friday.

the weather's been quite cold, even the heater can't quite overpower the cold breeze that enters the apartment.

changkyun is off at work, while i stayed at his place with joonwoo.

i picked him up from preschool, which joonwoo has been going since changkyun took him in. the school building was quite lovely, filled with vibrant colors.

situated on the carpet floor in the living room, his dainty fingers tapped my shoulder.

"did you know it's daddy's birthday tomorrow?" he says in his small, adorable voice. he looks at me, as if he was disappointed that i didn't remember.

"yes, i did. i was just thinking on what i should get him." his eyes light up and starts smiling.

"he loves cake, mommy. and he loves you too."

his words surprised me beyond belief. "m-me?"

"i always see him smile whenever you text him."

"good to know, joonwoo." my smile turns to mischief, since his was the most valuable information i've heard all day.

"let's get ready joonwoo, we have to buy daddy a birthday cake.. a card.. and-"

"food."

"brilliant. let's go joonwoo... before he gets home. i want to hide all of these until tomorrow."
