"mou~ hotaru didn't wake me up again" i said as i run towards my school.

the bell's are about to ring and the gates will be closed. i can't and won't climb a tree again! the last time i did i was scolded and put into detention by gino - sensei.

"damn you hotaru!" i screamed as i continued to run.

i saw the gates about to closed as o made a dash towards it.

"STOOOOOOOPPPPPPPP!!!!" I screamed and run past through and rolled towards the tree.

"itai~ itai~" i said as i rubbed my head.

"seriously polka, how many times do you need to wear polka dots?"i heard a deep voice from my side, i looked and see a jerk as veins pop out in my head.

"natsume you pervert! you peeked again!" i said as i pull my skirt down

i saw him roll his eyes at me

"i didn't peek, you flashed it for the whole world to see idiot" he said and walked away as i pout at him

"let's go we're gonna be late" he said and continue to walk as i got up and run towards him and stopped beside him.

"since when do you care about going to class on time?" i asked looking at him and he glared at me.

"eek! okay okay i wont ask" i said as i raised my hands in surrender.

"good morning minna!!!" i greeted as we went inside the classroom, but i was quickly pushed by a forced into the wall.

"BAKA! BAKA! BAKA!"

"ack.. " i said as i dropped down from the wall

"hotaruuuuuu!! why did you shoot me again!" i said and fake cry on my bestfriend, hotaru imai.

"because you're loud" she said and went back to doing her mechanics, i pout and went to the back and sat on my seat besides natsume.

"good morning sakura-san" ruka greeted me as he sat in front of natsume.

"good morning ruka-pyon" i greeted cheerfully.

"shut up polka" natsume said from beside me as he covers his face with a manga.

"meanie" i said and pout.

i glance at the other side of the room, i see sumire, nonoko and anna chatting at the end of the corner and in the middle koko, kitsu and yuu are studying for the mock exam.

being a highschool student are quite boring, but for me it wasn't boring when i have all my friends with me.

"nee.. ruka-pyon, where will you study for college?" i asked as ruka-pyon patted his rabbits head.

"i will study at japan's national university, i'm going to take up business management course with natsume" he said with a smile

"oohh.. your both lucky to have something you want for the future" i said as i pout

"where will you study sakura-san?" he asked.

"hmm.. i'm still pondering about it but maybe i could go to the same university " i said and smile.

"that's good news, if ever you went there the four of us will all be together " he said and smile again

"that is if you pass the entrance examination" hotaru stated without looking.

"oh my god! the entrance exam! i have to study for it!" i said as i cried fake tears.

"good morning my lovely beautiful and handsome students!" a girly gay voice shouted from the front door of the classroom as he twirled inside.

"good morning narumi-sensei" i greeted with a smile

" okay everyone settle down, i have an announcement to make" narumi-sensei started.

everyone went back to their seats and settled down.

"as you all know next month will be the academy anniversary week, and top organization had planned several activities. from each class, there are one representative who will represent our class. so let's first start with who will be our representative?" he announced, no one volunteered so i raised my hands

"yes mikan-chan?"

"i nominate, yuu tobita as the class representative" i said and smile as i saw yuu whipped his head back at me

"going once? going twice?.... and done! welcome our representative Mr. Yuu Tobita!" narumi-sensei announced.

every one clapped with the embarrassed yuu who stood up and bow his head awkwardly.

"now lets go to the part about the booths, who will volunteer we at least need 3 volunteers for that" narumi-sensei said after looking at his check list

"me, sumire and nonoko can handle that narumi sensei!" anna raised her hands and volunteered as narumi clapped his hands in joy

"that's wonderful anna, now we need solo's for the afternoon event which is a singing competition" narumi-sensei said as scan the paper

"oh mikan sakura and natsume hyuuga will do a duet and a solo as per my decision hmm~" narumi-sensei said as he hummed

my eyes widened as i look at natsume who seem to be irritated by this announcement.

"lastly, we have this evening presentation where in every class has to prepare a stage play, like what we did a few years back about snow white" narumi-sensei said

"is that the last? we think of few ideas" ruka suggested

"you have any idea ruka?" narumi ask

"how about enchanted?" he asked looking at narumi-sensei who seems confused

"enchanted? care to explain in details?"

" it's like a mixed up fairy tales from cinderella, sleeping beauty, and snow white, of course a bit modernized but still have that same magical stuff" ruka-pyon explained which is actually a great idea

"that's brilliant! magnificent!" narumi-sensei praised.

"for that ruka will be the director of the evening presentation, for today i want you all to decide your roles in this play, be it a logistic or actors. now see you all tomorrow!" narumi-sensei announced and left the classroom

everyone jumped ta their seat and discussed among themselves.

"ruka-pyon, how about we draw lots for the roles? " i suggested which everyone agreed to be fair.

ruka-pyon started to make the draw lots as others started to think about what to do at the event.

why did i have to pick the main actress of all the things i could have picked!

