~ time skips ~

after eating a delicious meal, hoseok drove both of them to y/n's house, earlier than her curfew.

"so, we're here." he said, parking his car in front of her house. "with only fifteen minutes to spare."

"honestly, i've never been so happier." she confessed, looking down at her feet.

"what do you mean?"

"well, as you said, you granted my wish. i wouldn't say it was my first time seeing a sunset, but it was my first time seeing a sunset on the beach."

"are you the type who doesn't go out often?"

"it's not that; it is because of my parents. they don't like going out, and i've hardly been to the beach."

"that's a shame to hear. well, i'm glad i could make you happy today because you definitely made me happy."

"this was so romantic. i can cross this off of my bucket list for 'a romantic night with boyfriend'."

"you're so cute. you should head inside since your dad might be coming home soon."

"your wish is my command." she opened the car door and exited, closing it after her. she walked to the front door, entering the code, and opening it. she looked behind her and saw hoseok watching her.

"text me when you get home." she told him, talking in a loud tone. he nodded and grinned.

"goodnight, y/n!"

"goodnight hoseok." she entered the house and closed the door behind her. the first thing she did after entering the house was throwing her purse on the couch and jumping all around.

"now, this is something i'm definitely gonna tell the boys!"

~ a couple of days later ~

"you guys what?" the boys asked her, jaws dropped. y/n was explaining what they did on their date after school.

"yeah, and then the best part? he kissed me!"

jooheon almost spat his water. "where?"

"on the forehead."

"thank goodness."

"i can't believe y/n's younger than us, and she's over here getting kisses from her boyfriend who's taking her on romantic dates." minhyuk complained.

"and that's what happens when you're chae y/n." she flicked her hair, acting as if she was a queen.

"the next date you guys have, we'll spy on you guys." changkyun said.

"we'll be like those spies in the movies where they dress like the bushes and hide."

"please don't."

"it's an option, and we never promised that we wouldn't."

she rolled her eyes and shook her water bottle. "if you guys ever did that, i'm pretty sure i would spot you in the first five minutes."

"shownu hyung would be a tree for sure." kihyun teased.

"definitely! with his height, he can't compare to be short bushes like kihyun and changkyun." minhyuk said, making everyone else laugh except for the two who got called out.

"yeah, and she would know it's us because of you and your loudmouth." kihyun barked back, making him speechless.

"that's funny." shownu said, laughing hard at the comeback.

"i never got to ask you guys, but how are the practices and filming? is it alright?" she questioned.

"yeah, we just did a compact mission the night you went on your date." jooheon replied. "i think we have compact missions every saturday."

"no kidding, sherlock." minhyuk commented, rolling his eyes. "it's been like that since the beginning. what made you think that it would change?"

"geez, sorry."

she was happy to see that her friends were supporting her relationship. although they still had their doubts, they were happy for her no matter what.

i guess this is what jooheon meant after all. y/n thought to herself, thinking back to the time when she asked jooheon what friends are and do.
