"let's get a drink before we go." minhyuk suggested while the six of them walked home after school.
"so y/n, how did elective go?" shownu asked y/n.
"it went pretty good; he wants to be my friend now."
"serious?" kihyun popped into the conversation, shocked. "after what he did to you, he wants to be friends now?"
"yeah, i had the same reaction too. he said he only did it because kwangji would pay him, but he didn't pay him yet."
"i bet you he used hoseok." minhyuk said.
"he probably did." she agreed.
"imagine if kwangji wanted to debut just to be famous." changkyun thought out loud.
"what does that have to do with anything we're talking about now?" minhyuk asked him, giving him a confused face.
"damn, can i not let my thoughts come out of my mouth?"
"no."
"let's change the subject." she suggested, trying to cool the atmosphere. "this is the last evaluation you guys will have before the final. how are you all feeling?"
"honestly, i'm a little nervous." shownu replied. "sometimes, i just think, what if we aren't enough?"
"what? why would you say that?" she asked, a little concerned. "you know you guys are amazing and talented. the world will love you when you all debut."
"what if we don't debut?" minhyuk questioned. "we'll have to train longer."
"at least you will have some recognition already. just think when the first episode was released how much people already recognized you guys and asked for pictures. plus, you know i'm your number one fan, and i'll support you all no matter what."
"thanks y/n, but this is the time where we actually need to get it together since it's the final one." jooheon said. "and it might be a time where we need your criticism if we can."

"no worries. i'll be here when you need me."
the boys all smiled, and jooheon put his arm around her shoulders. "you're the best chae y/n."
"i know!" she smirked. shownu poked her side, making her jump. she looked at him and grinned. "it tickles!"
"oh? is y/n ticklish?" changkyun asked, walking over to her and poking her more. she could hardly walk and was laughing really hard, making the others smile and laugh along.
"stop it!" she exclaimed, almost on the verge of crying. changkyun and the others stopped poking her, and she stood up straight. "aww man, i feel like peeing myself."
the others laughed harder, and she just shook her head, smiling. they all continued to walk to the coffee shop, laughing and talking.
shownu's phone dinged, and he checked it. he frowned, looking at the message, making all the others worried.
"sorry y/n, but we have to go to the warehouse already," he told her, bummed.
"understandable. you guys go, i can walk by myself."
"are you sure?" jooheon asked.
she nodded. "i'm fourteen, i'll be safe, i promise."
the boys hugged her one more time, before quickly walking in the opposite direction of her. she watched them, then felt sad while smiling.
is this how it will be if they debut? y/n thought to herself, turning around and walking home. she felt so lonely all of a sudden and sad at the same time.
"thank you for coming earlier than usual." hyungwon thanked the trainees as they stood in a line, listening to him talk.
"as you know, this is the last evaluation before your post evaluation. this one will be a little harder than the others because this will prepare you for the last one."

"you all will get an audio, and you will be writing your own verses. you won't be dancing this time, but you will be singing and rapping with microphone stands. you can write about whatever, as long as i understand what you're trying to put out. understand?"
the trainees nodded, shocked about the instructions they just got; they never thought about writing lyrics, but that's one of the most crucial things an idol needs to do.
"meeting dismissed. thank you for your time!" hyungwon stood up from his chair, signaling the trainees to exit the warehouse. all of them quickly walked out and entered their vans.
after the vans dropped them off of to their dorms, they gave them their cameras at the same time. the two groups never talked to each other while shownu put in the code to the building.
the trainees quickly separated their ways, not making eye contact once or making any interaction whatsoever.
kihyun unlocked the door of their dorm, and the five all entered, while minhyuk quickly set up the cameras.
after getting ready for bed, they all did their individual entries. they headed to their bunks while thinking of what they were going to write. this will be a tough one. shownu thought, feeling very anxious.

Fallout: Vault X
An original novel set in the Fallout universe, written to be accessible to all, featuring unique people and places. Vol.II. out now Fallout: Vault X tells the story of John. A vault dweller, who spent every day of his twenty five years underground. Like his father, and his father before him. Proud to live in the last remaining bastion of humanity, all that survived The Great War of the atomic age. Hidden deep below the surface of the earth, toiling under brutal conditions. Year after year, decade upon decade. All to expand into the natural cave system the Vault occupied, building for the future. However, John knew what his forefathers did not, that everything he’d been taught was a lie. After finishing school at the age of ten, John received his standard issue pipboy. An arm mounted personal computer, worn by everyone in the Vault. Used to coordinate the relentless pace of expansion, needed to work as an apprentice. To learn the craft that would be his life’s work. A noble calling to ensure a future for all that remained of the human race. A quirk of fate saw John equipped not with the crude, clunky, pipboy model his father wore. That almost everyone around him wore. His looked smaller, sleeker, finished in a jet black sheen. And capable of doing far more than its drab counterparts. The world above had been ravaged by atomic flames, yet life clung to its bones. The Red Valley fared better than most in the century since the bombs fell. The clean water and rich soil protected by rolling hills. All spared from direct strikes, for the most part. Life survived here. Trees spawned from charred ground, misshapen, green leaves turned red. Along with simple crops, grown wild at first, then cultivated by the survivors. The scavengers of the old world were inventive, hardy people. All determined to rebuild in the ruins of a world they never knew. In the decades that passed settlements emerged. They grew, spreading along the valley floor. Reclaiming the pre-war remnants of the once industrialised heartland. Salvaging the robotic wonders of a bygone age to build their walls and work their fields. To protect them in the dark of the wasteland. But such things are uncommon in this world, and the rarer something is, the greater its value. And the worth of pre-war technology had not gone unnoticed. The last, real, power in this world rested in the mechanised hands of The Brotherhood of Steel. Forged from the mortally wounded old world military. The Brotherhood used its access to the weapons made for a conflict no one won to strike out into the wastes. Men and women were equipped with advanced armour, aerial transportation, high grade weaponry. Accompanied by the training, strength, and will, to put them to use. They established chapters and set up outputs far and wide. All dedicated to a single purpose. To ensure the technology left abandoned by its long dead creators didn’t fall into the wrong hands. Namely, any hands that were not their own. This is the world John escaped into. A place of horrors brought forth from atomic fire. A place where survival meant battling against the darkness. Fighting a war each day to get to the next. And war...war never changes