"mikan-chan is the main lead!" anna declared as i gaped at her

"natsume is the main lead too!" koko shouted from the backed as i gaped at him too dumbfounded to even speak

" wahahhaha ruka is the supporting actor!" koko laughed i sweat drop

"hotaru is the supporting actress!" nonoko said as i went to look at hotaru's paper, with clearly written 'supporting actress'

" leave the script to me" sumire announced as she got the role of the script writer

leave the costume to us" anna and nonoko said with 6 more people to help them and the rest was to be put in logistic or side characters.

"You two better decide your songs first and practice, don't make us lose face" Hotaru said with a poker face.

I sweatdropped as natsume 'tched' beside me.

i look at my phone and scroll through my music to find a song that would suit me best and of course ia had to look for our duet too.

"Ne natsume.. what do you think we should sing?" i asked looking at him

"I dunno" he replied shrugging.

i nudge him slightly on the shoulders

"come on be serious and think" i said while pouting at him.

when i didn't receive a reply, i sighed and scroll through my phone again.

'how did i even fall in love with this stupid natsume hmmp'

"oh.. this is perfect.." i whispered to myself as my eyes glisten with anticipation.

" oh, natsume let's sing this!" i announced cheerfully.

"what?" he answered finally looking at me.

i showed him the lyrics on my phone.

"This!" i said with a big smile

" Monster?" he asked

"Yup! The song is cute! " i squeel

" listen polka, The earth will shatter and the universe will disappear before you make me sing that song" he said with a glare as i pout

" Then what do you suggest?" i asked

" Let's do a mash up"

"mash up?" i asked as my head tilted to the side

"what's that?" i asked with a smile as he faced palmed

" Mash up is a combination of two songs, means you will sing that song and i can sing mine, we can do it alternately" he explained

" what song will suit this?" i asked

" Timeflies will do" he said and searched the lyrics

" Okay then! let's practice " i said with a big smile

" We can reserve a studio with narumi " he said

"then lets go to narumi-sensei!" i said and stood up from mg seat

"tch" he tched as he stood up also and walk away

"wait for meeeeee" i said as i followed him

Natsume sat at an empty chair and took out the guitar he brought then he took out some papers and pens.

"Let's get started polka, we only have 3 hrs booked in here, we can't waste time" he said as j immediately sat beside him.

"Where should we start?" i asked

"Let's try yours first, go sing" he said and started to strum the guitar

he didn't reply and started strumming the guitar again and to my surprise he sang.

"Yeah yeah yeah, just focus on memorizing the lyrics, I'll do the Music that we will use" He said as he wrote something on the sheets.

I smiled, never had i thought that he will be motivated to do these things.

In an empty studio, two silhouette we're singing and bickering. One cannot see unless you look closely, A red tinted on natsume's face as he watched the brunette at the corner singing and practicing her vocals. He can't help but smile.

A week later...

"Mikan! Natsume! please stand by!" sumire shouted

Currently they are practicing for the play they are presenting

" I thought ruka is the director" Mikan said

" Beats me" Natsume replied as ruka sweatdropped.

" Well.. let her have her fun haha" Ruka replied as he tries to fix natsume's tie

" Why do i have to wear a suit?" Natsume grunted

" because its a costume, and beside be grateful you are wearing proper clothes, mikan is wearing curtain clothes" ruka explain as natsume looked at mikan

"That's a curtain? Doesn't look like one" Natsume said

" According to the script her clothes will be made of curtains so stop arguing" Ruka said and scolded as natsume grunts at him.

" You guys ready?" Hotaru asked as she popped out from outside the stage.

" Yep! I'm excited!" mikan said jumping up and down

"all you had to do is play like an idiot" hotaru said

"mou~ hotaru your a meanie" mikan pouted and stuck out her tongue.

" This is just a rehearsal but still give your best" Ruka said after he finished fixing the tie on natsume

"Start!" sumire shouted as both main actors went out.

A month later...

Today is the Academy Anniversary Week, The class have been practicing and preparing for the stage play tonight, sumire really did a good job at the script and directing the play despite the fact that the supposed director is ruka.

Natsume and Mikan, have been practicing their song, it took them a week to compromise at their parts.

mikan is also practicing her song for the solo performance, The song she's gonna sing will give away hints of what she felt towards natsume, which made her pretty nervous.

" Good day! ladies and gentlemen! I am Narumi and will be your host for this song performance, The academy students prepared this song in celebration of our academy anniversary! Let's give it up for my two favorite students, Mikan Sakura and Natsume Hyuuga!" Narumi Announced.

Mikan and Natsume went out from the back staged holding their mics, the staffs of the stage put out some chairs to the stage and a guitar.

"Hello minna! We prepared this song according to what we are feeling, Hope you enjoy this!" Mikan said with a smile, she looked at natsume and nod as he nods back, they both sat on the chairs prepared for them, Natsume started strumming the guitar and mikan started to sing her part.

Mikan started her song looking at natsume as he looks back at her while still strumming the guitar, they both smile at each other with unspoken feelings that both doesn't need to say.

Reaching the end of the song both sang the last part of the lyrics with mikan backing some parts and natsume backing another parts.
