night before. My mom was nice enough to drive me and Areum to Baekhyun's house since neither of us plan to get through this night sober. She even hands us a bottle of rosé wine when finally dropping us off.
"This is just a little treat to get the night started, but don't forget to eat something before you start drinking or else you'll pass out before you even get to the seventh shot. And I don't want my girls to be seen as weaklings now," she says with one finger pointing at us in a warning manner. "Oh and don't mix wine and vodka, that'll make you throw up like a fountain at two am. Trust me, been there done that."
Why is my mom so much cooler than me.
"Thank you for the drinking advice, mom," I say through gritted teeth with a pained smile, realizing that I'm probably the only teenager that has ever said that to their parent.
"Now you girls have fun! And make sure to lock the bedroom doors, you don't want anyone walking in and ruining the mood when you're having s-"
"BYE MOM," I slam the door shut before she can finish her sentence. Unfortunately I already knew how it was going to end, and that made me feel just a little bit sick. I let out the biggest internal sigh before we walk towards the front door.
"Your mom is so cool," Areum says in awe, almost looking starstruck.
"I bet she's more fun at parties than me," I mutter with a sigh.
"Aw, don't say that! This night is the one where we'll finally go apeshit crazy. If we don't pass out cuddling on Baekhyun's bed half-naked, making everyone believe we've done some steamy lesbian actions, then the night is officially failed. Deal?"

I laugh out loud as we step into the house, mentally imagining the scenario Areum just suggested. I have to admit that it would be a hilarious way to end a night -- also seeing the guys' reactions would be priceless.
Baekhyun soon emerges to the hallway to greet us, smiling wide while approaching us. "Blue's laugh can be heard from miles away!" he exclaims with a snort. "Oooh you brought some rosé? Nice!"
He takes the bottle from Areum's hand and we follow him to the livingroom, where all the guys are gathered on the sofas with music playing while they're preparing some drinking game.
"Wow, bold of you to party in sweatpants," Kai points out when he sees us, making Chanyeol and Baekhyun laugh. "Was there a dress code we didn't know about?"
"Just you wait. Give us two hours in the bathroom and magic will happen," Areum retorts with a hairflip.
"Mind if I join? I'm sure I can make it even more magical in there," Kai suggests with a mischievous smirk.
Typical Kai.
"Jeez Kai, you have zero shame," Areum mutters with an eye roll.
"Maybe next time," I reply jokingly, grabbing Areum's hand and drag us out of there before I could see the look of death on Taehyung's face.
"Kai gets so horny when he's drinking. I can't believe him," Areum complains as we start applying the makeup in the largest bathroom in the house.
I chuckle before replying, "I know. Wanna bet that Hoseok is going to choke him at least three times this evening?"
We both laugh at that. "Please. Ten times, at the very least."
"Who would've thought that Hoseok is the jealous type," I wonder out loud.
"I know! Honestly, who would've thought that their whole group would ever stop hoeing around? I feel like a proud mom."
I laugh, almost stabbing myself in the eye with the mascara brush. "Yeah, who would've thought. It feels like it was only last week I moved here and hated those guys, especially Taehyung." I chuckle at the memories. "Remember how badly I wanted to change locker because of him?"
Areum laughs as she recalls that day we first met. "It was so hilariously cliché though! But look at you two now, super close friends and all that," she beams while nudging me softly with her elbow.
I smile at that, then continuing to struggle with a perfect wing for my eyeliner.
"Are you just friends?"
My hands slips and I draw one thick line across my temple into my hairline, feeling the nervousness building up inside me as I meet her gaze through the mirror.
"Oh crap!" I gasp, grabbing a tissue to wipe it off while internally trying to reason with myself if this was the time to tell her. "Uh, what do you mean?"
Her eyes narrows just a tiny bit as she watches me in silence, making me more anxious for every second passing. "I just feel like.. I don't know. There's just something in his entire expression when he's looking at you.." she murmurs, as if thinking out loud.
My heart definitely skips a beat out of sheer excitement at her words.
"Really?" I ask, trying to act surprised and not appear as disgustingly happy like I actually am.
She looks thoughtful for a moment, then she says, "Yeah. He looks happy." A wide smile is now decorating her lips. "Like he adores you."
I'm literally about to physically melt out of happiness. She notices that? I've never thought about the way he's looking at me. But then again, I never notice when he does it in front of everyone.

I bite my lip nervously as I try to fight back a smile, looking down on my hands while fidgeting with my fingers.
"I'm sure he's looking at everyone like that," I squeak out, trying to dismiss her suspicion but she immediately shakes her head furiously.
"Oh no. I may be just a tad less oblivious than you, but I'm not blind. That guy is whipped for you. And I'm not the only one who thinks that!"
My head perks up and I meet her gaze. "What?"
"Hoseok is convinced that he has a thing for you."
I almost physically flinch. "Again, what?"
