"Unfamiliar ceiling..." Amy mutter as soon as she woke up. Her whole body sore, probably from the impact of falling into the hole. Realising that she is still embracing mikan, she slowly let her down on the floor and began looking around.
A completely enclosed dungeon- no window, only one exit guarded by the skeleton. They haven't taken our belongings and didn't separate us. Are they stupid or overconfident? Amy then look directly at one of the security cameras in the upper corner.
They are surely watching us right now...
"Urghh...." a groaning sound from Mikan avert her attention from her train of thoughts. Amy walks closer to Mikan and helps her seat.
"Amy-san?"
"Yeah, luckily both of us are together... are you alright mikan?" amy assess her for a bit, in case she sprains her leg or something while handing her a bottle of water.
"Y-yeah, I'm fine...!!!" mikan eyes bulged as she pointed towards the skeleton.
"Sk-sk-sk"
"Mikan" amy forcefully cupped mikan's cheek, and changed Mikan focus to her. Amy smile.
"Calm down. And don't panic. We don't have much time, remember?"
Slightly blush- knowing how silly she was just then, Mikan nodded. Satisfy, Amy finally let go and look towards the door. Mikan turned around and saw a woman of average height with shoulder-length hair who just arrived at their dungeon.
"Well, first thing first, let's talk with our dear guest - shall we?"
--
Earlier on, in the main control room...
"She is... too calm" Mihara Kanbu- also known by his codename Medusa commented after observing those two through the security camera. Then, one of the agent that responsible for the information gathering reported, "Sir, there's neither information nor details of the 2 companions with the black cat. No identity nor Alice can be predicted so far. However, those 2 trapped in the dungeons were related to the Leo and Code Red incident. It seems that one of them have shield Alice and another one was suspected to have nullification Alice"
"Shield and Nullification? The one with shield Alice probably nothing much... but nullification Alice is pretty rare... we should report this to the main boss" Medusa promptly decide after listening to the report.

Azumi yuka, whose face was hardened at the mention of nullification Alice immediately calm down and volunteer herself. "Let me check on their Alice first. Sending those two to the main boss with insufficient data will not be wise. At least, I can check whether it's true or not. And it will be beneficial to gather more data for our side"
"Is that so...as expected of a thief. Always ready and eager for more Alice data. Then, Shiki-kun, we'll task the information collection of nullification to her. And I will entrust you with the mission of capturing the black cat as soon as possible"
With that, Azumi yuka immediately walked out of the main room and head towards the dungeon- the place where both Amy and Mikan held captive.
--
"Hello, Maam, you've been staring at us for quite a while now" amy gently said, though her eyes were cold and emotionless. Mikan tugged her sleeves as she said,
"She's the one. From that time, the intruder" Mikan continue staring at her- confusion and wary evident on her. Amy just nodded slightly and continue on guard. She has always seen her- this woman, Azumi Yuka in the manga. Though her appearance brief, she was indeed the core of so much chaos dated back 10 years ago. Azumi Yuka- as though unperturbed by the hostility shown by the children asked,
"...I heard that one of you have nullification Alice, and another shield Alice."
Remembering the warning not to give out her Alice, Mikan clumsily replies "I-I won't tell you such thing" Amy could only smack herself in the head- she should have told her to stay quiet. What's done is done- she can only do a follow-up. Amy nonchalantly continue,
"Yeah, who knows? Perhaps none of us has that Alice. I mean- is pretty rare though. Of course, you of all people will know that" amy chuckled, simply play the fool. Noticing the hidden meaning behind her comment, Azumi Yuka face hardened.
"What... do you know"
"Perhaps more than you" she challenged Yuka, hoping that she will take the bait. If she took it, she will at least have private time to chat with her without others eyes. Sensing the crisis, Yuka decided to get closer to Amy and check her Alice before dragging her elsewhere. Amy was prepared to face it when Mikan immediately stand in between them,

"What do you want to do to her? Are you planning to her my friends again??"
Frowned, Yuka questioned, "...again?" Flared up by Yuka's reaction, Mikan then shouted,
"You! Don't pretend you don't know! We came here to save them- the one who has their Alice stolen by you and the two who were hit by the poisoned bullet! They did that to protect me- if this continues they will die!!! Even inchou was in tears as he might not be able to stay in our school. Even before that too... this all YOUR FAUL-!!"
