"You want me to what?"

Arena's voice was loud and shocked as she sat in the chair opposite the CEO of the company, Mrs Park standing in the corner of the room with Mr Shin.

"I think it's a great idea," he leaned back in his chair and crossed his arms, the gesture clearly meant 'try me'.

Arena squinted and fired back, "This is not what I was promised. What happened to the Idol Dance Group I was brought here for?"

"We already told you," said Mr Shin, his voice heavy. His bright smile had changed into a deep frown as he pushed away from the wall and came to stand next to where Arena was sitting.

"The idea was rejected as the sole purpose of an "Idol" is to dance, sing and rap on stage. Thus creating just a dance team with no singing nor rapping, would not get good feedback and possibly could ruin our company. The entertainment industry here is very harsh," the CEO's voice suddenly sounded tired and Arena felt a small pang of quilt for raising her tone before.

"But.." Arena looked at Mrs Park who gave the most barely noticiable small shakes of her head. Arena sighed and looked at her lap. Nothing was going the way she thought or wanted. There was going to be no Idol Dance Group. She was not going to be able to debut as a dancer on stage and earn money doing what she loves and inspiring others.

"Then why did you go through all of this trouble just

to get me here if you had no intention of debuting me or at least giving me a chance as a trainee?"

The CEO smiled a little. Mr Shin was the one who answered, his own smile already returning, "Because of the offer he made to you 10 minutes ago."

"That can't possibly be it." Arena's head whipped to the side as she looked at everyone in the room in disbelief. "Me? You want me to choreograph their song?"

She got three nods as a reply.

"But why? Why me? Why the hell would you want a high school girl as a choreographer to a legit idol group. It's not like I have much experience or anything nor am I known. I might ruin their song." She looked down again and fiddled with her fingers. Another bad habit of hers for when she was waiting for someone to critizise her or when she was very nervous or shocked. Perfect for this situation exactly.

When Arena had walked inside the office, she had been taken aback by how amazing it looked and by the important looking man behind the desk. Arena had bowed quickly as the man had stood up and walked to greet her. He had shook her hand and at that moment she had felt that everything was going the way she had always hoped for. But when she had taken her seat...then things had gotten messy.

She had been told there will be no Idol Group, she would not be debuting nor becoming a trainee and that they brought her to Korea so she could choreograph Monsta X's new song.

(Clearly ya'll thinking how any of this shit could ever happen irl but whateves lol. You never know 😏)

Arena had been as shocked as she was confused and sad. But to choreograph for Monsta X and then teach them..

"It would be an amazing opportunity for them and you and us. I can clearly see that the boys are sick and tired of all those middle aged men choregraphing their songs and having to learn from videos. I'm not saying that there is anything wrong with that, the choreographies and -graphers have been amazing. But they could use a little change. And if the song is a hit, as we expect it to be, then success will be on your side as well. As to answer your question why we chose you then, well, you got lucky.

Well not entirely but, luck, a crazy amount of talent and some connections," he looked at Mrs Park who smiled widely, "got you to this position. It would be very stupid to give this up as to the word is already spreading." The CEO smiled and gestured to Mr Shin who had an iPad in his hands tilted towards Arena and was showing her the many articles :

"Starship Ent. brings in new choreographer."

"Airport pictures released as Starship gets a new choreographer from the States."

"Rumored new Monsta X choreographer arrives in Korea."

"Who is the person Starship brought from overseas?"

"Starship staff spotted with possible new choreographer."

And there were many more. All of those articles were from pages like Allkpop or Koreaboo or Soompi and others that kind.

The articles contained pictures of Arena in the airport, walking with Naha to the doors or when she was following Mr Shin to the parking lot or when the bodyguards had appeared by their side or when they had gotten into the car. Arena was happy that Naha's face was somewhat blurred out from the pictures and that her identy wasn't revealed. Luckily on all of the pictures Arena had her sunglasses and face mask already on, so that her own identy wasnt all over the internet. Yet.

"Oh my god." Arena looked at Mr Shin and then at the CEO. "Is this for real? That's what they were taking pictures of? Me? These look exactly the kind of pictures they take of idols." If Arena was shocked before than now she was speechless. What the hell? Was there no privacy? Were pictures taken of everyone as they wanted to fly somewhere else? She shook her head to herself and then looked up, making up her mind to not let this opportunity go. Yes this was a horrible situation and she had basically been cheated, things and real details had been kept from her, which hadn't been fair in any way at all.

But it was Monsta X.

Arena loved Monsta X.