"We talked about it after the fireworks festival. Actually, he's the one that noticed V acting a bit strange around you. And he told me about a very interesting encounter involving a restaurant, you and Jimin. Does that ring a bell?"
"What did he notice?" I ask, almost starting to sweat because it feels like they've figured something out.
She chuckles. "Blue, be honest. There is something going on, isn't it?"
Double espresso unicorn frappé with five pumps vanilla and a touch of pumpkin spice crap.
My shoulders slump slightly as I release a heavy sigh, realizing that there was no point in hiding it anymore.
Eventually, I nod to confirm her theory.
"I FUCKING KNEW IT!" she exclaims so loud that I flinch. "Oh my god! How long has this been going on? Tell me everything!"
"Shh! I will tell you, just please don't say anything to the others."
She frowns slightly at my words. "Why not?"
I sigh again. "It's complicated. That's honestly the best way to explain this. It kind of started like two months ago when he was sick, even a week before that maybe, you know after that horror movie night."
She gasps. "So you were with Taehyung that time we texted?! How could you lie to me like that?" She pouts, acting heartbroken.
"It's not like I didn't want to tell you.. It's just that even I wasn't sure what was going on. Even now I still don't know."
"What do you mean?"
I take a seat on the floor, leaning my back against the tiled wall. Areum curls up in front of me, watching me like a little child listening to a fairytale for the first time.
"We haven't had the talk yet," I mumble with a defeated sigh. "We're kind of keeping it a secret, obviously. But I think it's mostly because he hasn't been in a relationship before, so I don't want to push him or anything."
"Oh, I get it. He's a player, so he doesn't want the commitment."
"Bingo. But he isn't like that anymore. Trust me, I if anyone would know if he was with someone else. So I guess he's serious about us, but I feel like he will run away if I talk to him about making it official.."
I suddenly feel her arms wrap around me and she pulls me into a comforting embrace, just like Jimin did that day he kissed me.
Oh triple crap; I have to tell her about the kiss.
"I honestly think that he wouldn't mind. I mean, the way he's looking at you.. Like damn. Even though I do feel a bit worried about you, I still have this strong feeling that he won't hurt you. He's changed, that's for sure. So do me and yourself a favor and talk to him about it soon. I'm sure you're worrying for nothing."
"But there's another thing.." I murmur, closing my eyes for a bit before meeting her gaze again. "Jimin and I kissed."
Her loud gasp echoes through the bathroom walls. "What!?"
"And he doesn't know that yet. It happened like three weeks ago, but I haven't found the right timing to talk about it. I know I have to tell him before we can even start trying to figure out what we are."
"Why didn't you tell me about this earlier?" she asks quietly, almost looking betrayed.
"Trust me, I tried to a couple of times but something always got in the way. You know when the sleepover happened? I was about to tell you back then, but then the guys came over so that plan went up in smoke," I explain truthfully, then sighing heavily. "The timing always seems to be off for me, apparently."
"Oh, that makes sense then. But don't think that I will forgive you for keeping me in the dark for so long so easily!"
I chuckle softly. "Understandable. I'd do the same if you'd ever do this to me."
"I still can't believe it, though. You and Taehyung... Wow. I honestly never thought that he could commit to someone like this. But if that shithead hurts you just one time I will strangle him, shave his head, stuff the hair into his mouth until he chok-"
"Whoa whoa I get it," I stop her before she gets too carried away with her sadistic mind. "Hopefully there won't be any need for you to kill him."
"You know I won't hesitate to do it."
"I know you won't hesitate," I assure her with a laugh. "But so far I'm not traumatized by him."
"Good," she says with a content smile before releasing a chuckle. "I can't wait to see Yuna's reaction when you go public with your relationship! Ahh, she's gonna flip!"
Ugh, Yuna. Hearing her name always triggers irritation inside me. She's been awfully incognito after uttering that threat to me, making me question if she was even serious or not back then.
"Oh her, I almost even forgot about her. Remember that day before we watched that horror movie with the guys? When I arrived late to the lunch looking like a zombie?"
"Oh, yeah I remember. I forgot to ask you later what happened back then."
"Yuna happened," I admit with an eye roll. Areum's eyebrows skyrockets along her mouth dropping wide open. "She basically threatened me in the restroom that if I don't stay away from Taehyung and the others, something 'bad' is going to happen to me," I tell her, airquoting 'bad' with my fingers. Areum's owl-eyes are still on display before she breathes out heavily, as if trying to constrain herself from going on a killing-spree.
"Okay, it's official now. That girl is crazy," she eventually says, shaking her head in disbelief. "And why in hell didn't you tell me this before!?"
"I don't know! I thought I overreacted or something back then, I didn't want to worry you guys over nothing."
"But what if that psycho-ass would kidnap you and lock you in a cabin somewhere in the forest and light in on fire? And we'd never know it was her because you never told us!"
"Okay now you're overreacting. And you should really stop reading those bad fanfics."
