My second year in uni starts tomorrow yaeeyy (kill me) so I won't be able to update as much, but I will try to write as much as I can when I have time ♥
♣ ♣ ♣
My whole Sunday basically consisted of studies and anime watching. Focusing on what I was doing had been difficult, of course, since my brain gladly had yesterday's events on repeat like a little cinema in my head. It especially recalled Taehyung pushing me down onto his bed, hovering over me and I'm not even going to finish this sentence because I'm already quaking at the memories.
Chills.
Like a jolt of electricity running through my body, every time he appeared in my mind he left my spine in chills. He certainly did make me feel some kind of way. Excited. Nervous. Happy. Anxious. Scared. Confused. The effect he had on me was something I couldn't even begin to explain. It's quite nerve-racking, to say the least.
I suddenly thought of Areum, remembering that I promised to tell her about the hickey. This secret of mine has been kept inside me for too long, I had to tell her everything. Sending away a text asking if she had time to talk, I patiently wait for her answer but not needing to wait too long since my phone already started ringing a split second after it was sent.
"Damn you're fast," I chuckle into the phone after pressing accept on the call.
"Well duh, you've kept me waiting for too long. Now tell me about that hickey!"
"Wow calm down, I'm sorry! Brace yourself, this might take a while.."
And then I explain everything, from the beginning. At first I told her about that first detention when he leaned in on me, then that one time we snuck out, without mentioning the roof, and explained how he started acting different. Then I tell her about our fight and how he later had apologized to me. I quickly add my encounter with Jimin at the library and when we met again at the party. Lastly, I tell her about the pepero game and how Taehyung had pulled me into that bedroom after pushing Jimin away from me.
"He pushed me against a wall, leaning into me like he was going to kiss me or something. That's when he left the hickey on my neck and he said that I belong to him and stuff like that. I'm just so goddamn confused." I breathe out the last sentence, breathless after talking non-stop for twenty minutes.
Silence engulfs us. I nervously wait for her words of wisdom, mentally preparing myself for the wave of scolds she's going to hurl at me.
"Holy shit," she eventually breathes. "My friend, I have no idea what to say."
I left Areum speechless. Okay, my entire situation is officially really bad. I release a frustrated groan.
"Areum, he's driving me insane! Is this normal? Has this happened to others before?"
"To be honest I don't know. I've actually never heard about him behaving this way before. The part where he dragged you away from Jimin was particularly unusual. Those guys never get involved with each other's flings. But Jimin's behaviour was weird too! He's super good at persuading girls, like really freaking good at it. And it's unusual that he talked to you for that long, they all normally just get it over with. My best guess at the moment is that it's something about you that they both want. But I wonder why.."

Her words sent my mind spinning as confusion overwhelms me all over again. How come they both act strange and it's all because of me? I don't want to effect their friendship in any way, hell, I don't even want to be involved with them! Why was this even happening to me?
"But Areum, what did Taehyung mean when he said that to me? Why did he say that I belong to him?"
"Yeah that was super weird. I'm actually really curious myself, because I honestly have no clue. I've actually never been this clueless when it comes to those guys. They normally just get it over with and move on. Oh HEY maybe that's it! Maybe they made a bet on who's getting into your pants first!"
Her absurd theory causes me to screech.
"Areum don't say that! That will never happen, anyway."
"Good, stay on the ground with your head high. Don't let their little games fool you. But this is actually a little exciting. I'm curious of how things will escalate..."
"My life is like a freaking cliché fanfic," I mutter exasperatedly, burying my face in my hands.
I hear her chuckling. "At least it's interesting. But don't worry, I'll always be here to back you up."
"I appreciate that." I smile, even though I know she can't see me. "Hey, does their persuasion plan usually involve them forcing me to study with them at their place?"
"Hold up, what have I missed now?"
"Uhm, Taehyung kinda forced me to do the assignment yesterday with him. At his house," I explain. Silence falls upon us once again.
"Dude, he invited you to his house?"
"Well... yeah. Is that a bad sign?"
"He's never brought girls to his house. Ever."
Now it was my turn to be left speechless.
"What does that mean?"
"... I don't know. But something is definitely fishy here. I guess we'll just have to wait and see how things turn around in the end."
"Yeah I guess," I eventually mumble with a sigh. "Oh by the way, do you know anything about Taehyung's mom?"
"Nope. Honestly, no one actually knows much about him. Except his friends of course. He's good at keeping his life private, or at least his personal life that is. Why do you ask?"
"Oh, it's nothing important," I assure her, though I couldn't help but feel disappointed. So no one actually knows anything about him?
Looks like there's no other way to find out about his past unless I hear it from Taehyung himself. But how can I get him to speak?
"He's a mystery, that's for sure. That's why sooo many confess to him in hope that they will be the one that's ever come close to him. It's like a silent war. I almost feel sorry for the guy. Almost. He's still a dick, though."