"Okay, I'll choreograph for them." Arena tried to smile but it came out a little weird as she wasn't that happy about everything. Yet.

Mrs Park smiled and came to pat Arena on the shoulder. Mr Shin smiled, but he was smiling most of the time anyway. The CEO of the company smiled as well. He handed Arena a contract that was 3 A4s long and filled with writing. Luckily in English because Arena's Korean wasn't good enough to read important papers and then fully understand them correctly. The contract stated that Arena couldn't give away the members' personal contact info blah blah blah, the same story every staff member recieves, then on the next page was clarification as to what they were expecting from Arena. She had 2 weeks to create the choreography and then 2 weeks to teach it to Monsta X. Then was the MV shoot and other stuff. The last two pages were filled with the terms and conditions.

Arena made sure to read and re-read every detail just in case. She knew very well what happened in movies with properly unread contracts.

She signed it.

"So when do I start?"

When Naha was led away by the driver, she was happily surprised to see that the person was very friendly and talked a lot, happy to show Naha the building. They spoke in Korean even though Naha's grammar wasn't perfect and she made small mistakes here and there. The driver didn't mind. Naha found out that his name was Kim Jaehyun and he was 25. They moved down on floors one by one, Jaehyun talking about basically every door in their way and what was going on inside. He also showed some of them to her by opening the door. They reached the second floor where the recording booths were located and Jaehyun agreed to show her that as well.

"I'll just check if anyone is inside, just in case. If they are then we are going to be very quiet and ask permission." He smiled and disappeared inside. He came back out with another smile and opened the door, "All good, let's go inside."

Naha stepped in and took in the room before her. There were couches in this one and doors leading out of the room, where through open doors she could see more couches and people sitting inside.

Naha's gaze shot to the huge glass seperating the booth and the huge sound system, where a man, Naha thought it was the producer was sitting. Someone was recording in the booth.

The producer nodded his head to Naha and Naha did the same, she smiled and walked up to stand before the glass wall with Jaehyun.

Her smile faded when she saw who was recording.

She turned to Jaehyun, slight panic rising in her, "I've seen enough, let's go." She started moving away, but Jaehyun stopped her. "But..?" he was a little confused as to why Naha wanted to leave so badly. Luckily he could understand that Naha felt uncomfortable and so he nodded.

They started heading for the exit at the same time Wonho came out of one of the room with the couches.

His gaze was lowered and as his eyes slowly rose he stopped in his tracks. Wonho's previous thoughts had disappeared as quickly as the pain and longing in his heart had returned.

It couldn't possibly be her. Here. Right now.

Naha.

He took a few steps and reached out his hand, then pulling it back and looking at the back of Naha's head, who was still heading for the exit.

"Blue hair?" It was a nickname Wonho had given her.

Naha froze and panic once again rose inside of her. Oh crap, they weren't supposed to know that she was here. If they found out that Naha was here then that clearly meant that Arena was too, and their new choreographer was supposed to stay a surprise until their first lesson with her.

Naha looked at Jaehyun, who had explained all of that to her on the way to the recording booths. Naha mouthed a "Oh no." She squeezed her eyes shut and turned to face the guys. Others were now pouring out of the rooms as well.

"Hey." She cringed at the awkwardness of her voice.

Wonho was staring right at her. He looked like all of his emotions were flooding over him. Sadness, happiness, confusion, shock, disbelief.

Naha was quiet because she didn't know what to say, her eyes met Wonho's and she broke at the sight. He looked like he wanted to touch and hug her.

After they had hung out at the hotel they had kept in contact longer than Arena and Kihyun. Needless to say that Wonho had developed feelings for the Japanese girl he had met and was talking to everyday, someone who could understand him and support him. How could you not fall for someone like that?

Their contact ended soon after that when Naha stopped replying and Wonho had to accept and live with that fact. She had left him. No one knew why, not even Arena.

And now she was back.

Naha bit her lip and directed her gaze to Jaehyun. "Please, let's go." Nothing was going right. She had hurt him again, something she hadn't wanted to do in the first place.

Jaehyun nodded and they stepped out of the room, leaving the others there.

Kihyun stepped out of the recording booth seconds later, not having noticed the commotion, his face in utter confusion. "What's going on? Wonho, is it your turn?"

Wonho turned to him and decided not to tell him anything. If he couldn't have Naha then Kihyun couldn't have Arena. He smiled, "Nothing's wrong," and walked past him into the booth and put on his earphones, trying to calm his heartbeat and his breathing. Both had sped up the moment something blue had appeared in his vision.