"Mikan. Stop that" Amy shake her head, stopping Mikan from continuing her words. The teary Mikan look at Amy in disbelief as she said,
"Your sister was hurt by them too!"
"I know... but now's not the ti-!! Hey!" Amy immediately cast a shield in front of Mikan to shield the impact from the forceful blows deliver by Yuka. All things in her bag spilt out, and Mikan stumbled back from the impact. Though thanks to the shield, it was less painful. Angered, Amy immediately hold Yuka by her collar and shout,
"How dare you!!" as she slips an earing communication into Yuka's vest along with a small note. Remain unchanged, Yuka deliver a straight punch to Amy's guts causing her to fall onto her knee before proceed to lay down.
Yuka then use her Alice to check on their Alice as she coldly said,
"Whining and whining like a brat. Even if you whine, you can't change what already happened."
Then with one last kick to them, Yuka said,
"Go ahead and enjoy the remaining time you have before being tossed around like a toy by that sadist" as she stepped out of the dungeon- leaving those two behind.
--
"..." Standing at the blind spot of the camera on her way back from the dungeon, Yuka took out the note and the trinket a.k.a earing comm she received earlier. Looking down on the notes, she read,
Then the notes immediately turn into ashes in her hand before carried away by the wind. Yuka then decides to stuff the earring comm in her inner pocket before continuing her stride towards the operation room...
--
Uwaa, she could be a little gentle with it though...
Amy then proceeds to keep both antidotes they received from Yuka and clean up the scattered things. While doing so, Amy secretly whisper to Mikan,
"In 5 minutes, we will walk out of here. Be ready to run"
Mikan nodded. She then pointed out the antidotes they received in which Amy smile- confirming that's the one they need for Sophie and Hotaru. Barely maintaining their excitement in wrap, they've decided to seat against the camera.
5 minutes...
3 minutes...
5, 4, 3, 2, 1... now!
A silent electric shock generated, causing the camera to go into static preventing them from seeing anything in the dungeon. A strong shield cast, pushing the skeleton back into the corner, away from guarding the door. Mikan then took out the key and open the door, leaving the dungeon with Amy trail behind.
The camera went back to normal and nothing out of ordinary detected. The agent that was responsible guarding them regard the static as normal occurrence- unaware that the image of the 2 girls was in fact- a fake.
--
"Amy! There's a map over here" Mikan said as she pointed towards a map of the whole area with few dots blinking. Hearing no response, Mikan look back only to see Amy tiredly smile,
"Ah, I see. Let me take a look at it for a bit" Amy push forward, rejecting Mikan's offer to rest for a bit. Amy then look carefully, pinpointing the possible location for their exit when a loud explosion heard. Sensing the crisis, she immediately looks to her left, only to see Mikan already ran off to the source of the noise. Alert, she quickly chased Mikan. By the time she arrived at the entrance, a man suddenly teleported behind Mikan intending to knock her out.
"Oh no, Mikan!!"

Thief of Time
[Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Book 1: The Legend of Tot Synopsis: Claud Primus, a self-declared master thief, has a simple goal. To live forever. It's a rather easy task, for miraculous objects called lifestones are able to extend one's lifespan. These lifestones are best found in the treasuries of nobles, lovely resorts that Claud pays a visit to every so often. Unfortunately, one of those nightly visits go awry, and Claud is forced to escape with just a single lifestone and a box in hand. Normally, that's when things die down. The guards yawn, the gates close, and the night continues. But this time, the night isn't that forgiving. A dozen schemes result in the murder of someone important, and with a convenient scapegoat — Claud — at hand, it doesn't take long for him to be framed as a heinous criminal, wanted for the indirect murder of someone high up...and it just gets worse from there. Book 2: The Moon Lords' Rise Synopsis: As ordered chaos sweeps across Licencia, Claud leaves for Julan Barony, intent on making some profits there. Accompanied by the erstwhile heiress of Julan, a fellow member of the Moon Lords, the two plot against the barony's wealth...as well as a promise to bring about its downfall. Meanwhile, back home, the Moon Lords have busied themselves with digesting their gains. Eyes, however, are beginning to turn to this proverbial fish in a small pond. The fishermen are coming. When they cast their hook, what will Dia and the others do? Book 3: Murders under the Moons Synopsis: In the sleepy town of Nachtville, where Claud and Lily are forced to stop at, a set of nasty murders occurs. Victims scream out in fright, before a spear falls from the sky to end their suffering. Cowed and cautious, the master thief and his partner slink in the shadows, their objective that of home... A new task, however, has