《When I Met You(Gakuen Alice fanfic)》Epilogue: When I Met You

"And then what??? What happened next, Papa?" He squealed at me with his big hazel eyes as his raven-black hair bounced aimlessly.
"Yeah!! W-what hap-pened???" She stumbled with her words as she repeated them. Of course she was only two years old, still learning how to talk. Her bright brown hair curled around her shoulders, and her small crimson eyes beamed at me in curiosity.
I checked my watch and sighed, tired from the hard work I had put in that day. "I think it's about time that you and your sister go to sleep."
"AWWWW!!!" They said in unison. I rolled my eyes as I tucked them in. They both loved this story so much, so I couldn't help but keep on telling them about it.
"Ah... alright. I'll finish the story but you two know the ending already~" I yawned. I began again from where I left off,
"All you could hear was the sound of the gun going off. He shook with everything he had. It turned out that he didn't shoot the evil Principal, but he did shoot his arm. While the Principal was crying out in pain, and shouting out curse words, the man ran to his love. He was afraid that he was too late but he could hear her faintly breath. He took her in his arms and brushed her hair out, it was in a ponytail but it was now messy because of all fighting that she had done. He finally mustered up all the feelings he had bottled up inside of him and confessed everything to her. The boy, brushed the girls' bangs out of her face and made sure she woke up first, then stopped his tears from falling.
At last, they could finally be together.
After that, the Principal was arrested for abuse and other things, but he was sentenced for life in prison. Aoi had been given her memories back and sent to live with her father. It turned out that she wasn't harmed that much and her mind seemed to be untouched except the loss of memories had permanently damaged her Alice and she could no longer use it. It was good for the boy because Aoi didn't have to come back to the place that caused her bad memories. The boy grew up with the girl and they were madly in love. All the scars had been healed. Including the friendships he had made with everyone." I smiled with closed eyes.

"But, Daddy... you never told us why the Prin-cipal said the girl's Alice would hurt A-Aoi!" The girl with crimson eyes, said, "Or what happened to Ho-taru and Ru-ka!!"
"Well, the man asked the girl and she said that she tricked the Principal into thinking Aoi had her stealing Alice. Instead, she had the 'Voice Alice' which was very powerful that anyone who held it, was in great risk. If the girl had taken the Alice out of Aoi back, she would have died. Although the girl loved to sing and it was her dream to be a singer, she sacrificed it to save Aoi's life."
"If her Alice was gone, why was she sick?" The boy leaned on his arms. He loved to often lay on his stomach in bed.
"She had a trace of her Alice left from a stone but all the missions she had to go on made her weak. Plus she loved to sing, imagine trying to do something you love and it ends up hurting you." I sighed and they had a gloom look on their faces. They seemed to understand a lot more since they were older. When I had told the story before, they were always confused at the end. "Oh and Hotaru and Ruka got married and had two kids. They're twins but the complete opposite of each other, except their incredible Academic Marks on Subjects(Good Grades). They moved far away but they visited the boy and girl from time to time. Although their kids haven't met yet."
"Us?" They said in unison once again.
"Yep." I said, embracing the both of them.
"Mommy and I had you two. Suru and Hisana" I grinned and they exchanged goofy glances.
"Is that the end?" Hisana beamed, "What now?"
"No, the story continues on. Although we fight, we end up closer than before. We'll continue to grow old and share everything. We'll fight and love and help each other. In fact, there is no end to this story."
"And we're a part of this story, huh, Dad?" Suru said with a glint of curiosity as he pressed his face against his pillow.
"Yes. You'll see, I'll tell this story again when we go visit your Aunt Hotaru and Uncle Ruka."
"What are you all doing?" A voice said in a sing-songy tone behind me. I smiled as I extended my arms for a hug. "Natsume, are you telling them the story again? Don't you get tired of the same story?" Mikan wrapped her own arms around my neck and sat on my lap. I currently sat on a chair in the middle of Hisana's and Suru's beds. We both gazed at them lovingly. We never thought we'd ever make it this far.

"Nope!" Suru cheered, flopping his raven-black hair over his eyes. Mikan brushed them back and smiled.
"I love this sto-ry!" Hisana cheered, but later on yawned.
"Yes, Yes. Mommy loves this story too~! Now, you two have to go to bed! You have school tomorrow!!" Mikan unwrapped herself from me and attended the two. She tucked them in and placed a kiss on top of their heads.
"Mom... is it true that you lost your voice?" Suru asked, his eyelids getting droopy. I sat there, amused with my children. I could never get bored at them.
They are so much like us. But they both hold the same beautiful personality like Mikan. They are bold, kind, and indeed beautiful in all aspect. When they came into this world, they had a smiling face, just as their mother holds. I could never be happier than this. If only I could hold onto them, like memories, like pictures, but I no there's nothing I can do. Everything changes, everything goes on, everything must live for tomorrow. Although they're still small now, I know that they'll grow a little more each day. They'll face conflicts, something known as love, and many other things. They'll get confused, they'll fall, and sometimes they won't know what's happening. Just as I was when I was their age, I'll never know of what's to come. But unlike the flaws I made, I'll make sure to watch them, carefully. I'll make sure to help them when they need my help. I'll guide them.
"Natsume? Are you coming?" Mikan waits by the door; I'm still leaning on the chair, wondering.
"Yeah." I let out a small smile and get up.
I almost forgot... I'll watch them grow but alongside Mikan who I love just as equally. Together, we'll grow old and watch the sun rise, and then set. We'll hold hands until the end of time and kiss as if there's no tomorrow. Even when it gets tough, we'll continue to persevere... together.
Tomorrow is a place that I continue to look forward to. Because I know now that no matter what, I'll always find Mikan there.
"Dad?"
I stop at the door, with Mikan beside me. She lets out a little sigh and smile afterwards. It's Suru. Our beloved first child. He took his physical traits after me but his Alice's, eye color and personality after Mikan. Which I'm glad for because every time I see him, I see Mikan and it makes me happy.
"Yes, -suru?" I approach him and kneel down to his level.
"What happened after you realized your feelings for Mom? What were you thinking when you found out?"
I smile at him. Then I visualize him grown-up. Up to my age when I met Mikan. I imagine that he has feelings for a girl that is just as optimistic and bright as Mikan. That he has trouble expressing himself and that he'll have to fight for his love to come true. Maybe he'll fight with his best friend, or maybe she already has a boyfriend. But whatever happens, he'll get through it and he may or may not get the girl. I see myself in him and I wonder what will come in his future, whatever it is, I'll be there and I'll give him all the support he needs. He won't make the same mistakes as me.
Then I realize something that has never occurred to my mind before.
All those mistakes are what gave me all these blessings today. Mikan, Hisana, and Suru. It's because I made those mistakes that I received pure and utter happiness.
So, to answer -suru's answer I looked towards Mikan who was ready to drop to the ground. She was sleepy but I knew she was thinking the same thing when we met eyes.
It was a gift to meet the other.
"Before I knew it, when I met her, I came to love her... more than myself, more than anyone... and more than anything else in the world." I answered honestly.
And he fell right asleep with a smile on his face.
THE END
Thank you for all the support!!!! Love You All!!! Oh and stay tuned for the Extra Chapter

Among other things, I separated it into a new book as it has elements of progressive LitRPG and a fantasy-world setting.Since I'll keep on writing The Wardens of Destiny, this will be one of my side-projects. Eventually in the future, I plan to integrate some of the protagonists in this story with the main storyline.
