day - january 24th

striding across the side streets, my eyes, still fixated on joonwoo. however, he stopped in front of someone and tugged on their shirt.

"joonwoo, don't run off-"

i looked up and there he was, im changkyun. the mien of obfuscation became evident on his face as i slowly approached them.

"i... uhh..."

"great day today, miss lee."

"yes, of course!"

there was that brief silence once more, with a dash of awkward. this time, the experiences of the strongest tug on my heartstrings occurred. maybe... just maybe, i was quite tense, no.... trepidatious.

"mommy's hanging out with another man."

that obfuscation on his face formed into a neutral look, which transformed into a sly grin.

"o-oh?"

changkyun mouths "was he your friend?" without the sounds of his deep voice escaping his lips, and to which, i nod in response. he mouths once more and asks to play along for joonwoo's sake, sincerely. and gave my response as a quick, simple smile.

"joonwoo, then that's not good right? i guess mommy deserves to be penalized."

"you're right, daddy."

"i'm really sorry, joonwoo. i should've known better... how can i make it up to you?"

"you will be spending your time with us, mommy."

changkyun asks, "where would you like to go, joonwoo?"

"t-the amusement park."
