~ couple days later ~

with short notice, y/n went to the boys' dorm to celebrate minhyuk's birthday. she bought his favorite pizza and quickly walked to the dorm.

she knocked on the door while taking a deep breath. she didn't know how long she could stand being with kihyun in the same room. she planned on hanging out with changkyun and have a good time.

kihyun opened the door and smiled.

"you made it, come in." he told her, taking the pizza box from her hands and letting her go inside the dorm. you can do this. kihyun told himself, also taking quick breathes.

"happy birthday, minhyuk!" she told minhyuk, hugging him. he hugged her back, tighter than ever.

"thank you, and thank you for getting my favorite pizza!" he said, letting go of the hug. unlike jooheon's surprise feast, minhyuk's birthday wasn't huge because almost all of the boys forgot about his birthday.

"let's eat up!" minhyuk announced, opening up the pizza box. a large pizza was set in front of everyone, making their mouths water. one slice by one, the pizza slowly started to disappear.

after everyone finished the pizza, they all sat on the couch, feeling full.

"so, i heard you guys are working on the big one." y/n started a conversation, breaking the silence.

"yeah. i was surprised when we went to the studio the other day." jooheon responded.

"why?"

"when we were listening to the audio they gave us, it reminded me of the song me and hyung recorded. he later suggested that we should write about something like love."

"can i hear it?"

"let's keep it for a surprise." changkyun joined in.

she pouted. "i'll help you write lyrics."

"kihyun got it all under control." minhyuk answered, looking at him. kihyun looked back at him, then looked at her.

"hyung's in love, so he'll write everything he's thinking of." changkyun teased, making kihyun glare at him.

"oh really?" she asked, looking at kihyun. "who is it?"

"i think that's enough." he said, laughing nervously.

"oh, and here's a little something my dad wrote for you." she took an envelope out of her little purse and gave it to minhyuk. "i think it's a birthday card."

he opened the envelope and unfolded the card. money fell out of the card, making the others jealous, especially jooheon.

"what? i didn't get anything from him!" jooheon pouted. everyone else laughed, and minhyuk started to read the card aloud.

"wow, he's really the best ceo in seoul." changkyun said. minhyuk nodded and counted the money that fell from the card.

"50 dollars! i'm rich!" minhyuk exclaimed, throwing the money in the air. "i'm definitely gonna get that video game i always wanted!"

"does that make up for the gifts we didn't get you?" shownu joked. minhyuk thought that he was serious and nodded in response.

"yes! a gift from the ceo himself, i feel so special!"

"well, this is your special day, so make it last!" y/n told him, smiling. minhyuk smiled too and hugged her again.

"tell your dad i said thank you very much!"

"definitely."
