And it totally blew my mind
And it will blow away yours too
♣ ♣ ♣
It was around six pm when I woke up from my "nap" that turned out to be an almost three hour sleep. Naturally, I started running around the house like a madman to get things done before Taehyung got here. I had managed to take a quick shower and assemble an outfit consisting of a pair of black, skinny jeans and a gray hoodie before I suddenly heard a knock on the door which made me freeze mid-motion.
What the hell?
I throw a glance at the clock. Six thirty. Don't frickin' tell me that..
My hand wrap around the handle and I slowly open the door, only to reveal an ever handsome looking Taehyung standing behind it with a cheeky smirk plastered on his ethereal face. As my mind couldn't properly process that he was standing in front of me, all I could at the moment was to stare at him while blinking rapidly.
Again, what the hell?
"Uh, aren't you going to let me in?" he asks after a while.
"It's not seven," I confusingly state the obvious. He lets out a chuckle before flashing me a crooked smile.
"I know. I'm craving cake," he says with a shrug.
"You want cake now?" He keeps staring at me with a innocent smile. How can this man in front of me be handsome, intimidating, sexy and cute -- all at the same time?
I chuckle as I shake my head at him. "Tae, you're so weird." I step aside, letting him into the house. He takes one step in and then looks at me for a moment with a raised eyebrow.
"What?" I ask him after closing the door.
"The thing you said," he murmurs.
"..What did I say?"
"You called me Tae."
Oh, I didn't even realize I did. It just felt natural to say his name like that, since we're friends. Or at least I think we are.
"I'm sorry, I didn't realize. I don't have to call you that if you don't like it," I explain nervously as I start walking towards the kitchen. He follows me, close by my side.
"It's okay. I like it. I don't think anyone has called me that before so I was just surprised," he says calmly with a chuckle at the end.
When stepping into the kitchen, I motion him to take a seat by the kitchen island while I'm taking the cakes out of the fridge. After placing them on a counter, I prepare a knife before turning around to face Taehyung -- whose eyes are mesmerized by the cakes before him.
"Which one do you want to try? There's one with chocolate, one with strawberries and one with apples and cinnamon."
"I don't know," he whines. "They all look and sound delicious.."
I chuckle at his cuteness. "Silly, just choose one now, you can taste the other ones later at Baek's house."
I notice the sudden frown taking over his expression, but a split second after it returns to a concentrated one. His eyes looks guilty, almost as if he was worried. Suspicion immediately sparks inside me. Something wasn't right.
"Yeah exactly, you're right. In that case I'll try the chocolate one," he says excitedly. Chocolate, huh? My favorite. Seems like we have one more thing in common.
I decided to remain oblivious to his previous sudden change of mood and act like I didn't notice anything at all.

"Here you go! I hope it tastes good," I beam as I hand him over a piece of chocolate cake on a small plate. The way he was staring at the piece of dessert, looking like he was going to drool all over it, made me chuckle. He then takes a bite, and I silently wait for his reaction. His eyes widen. Soon they meet my gaze, looking at me in awe.
"It's amazing," he breathes before taking another bite. "I've seriously never tasted anything this delicious! What did you do to it?"
I couldn't help but laugh at his reaction, though feeling that my cheeks were getting slightly warmer. I've never been this happy just because someone's liked my cake. For some reason I felt accomplished, just because he liked it.
"I'm glad you like it," I thank him shyly with a chuckle. He smiles widely at me.
"I loved it," he murmurs before pushing the now empty plate towards me. "I want more.."
I laugh again. He's so damn adorable. "You can eat more later. The others have to taste it as well, you'd probably eat everything anyway."
"That's true," he chuckles with a shrug. It looks like he wants to say something more, but hesitating if he should or not. I wait for him to continue. "Uh, I... Can you maybe.. make more?" he finally asks me. I stare at him in confusion.
