y/n's vision finally cleared, and she gasped when she saw who was in front of her.

"kw-kwangji?" she looked at hoseok, who was behind her. "hoseok? i thought we were at your place?"

"listen here." kwangji started to explain. "before you blame him for anything, i wanna say that you shouldn't blame him. he just helped me."

"but, how do you know hoseok? you don't even go to my school!"

"relax. i have my connections."

"you better explain right now, or i'm calling my dad."

"okay, okay."

he pulled a stool from the kitchen counter and sat in front of her. "i knew that you were going to jinjoo high this year, so i asked one of my friends, shin hoseok if, he could help me out with this plan. the plan was for him to fish you into becoming his girlfriend, and then he brings you over here so i can have a little talk with you."

"wait. so this whole relationship is all fake?" she asked, looking at hoseok, who was now behind kwangji.

he nodded his head. "it was all in the plan."

her heart broke in a heartbeat. "wh-what? but you promised-"

"promise? i didn't promise anything once." she paused, then realized that he was right; even for their relationship to last forever, he never promised that. "so, you never loved me at all?"

"nope."

she was on the verge of crying. "but all the things you said and the things we did together. that never meant anything to you?"

he shook his head. "you know, i could just do that if i wanted to."

"and you never cared for me and my feelings once?"

"i didn't say i never cared about you. i do care, but i don't care at the same time. you get me?"

she felt disgusted by kwangji and him. she looked back at kwangji, anger filling her body. she got up and tried to slap him but stopped when he pushed her down harshly onto the couch.

"seriously, what did i ever do to deserve this?" she asked, tears falling down her cheeks.

"pfft, please. you know what you did to deserve this. karma sucks, doesn't it?"

"i-i didn't know you were this hurt, though."

"well, maybe a question like 'are you okay' would've fixed all of this, hmm? now you know how i felt. it is only right if you feel the same way as i did."

she was just shocked, tears flowing continuously from her eyes. she put her head down and silently cried. "you are cold, aren't you?"

"when i want to, yes. you are the reason behind it. if it were not for you, i wouldn't be like this."

"why are you blaming me for everything?"

"i'm only telling the truth. you know that you shouldn't have played with my feelings like that. and because of that, look where we're at now."

he pulled her up by grabbing the collar of her shirt, their faces so close to each other. he smirked and pushed her away.

"you crying is the best thing, you know that?" he asked, chuckling.

"and you leaving me alone is the best thing too."

he slapped her face hard, to the point she fell to the ground. "stop saying nonsense."

she got up and hit his face back. he didn't make a big deal of it and just slapped her again on the other side. she dropped to the floor, feeling useless. he walked over to her body and squatted down next to her.

"you better get out of my dorm in the next ten seconds. if you're not out, then i'll keep you here longer." kwangji told y/n, kicking her shins hard. she quickly stood up while stumbling and limping to the door. she opened it and slammed it shut, walking to the stairs and sitting down on the top step.

she cried her guts out, feeling weak and numb from everything that just happened.

"park kwangji." she mumbled to herself while crying. "i can't believe you."

y/n continued to cry, feeling helpless; she heard her cries echo throughout the building and felt a little self-conscious. however, she didn't care whether the whole building heard her. she just needed to let everything out.

"y/n? what happened?"
