~ time skips ~
the six of them headed for the coffee shop after school, a thing they always did at the start of the week.
"so wait, that's the answer? like, that's all i have to do?" changkyun asked y/n, who was helping him with his math homework. she nodded.
"yeah. did you not learn this in freshman year?" she questioned, looking at everyone for answers. they all shook their heads, sipping their drinks.
"they start teaching advanced stuff like that in sophomore year." minhyuk replied.
"damn, i learned this last year." she bragged.
"i think changkyun is just stupid." jooheon said. "we're literally in the same class, and i know how to do it."
"shut up." changkyun mumbled under his breath. she felt her hand buzz, making her look at her phone.
so, the first day wasn't too bad, hmm?
she smiled, seeing her boyfriend's name pop up on her phone. jooheon caught her smiling.
"what happened?" he asked. y/n looked up and just laughed nervously.
"o-oh, it was my dad." she replied. "he said that there is chinese takeout for dinner. yum!"
she secretly texted back.
no, it wasn't
the hug after school caught me a bit off guard though
: oh, am i taking it too fast?
: i'm so sorry, i'll lay back a little
: no no, please
: i love it, it's just it's coming from you, and i felt surprised
: you know, because you're that one popular guy that every girl has a crush on, but only dates the nerd of the whole crowd
she read what she just sent. her smile disappeared when she realized what she put was true. she was just a girl that he barely knew but insisted on dating her. miracles happen, i guess. she thought to herself.

y/n, please come home now. you need to help me with some ideas for the next compact missions for the show
your ride should be coming shortly. please don't make the driver wait like the last time.
"yikes, sorry guys, but my dad wants me home right now." y/n said, packing up her homework and taking her coffee with her. "i have to help my dad with some ideas."
"oh, see you tomorrow y/n!" changkyun returned, as the others just waved and watched her get into a black van.
"y/n." minhyuk said, thinking out loud. "something's up. i can smell it."
"literally though." changkyun added on. "she didn't smell like her usual self. she smelled like i don't know, a more deodorant smell?"
"you guys are thinking nonsense." shownu disagreed, shaking his head.
"if she were to hide something, she would mess up." jooheon pointed out. "she's bad at lying, we all know that."
everyone nodded.
"when i say lying, i say that tomorrow, she'll mess up somehow," he added on to his statement before.
"and the mess ups shall start tomorrow." minhyuk said, smirking.
~ the next day ~
"y/n, the news said that it was going to rain today. why wear that?" kihyun asked y/n, while they walked onto the campus. she was wearing a regular oversized t-shirt and jean shorts.
"the news always says something, and it's not true," she argued.
"tell him y/n!" changkyun and minhyuk cheered, massaging her shoulders.
"whatever. do not cry when your pretty outfit gets ruined." kihyun laughed, shaking his head and walking in front of her while talking to shownu. she stuck her tongue out and put her thumb and index finger on her forehead, shaped like an L.

"legendary." jooheon whispered, fist-bumping her. the bell rang, signaling all of the students to head over to their first class.
"bye, guys!" jooheon waved, as all of them separated in their ways. while walking to the freshman building, a strong wind hit, making her a little cold. maybe kihyun was right; i should've worn something else. she thought to herself.
she saw hoseok waiting in front of the freshman building. she assumed that he was waiting for her, so she quickly walked towards him when the crowd started to disappear.
"hey." she said, standing right in front of him. he looked up from his phone and looked at her. he smiled and put his phone in his pocket. he then hugged her but was surprised to feel how cold she felt.
"y/n, you feel so cold. why did you wear this?" he asked, sounding a bit worried. he took off the hoodie he was wearing and gave it to her. "wear this, you will catch a cold."
she looked at the hoodie, then back at him.
"this on me? it will look like a whole dress!" she said while giggling.
"your health is way more important. please, wear it." he insisted. she took her bag off and put on the large hoodie. she saw how much longer the sleeves were than her arms, and then looked at him again.
"you look adorable." he said, pulling her into another embrace. "i'll see you later."
hoseok let go of the hug and ran off to the senior building. she also ran into the freshman building before she was late for her first class.
"so, they're dating now," shownu told himself. he just sighed as he watched y/n go inside the nearby building from the outside of his classroom.