"You want me to make more cake?" I ask him, to which he nods slowly in reply. "Oh, I don't think I have time to make one more right now-"
He shakes his head, interrupting me. "No, that's not what I meant. I meant if you can make one for me? Just me," he finally blurts out. I stare at him in shock. Did I just hear that? "Because you owe for helping with the assignment. I mean, without my help we wouldn't had got an A," he quickly explains, looking away from me. Oh.. so that's why.
I eventually chuckle and say, "Of course I can make one for you. Just tell me when you want one and I'll do my best."
He smiles warmly to me before taking up his phone, probably checking what time it was. "Damn, it's almost seven. We'll be late," he groans as he stands up. I tell him to wait by the door meanwhile I clean up the kitchen and prepare the cakes for take-out. Five minutes later I step into my Converse and Taehyung helps me escorting the cakes to the car. Then we're finally on our way to Baekhyun's house.
"Don't do any sharp turns or else the cakes will be ruined!" I warn him.
"Oh god, we can't let anything happen to the cakes!" he gasps dramatically, making me roll my eyes and flash him a deadly glare. He laughs amusingly at my reaction. "I'm sorry. Don't worry, I'll be careful."
We chatted along in the car, reaching our destination a little too soon -- thankfully without ruining the cakes. Without bothering to ring the bell, Tae and I step into the house with cakes in hand. We are immediately met by the view of our friends that are lazily sprawled out on the sofas, who starts cheering out loud when noticing the desserts that we're carrying.
"Ey! You guys came! Took you long enough," Hoseok cheers as we come into their view.
"You actually brought cakes with you?" Baekhyun exclaims in surprise, the excitement in his voice evident.

Taehyung gives me an I-told-you-so look, to which I only respond with a glare. Though, my frown is quickly replaced with a bright smile as Baekhyun approaches us in order to help us escorting the cakes to the fridge.
"I thought we can sit outside for a while before the movie. You know, to enjoy the last warmth before the cold comes," Baekhyun tells me while taking out some drinks from the fridge. I enthusiastically nod in approval.
"Sounds perfect! Do you need help with carrying the glasses outside?" I ask and he responds with a nod. I carry the glasses outside to the porch and put them down on a large coffee table, before allowing my eyes to roam around the beautiful garden. My gaze eventually lock on the railing where Jimin had come up to me at the party, exactly one week ago. A quick flashback of the events that had occured that night floods my mind, causing my cheeks to heat up slightly at the sensual memories. But my thoughts are quickly interrupted as I feel a soft nudge on my shoulder, making me turn my head to the person guilty for my mind-escape. As expected Areum stands by my side, smirking before leaning towards me and whispers, "You seem to hang out a lot with V lately. What's going on?"
Shocked, I look at her with wide eyes and a confused expression on my face.
"Nothing? We're just friends," I explain simply. She eyes me suspiciously, obviously indicating that she didn't believe my words for a second, but doesn't ask further questions about the topic.
"I have something to tell you. We'll talk more about this another time," she says mysteriously with a wink, leaving me extremely curious. However, my thoughts didn't have a chance to analyze what she could possibly tell me, since everyone emerged to the porch and took a seat on the massive, outdoor sofa. I'm quick to join them and it didn't take long until we were a laughing mess.
It amazed me how quickly we became comfortable with each other, it's as if we've been friends for years even though we've only known each other for a short period of time. We tease one another with zero mercy and there's rarely a time when we struggle to keep up a conversation -- it's rather quite the opposite. My stomach always managed to cramp up due to laughing way too much, but that only made me enjoy their company even more. It was at times like these I felt fortunate to have friends like them; friends you can spend several hours with and it feels like it's only been minutes.
♣
Two hours of continuous talking and laughter later, I find myself inside the house, searching for the bathroom. When finished, I go to the kitchen to drink some water before heading outside again. There I notice a phone lying on the counter, and my mind automatically assumes that it's Baekhyun's since he helped me with the cakes earlier. I press the home-button just to quickly check the time, in case we should start watching the movie soon. There's a notification up, and my eyes scan across the letters before I could stop myself.