"Has anyone come close to doing that?"
"Nope, at least not anyone I know of. But there's one group of girls that's always around them, following them like a squad of ducklings. Their leader is suuuper obsessed with Taehyung. She's that girl in those cliché Wattpad books who eventually tries to shoot the main protagonist but ends up in jail or something, you know what I mean right?" I quickly hum in recognizement before she continues, "Yup. In other words; she's a complete psycho. She hasn't confessed to him or anything, they just met at a party and hooked up. But ever since then she's had her eyes on him like an obsessive hawk eyeing a pray. Rumour has it that they're kinda fuck-buddies, friends with benefit-ish, but that's just what I've heard."

Ouch. My stomach twists in disapproval to this gossip, making me feel sick.
"So what's her name?"
"Her name is Min Yuna. Her friends are obsessed with Baekhyun because he's rich. It makes me wanna punch their little plastic faces. Ugh, I hate them so much."
I groan with her. "I understand why. But hey, at the party you and the guys were with Jimin and the others. How come? I thought you didn't like them?"
"Oh that's an interesting story actually. These guys always come to Baekhyun's parties, or all parties actually. Anyways, Baekhyun went to greet them as usual and Namjoon suddenly just wanted to have a conversation with him. This is odd because otherwise these guys always have a plan that consists of drinking and then immediately finding some girls to hook up with. So they started talking, and then Jimin also disappeared and when we couldn't find you we all just decided to dance and stuff. And oh my god we had so much fun! They're actually hilarious to be around when they don't act like fuckboys. So yeah that happened."
"Huh, the more you know. Maybe they all have a good side, after all."
"Maybe they do," she says with a loud yawn. "But I'm hella tired now so I'm going to bed and dream about Jung Taekwoon."
I snicker, but my laughing quickly transforms into a yawn, making me realize how tired I was as well. "Same, but mister Cha Hakyeon will hopefully invade my dreams instead. Thank you for calling, I'll see you tomorrow."
We bid our goodnight's and hang up. After my nightly routines, I finally cuddled up to my duvet and let mine and Areum's conversation go on replay in my head. For some reason, my mind refused to let go of the mental image of Taehyung and Yuna together. Only the mere thought of them made me nauseous. But why do I even care? Why did I feel bothered by the whole concept of them?
I sigh deeply.
That damn Taehyung is causing way too much trouble for my heart.
♣
Monday mornings were always slow, uneventful, nothing out of the ordinary for us simple mortals. However something happened this morning that surprised the hell out of me.
Taehyung wasn't late.
Areum and I had been conversing by my bench per usual when he suddenly waltzed into the room, attracting the gazes of everyone in the classroom -- including the teacher who didn't seem to believe his eyes. When he later sat down on his seat, class began and resumed as normal.
"Where is Taehyung and what have you done to him?" I dramatically whisper to him with a smirk on my lips. He glances at me, revealing a crooked smile while snorting quietly.
"Why so surprised?" he asks, raising his eyebrows in a confused manner. I give him an are-you-even-serious-right-now look, earning a delighted chuckle from him.
"I figured that detention isn't fun without you being there to keep me company."
My eyes widen in surprise, never thinking that these unexpected words would ever come out of Taehyung's mouth. My heart skipped a beat in bliss.
"I thought you liked being by yourself."
"I thought so too."
Then we just look at each other, his eyes never leaving mine for a generous amount of seconds. His eyes look sincere, glowing almost. Those luscious, plump lips of his form into a small smile, the heart-fluttering sight causing a herd of butterflies to break loose in my stomach. Taehyung is indeed one enticing human being, because only by doing something as simple as smiling, he manage to make my hormones go on a rampage inside my living shell.
Eventually we both had to divert our gazes and focus on Mr Vong's arrays of information that sadly enough was ignored by the vacuum that currently has replaced my brain, only a void was left that sucked the words into oblivion. Taehyung completely invades my thoughts, making me space out as I start to reflect over what he had said.
Did he really mean what he just said? And why did it make me so happy?
♣
The bell finally rings, meaning that lunch time had officially begun. Everyone quickly rushes out of their seats, but me being an exception. Since I wasn't able to pay attention for most of the time, which means that I had forgotten to copy the notes written on the whiteboard, I hurriedly scribble down the last ones before eventually making my way out of the classroom. As soon as I step my foot outside the room, I flinch while abruptly coming to a halt when the sight of Taehyung leaning against the wall makes me forget everything that I was doing. When he notice me, his lips curve into a smirk as he approaches my immobilized self.
"You daydream too much in class," he points out with a chuckle. I frequently open and close my mouth like a brain dead fish, trying to find the right words to say.
"You waited for me?" I eventually ask, completely surprised over this unexpected gesture.
"I told Areum that she can meet us at the cafeteria, since we have our lockers at the same place," he replies casually as we start walking. I slowly nod a couple of times, my mind in yet another daze.