"Ugh I know but I had to know how it all would end," she mumbles grumpily. "But it seems like it was just an empty threat. I honestly think there's nothing to worry about."
"Yeah I figured that, too," I agree followed by a sigh. "Okay, shall we finish the makeup and get some drinks?"
"Yes please!" She jumps up on her feet again before proceeding to help me stand up. We take our previous positions in front of the mirror again and finish what we started. Then we change into our party dresses at last and do some touch-up on our hair. When done, we take a good look at each other and smirk in approval.
"V will lose his shit when he sees you," Areum squeals after we take some pictures and selfies.
I laugh loudly, "We'll see. But I bet Hoseok won't keep his hands off of you the entire night. I won't be surprised if you two disappear before midnight," I tease with a suggestive grin. She rolls her eyes at me, but gives me a cheeky wink afterwards.
"Please, don't tell anyone about anything we talked about. Not even Hoseok," I beg her before she proceeds to open the door. "Act like you know nothing and please don't look at us differently just because of this."
"Got it, I promise I won't tell anyone." She brings her pinky up and I lock mine around hers in a pinky-promise.
"Thank you," I breathe with a relieved smile.
"Don't worry about it. Now, let's dunk that rosé wine and let the night begin!"
As promised, we reemerge to the livingroom two hours later and we walk into a mess that is the guys playing Just Dance while screaming the lyrics.
Our friends are actual crackheads.
"Hey you seagulls! It's cocktail time!" Areum shouts to the oblivious guys, and we immediately earn their attention -- along with some whistles. Hoseok immediately squeals at the sight of his transformed girlfriend, darting towards her in the blink of an eye before wrapping his arms around her.
"My baby is looking extra bomb in this red dress," I hear him murmur with a deep voice, which of course makes Areum giggle like a little teenager. However, I don't pay them much attention since my eyes wander over to Taehyung. My heart jumps in bliss when I catch his mouth dropping open for just a split second upon seeing me, blinking a couple of times while running his tongue over his lower lip. A knowing smirk find its way to my lips as I approach the coffee table to grab myself something to drink. Jimin is by my side within a heartbeat, gently nudging me with his elbow.
"Ouff, what's your number, sugar?" he asks with a suggestive voice, instantly making me laugh.
"Jimin I can't take you seriously when you're looking at me like that," I wheeze and grab a glass, pouring in some wine and start sipping on the bitter but sweet liquid.
"I'm no photographer, but I can totally picture us together," he then murmurs with a wink, which causes me to choke on the alcohol running down my throat. I start coughing and laughing at the same time.
"You've been spending too much time with Jin lately," I retort with an eye roll, finishing the rest of the drink in one go. "But please stop or else you'll give me a cringe-attack," I add while grimacing due to the bitterness of the alcohol. I was just about to grab the bottle again to refill my glass but someone else manages to get their hands on it before me. Then a deep voice speaks, instantly sending shivers through my entire body.
"That's not how a lady should drink wine," Taehyung says softly as he watches me with an intensive gaze. I gulp at the sight.
"I-I actually don't like the taste of wine, so that's why I can't drink it slowly," I explain with a slight stutter draped over my words. Even though I've been making out countless of times with this guy and slept next to him for over a month's worth of nights, I still get extremely nervous around him when he changes his aura like that.
He chuckles at my reasoning before suggesting, "Why drink it then? Here, let me make you a drink."
I let him take the glass out of my hand before watching him skillfully add different liquors and fruity mixtures until they combine into one colourful unity. I can honestly say that I'm impressed. Has he taken a bartender class? Oh, bartender Tae.. now that's a hot mental image.
He places the glass in my hand and urges me to take a sip, which I do without hesitation.
Oh my sugar and heavenly goodness.
A smirk immediately glows up his features when he sees my awestruck expression. "I knew you'd love a sugarbomb drink," he says with a content grin.
"Taehyung would be a great bartender, wouldn't he?" Jimin comments while pouring up some of my wine into a glass. He then leans back on the sofa next to me and takes a sip. "Ooh, the one who chose this wine knows their shit."
"I'll let my mom know," I reply with a snort, earning an impressed look from Jimin. "And yes, our Taehyung is multi-talented it seems," I add with a grin, nudging him gently on the shoulder. He copies Jimin's action by also leaning back, sipping on a dark liquid. "What are you drinking?"
"Coke."
"Just coke? You don't wanna spice it up with some good ol' Captain Morgan?" I tease.
He shakes his head slightly. "I don't drink."
I furrow my eyebrows at him, "You don't?"
"Nope."
"Ey V, don't lie like that," Jungkook speaks up, suddenly appearing out of nowhere to take a seat next to Taehyung. "He hasn't been drinking lately, that's a true fact. But you should've seen him a couple of years ago. Bro, you were such a pain in the ass! Remember when you passed out in Jackson's bedroom while cuddling his plushies?"