My stomach drops to a bottomless pit when I realize that this isn't Baekhyun's phone.
It's Taehyung's phone.
A nauseous feeling clouds all my senses as the world seems to stop moving for a moment. My mind starts spinning as a flood of questions and internal scolding invades my thoughts. It's obvious who Yuna is -- she's that Yuna. I almost forgot all about her; her warning and the small detail that they're friends with benefits. How could I be so stupid?
I almost felt like puking, not only because of her middle-school spelling, but because of the way he makes me feel. I didn't think too much about it before, but deep down I know that I'm attracted to him -- and not only to his looks. Momentarily, I had forgotten who he was; the infamous fuckboy V.
Emotions well up inside me, making my eyes water slightly. I bite my lip in attempt to prevent the tears from running, rapidly blinking them away.
Don't cry over him. Never allow yourself to cry because of him.
A deep, long sigh slowly whooses through my lips before I finally turn around and walk out of the kitchen -- along with the last hope I had left in him.
Why do I even care? It's not like there was something between us. Or was it..?
This was neither the time nor place to reflect about this, so I decide to put on a fake smile when I once again enter the porch and act like I know nothing.
"Do you guys want something more to drink?" I ask them cheerfully. They all nod and yell out 'sure', to which I chuckle at before turning around to walk back to the kitchen.
"I'll help!"
My heart twists at the sound of his voice, but I keep calm and collected even though my insides were screaming in agony. With a numb mind, I just quietly make my way to the kitchen with Taehyung right behind me, wishing I was anywhere else but here.
"Now I can taste the other cakes before they do," he snickers evilly behind me. I would've laughed with him, or playfully scolded him, but I couldn't bring myself to utter a single word. I'm scared that if I did, I would probably break down in front of him.
When we eventually enter the kitchen, I make a beeline to the fridge and take out some bottles of soda, meanwhile Taehyung walks up to the counter where I had found his phone. In the corner of my eye, I notice him swiftly turning his back to me while seeming to tap in answer to the text message.
As if some had delivered a suckerpunch to my stomach, I once again felt sick and completely empty inside. Stupidly enough, I did have a small glint of hope that it might not have been his phone, but there had been no doubt in it -- and it drove me crazy how much I actually cared.
Jesus Christ, get a grip of yourself and stop this damn behaviour. You knew he was like this, so what the hell did you expect? Treat him like a friend, that's the closest you'll ever be, anyways.
My subconsciousness was right. This was really getting ridiculous, I have to snap out of this daze and ignore my foolish heart.
"Do you think these three will do?" I ask Taehyung when he eventually puts his phone in the pocket of his jeans. He seemed perplexed at first, but quickly masks his previous frown with a crooked smile, before nodding and taking two of the bottles out of my hands. Then we walk back to the porch. I still felt like shit and I have to admit that it was difficult to look at him without feeling that my heart would explode in my chest. All I wanted right now was to go home and curl myself into a ball of sadness and despair.
Just let it go and have fun with your friends.
My subconsciousness slaps me in the face, urging me to wake up and let it go -- to which I comply. I crack a smile before joining my friends again, and as I did so; Jin suddenly turns to me.
"Hey, Blue! Wanna hear a joke?" he asks unexpectedly, a wide smile spread across his handsome features. All the others groan and I watch as Namjoon and Yoongi cover their faces with their hands. What's up with them?
"Please, save yourself while you can," Jimin pleads with eyebrows curled upwards in pain. I just eye him confusingly.
I shrug, "How bad can it be? Bring it on Jin," I say, smiling at Jin who looks beyond ecstatic while the everyone else facepalm themselves.
"What does a house wear?" he asks. I furrow my eyebrows at him, thinking for a minute before answering.