fallen on Dia. With a trusty helper at her side, she has to set off towards Nachtville itself, to solve the mystery Claud had abandoned. Faced with an enemy whose sole skillset is geared towards killing, how will they succeed? And what dark secrets will they find? Book 4: In the Dark of the Moons Synopsis: The year has ended. The four months of the full moons will soon be followed by two months of the new moons. Duke Istrel's ascension is around the corner. Amidst this political upheaval, Count Nightfall, Licencia's strongest defender, has been called away. The Moon Lords' largest task yet — to protect Licencia in the absence of its ruler — has begun. And yet, trouble is unrelenting. A distinguished personage, one that Claud fears, has been found dead in the county, his brains dug out and his body disemboweled. The inquisitors of the White Church have been dispatched to investigate and apprehend the murderer...as well as the person behind this puppet. Tormented by a call to fight, Claud directs his eyes out of the city, looking for the puppetmaster. Skulking in the shadows, the master thief will soon confront his greatest foe yet. A foe just like him. Book 5: Moonlit Tides and Darkened Seas Synopsis: A new era has begun. For the privileged, the sands of time dribble away for every passing moment, counting down to the arrival of a entity of mythical proportions. The night now harbours shadows and fog, and operatives of the Moons and the Dark clash in shadow. Claud, as usual, is investigating a spate of nasty disappearances in the city, but little does he know what these disappearances truly mean. And yet, a tide is coming. When it finally breaks, what will he do? Book 6: Secrets in Shadow Synopsis: The person behind a strike that would enter the annals of history flees his home, bringing with him the person closest to his heart into a new land and into a new world. Having left Istrel for the first time in his life, the two of them attempt to settle down in foreign lands, only to be caught in the middle of hostilities between two mighty powers grappling for dominion. Yet, none of that has anything to do with him. Following his desires, Claud eventually makes his way to the fabled Celestia Ruins, a fragment of another world. Bearing witness to truths he cannot yet comprehend, he returns from his exploration, a small break away from the machinations of destiny. One thing, however, is for certain. Destiny will not wait for him. Book 7: Reddest Rage Synopsis: Destiny churns on, heedless of mortal machinations, and Claud watches as the battlegrounds between the Moons and the Dark are drawn up. With the forces of the great Dark occupying Lostfon, Claud comes to a startling realisation — that he may have very well be a murderer of heinous proportions. Grappling with that realisation, he struggles to prepare for his Second Tutorial... Back in Istrel, Dia finds herself confronted with a perennial truth. Even in a time of writhing destiny, the machinations between nobles never cease to end — and unfortunately for her, the group once known as the Moon Lords are forced into dealing with a petty squabble between two counts. What they didn't account for, however, was the startling discovery they would soon make... And the shadow of the Red God's Holy Son behind it all. Book 8: Darkness Descends Synopsis: Nightmares haunt the horizon as Claud sinks and awakens from a seeming dream. What was once illusory begins to play out before him, in a way he cannot imagine. Dia, forced to wield arms, begins and ends a battle that opens her eyes to the vast dangers that lurk in this sundered world. Under the banner of humanity and divinity, she beholds the silent, forgotten protectors of Orb...but there is no forgetting the battle between the divinities. The Dark descends, the Moons writhe, and the horns of war blow once more. But this is not their battle. Not yet. Book 9: Moons Muster Synopsis: As more and more events fall into place, Claud finds himself desperate. Not for himself, but for the person who has turned into his world. Armed with the knowledge of a certain future, he approaches the only person that could possibly help him in his time of need, trading information for a promise of help. With that as solace, he returns to the grim task of understanding and seeking, revisiting an ancient, shattered fragment of another world...unleashing changes that he never knew was possible. Back in Istrel, Dia and the others must now navigate around a familiar spirit, who seeks to investigate the death of his master's Bearer. With them as prime suspects, the Seekers of Life must move carefully...but the Coloured Gods are not the only divinities eyeing them closely. The Moons, bristling from repeated defeats, are looking for new recruits, and the Seekers of Life are prime cannon fodder. Above all, destiny marches on, the unfeeling clock a warning to all. The Trial of Aeons will soon arrive. Book 10: Destiny Divine Synopsis: ??? Release frequency: one every few days or something, I guess. (This work is also being serialised on Webnovel under the name Revile as a trial run)
