we had almost kissed, at least less than six centimeters apart. he slowly backs away and tells me that we should head to bed. as flustered as i was, i ended up listening to him.

"do you feel nervous about sleeping next to me? i can go sleep on the couch-"

i stopped him from walking away by tugging on his shirt. i didn't want him to sleep on the couch because of me. "no... sleep next to me. i don't want you feeling uncomfortable. it's your bed."

he was surprised, i felt that look on his face on me. "you're a woman and i'm a man. are you sure you're okay on sleeping on the same bed with me?"

i looked at him. "i would feel guilty about you sleeping on the couch and me sleeping on your bed. there's no harm having someone next to you while you sleep. i think it's cute."

"fine, i'll sleep next to you."