How dare she leaving me alone with him?! I'm so going to kill her later.
I notice as we are walking that everyone have their eyes focused on us, watching in silence and shock. Why are they staring like this? It makes me uncomfortable.
"Uh Taehyung, why are they looking at us like they've just seen ghosts?" I whisper to him so that only he can hear. He chuckles before leaning towards me and says, "Just ignore them."
I sigh when we finally reach our lockers. "I don't like the attention," I mutter while closing the small door after leaving my books inside. Just then, Taehyung suddenly flips me around before slamming my back against the locker behind me. His eyes lock onto mine, leaning himself towards me while a smirk appears on his lips. They part slightly before drawing them close to my ears, barely brushing his lips against my skin, the action sending shivers through my spine. I hear him draw in a breath before speaking lowly with a husky voice, "Why not give them a little show while they're already staring then?"
My eyes widen as my heart starts pounding furiously against my chest, heat rising to my face at his words. What in the frickity hell is going on? I couldn't get myself to move, my body was completely immobilized under him and all too aware of his body pressing against my own. Guess where my hormones are? Everywhere.
Before I had any chance to react to his sudden action, he releases me and watches my flustered face with a grin, snickering at the sight. I was left staring at him, still unable to process what just happened.
"Come my little tomato, let's go eat," he says with that cheeky smirk still plastered on his face. I silently follow him with my mental state in shock.
Was this your plan, Taehyung? You're such an ass.
Wait, did he just call me a tomato?
"HEY! I am not a tomato!" I whine and slap his arm when catching up to him. He just laughs amusingly at me.
"The colour on your face tells me otherwise but whatever you say."
Humiliation bubble inside me, but I knew he was right because I could feel just how red they were. I still felt it was necessary to bicker against this asshole anyway.
"And that stupid stunt you played over there, was that really necessary?" I scold him, irritated over how he managed to draw even more unwanted attention to us.
"It wasn't. It was just for fun," he replies simply with a playful grin. I roll my eyes, placing my cold hands onto my cheeks in attempt to cool them down.
"You have a really stupid sense of humor," I mutter bitterly. He snorts at my comment.
"Seems to me like you enjoyed it."
"In your dreams."
"There too."
Oh my god this kid is driving me insane.
We soon reach the cafeteria so I can finally get rid of him, but soon noticing that his friends aren't sitting by the table they had claimed as theirs. I give Taehyung a confused look however he don't seem surprised at all. What is going on? We make our way to the table where Areum, the guys and I usually sit by.
Fuck.
My.
Life.
I wasn't met with the usual sight of Areum, Baekhyun, Kai and Chanyeol sitting alone waiting for me to arrive like usual. My stomach twists in horror when I notice all of Taehyung's friends sitting there with them. Areum sees us and waves us over to them, and all I could do was to stare at them while cautiously approaching the table. Taehyung greets his friends like this wasn't a big shock to him before we sit down, me next to Areum and he in front of me. The guys immediately starts talking, which makes this the perfect timing to ask Areum what the fudge is going on.
"Why the hell are they sitting with us?" I hiss to her through gritted teeth.
"Remember when I said that we all got along at Baekhyun's party? Well, we all clicked so well that we decided to become friends!" she explains excitedly, leaving me dumbfounded with my mouth agape.
"Excuse me what? Weren't you the one that told me to stay away from all of them?"
"Well that was before we actually knew them personally. I promise, you'll like them too once we all hang out!"
I was all out of words to say when realization dawns upon me. Does this mean that I will literally hang out with Taehyung on a daily basis? I don't even know how to react or what I should feel towards this sudden change. It's awkward enough that Taehyung acts the way he does, but now Jimin has to be around as well? I have a strong feeling that this is not going to end up well.
"How about everyone meet up at my place on Friday?" Baekhyun's voice wakes me up from my daze. Everyone seems to react enthusiastically to his suggestion, making me realize that I should just accept the situation and make the best out of it.
"Sounds good to me," Namjoon says with a wide smile.
"What did you have in mind?" Areum asks curiously.
"Food and horror movies," Baekhyun reveals with a dramatic grin, making everyone even more excited.
"Perfect! I'll bring some popcorn," Chanyeol exclaims happily.
"I'll bring drinks!" Hoseok says.
"I'll bring cake!" I say excitedly.
"I'll bring myself," Taehyung says sarcastically with a grin, making everyone laugh.
Then we all just talk during the rest of the lunch, and I had to admit; these people are indeed entertaining. I honestly didn't expect any of them to be as chill and funny like Areum had described them, but to my relief I was proven wrong. Even Taehyung was joking around, teasing the guys and we all just laughed constantly the entire hour. This made me realize that I wouldn't mind spending time with them everyday at all, and after this I actually started looking forward to see them everyday -- even Taehyung.