"Uhm... I have no idea."
"A dress," he burst out laughing. I stare at him for a couple of seconds before I got it, and then I start laughing uncontrollably with him.
"That's so bad!" I wheeze, trying to catch my breath. The others look at me weirdly.
"You seriously thought that was funny?" Yoongi asks, looking at me like he couldn't believe his eyes. I shrug.
"I'm really easy to entertain," I reply simply with a chuckle.
"Let's go watch the movie now before Jin cracks another one," Chanyeol suggests, to which everyone quickly agrees before rushing back into the house as if someone were chasing them with torches and pitchforks. I chuckle to myself before following them and finding myself a seat on the sofa. That's when we all notice that someone is missing.
"Hey, V! Where you going?" Namjoon suddenly shouts to Taehyung, who is just about to leave the room.
"Something came up, gotta leave you guys here," he says, looking at us with an apologetic expression on his face. And in that moment, I swear I could feel my stomach turn itself inside out. Something came up? More like someone came up. So he's actually leaving us to be with her? So much for letting it go, the sick feeling had returned once again.
"Yah, you chicken! Bailing on us just before the movie starts?! Bad excuse," Hoseok retorts, making Taehyung roll his eyes. His glance eventually falls on me as if he wanted to tell me he's sorry through his eyes, but I divert my gaze away from him. There was no way I could look into his eyes without crying in front of everyone.
"Sorry. I'll see you guys later," he finally says with a wave, and so he leaves the house. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding when I hear the door closing. Just great. How was I supposed to get home now?
"Blue?" Jimin's voice interrupts my thoughts, causing me to face him.
"Are you okay? You seem troubled," he asks, seeming genuinely worried. I can't help but smile at him for noticing my sudden change of mood. He's unexpectedly caring and observant, always seeming to notice every time I'm not feeling okay. How he does that is beyond me, or perhaps I'm just making it too obvious since I'm the worst actress one can possibly lay its eyes on.
"It's nothing, really. It's just that he drove me here and now I don't know how to get home," I explain simply with chuckle. And he's gone off to a girl that told me to stay away from him because she think he belongs to her but he's made me feel something I've never felt before and I'm scared to lose him even though I never even had him from the beginning.
"Silly, I'll drive you home. Don't worry about it," Jimin assures me with a warm smile, along with a soft nudge on my arm.
"Really? Are you sure?" I ask, not wanting to be a burden for him. He shakes his head at me.
"Of course I'm sure. You seriously think I'd let you walk all the way home?"
"Thanks Jimin, you're the sweetest," I squeal, wrapping my arms around him in a quick hug.
He tense for a second, probably surprised by my sudden action, but returns the hug with a soft chuckle.
"Okay, guys! Are you ready for some sleepless nights in the near future?" Baekhyun speaks up after plugging his laptop to the large tv-screen with the movie ready to play.
"Hell yee!" We all yell ecstatically, except Jin who looks really uncomfortable and scared. The poor pillow in his arms looks like it will rip if he hugs it any harder.
And so the movie began. Personally, I love horror movies, so I was really excited to see this one. The others seemed to enjoy the movie as much as I did -- maybe except Jin. Naturally when watching a horror movie, we all reacted when a sudden jumpscare came up by flinching followed by a 'ooh' or Yoongi's favorite: 'holy shit'. Jin was the loudest of us all, who literally screamed out loudly at almost everything before burying his face into the pillow he was holding for dear life. At one point, Yoongi had enough and smacked the back of Jin's head in order to shut him up.
We are now towards the end of the movie and shit hits the fan. Jin had given up and wasn't even looking anymore. Soon another jumpscare appeared, which actually managed to scare everyone because we all screamed out in shock. And in that exact moment, I feel something grab my hand, holding it firmly. My gaze falls upon the hand that's intertwined with mine, before looking at the person to which the hand belongs to. It's Jimin.
Jimin is holding my hand.
