An hour later, I had arrived at some kind of field close to a run-down manufactory where the others had already been waiting for me and I hurriedly got out of the car and walked towards them.

Shownu started without hesitation. He nodded at the orders and walked off with his sniper rifle in hand and his mask pulled down.

He looked at me dead in the eye as he continued.

His words hit me like a punch to the stomach, but I knew he was right. I weren't in the right mindset since my family was in danger, so I had to just follow the orders I were given.

I stood in front of the entrance door, Wonho didn't hesitate for even a second and kicked it in, which changed the restless air around each and every one of us to a more playful one. It was go-time.

Jooheon smiled and the rest of us couldn't help but chuckle at his cheesy entrance.

It was quiet, maybe too quiet as I carefully walked through the manufactory. This was the calm before the storm I lived for and I enjoyed every second of it.

Their gang stepped out of hiding. This wasn't the first time we came face to face with XXII, but if Shownu was going to keep his promise, it was going to be the last.

Changkyun strode to the front, never losing sight of his target.

They just smiled at each other and you could cut the air between them as you stared down one of them.

He grinned and the fire in my eyes glistened once more. In order to keep my cool, all I could do was to repeat don't lose sight of what's important, I idiot in my head.

Jooheon and Changkyun started off the riot. Having a fight with the guys, then my eyes landed on the other guy who's pointing his gun to Changkyun. I grabbed the gun from my side me shoot his hand making him dropped the gun.

I quickly ran towards the racks that were fortunately placed directly next to me and went into hiding as more and more screams and shots were fired. Quietly, I crawled towards the room I had spotted earlier and another guy was guarding it.

This was the biggest obstacle on my list since he was a very skilled fighter and his reactions were much faster than mine, which left a one on one out of the question.

I kicked a box from the rack, which got him to look over to the side and at the same time I hit him towards his head with my gun, causing him to dodge without hesitation and giving me the opening to punched him in his lower abdomen. He dropped down in an instant and I sprinted for the door, taking a big step over his body before kicking it down.

With Jihoon in my arms, I cried in defeat. It had only been a little over two hours since we were taken, but all I wanted was for my family to be reunited and safe once more.

Then a girl stepped in the room with the use of the other door. She stood there with a smile on her face.

she approached me she was about to hit me but when she heard gunshots she went out of the room leaving us behind.

Before I knew it, loud gunshots echoed through the building and hope filled my entire presence at the realisation of being rescued by my friends. It was like a prayer had been answered as I jumped up in excitement.

I laughed and the smile I received in return was brighter than the sun, causing me to kiss his small head before covering his sensitive ears.

A few minutes later, the door flung wide open and in came my knight in shining armour and grey hair.

I shouted as I carefully stood up and walked towards him Jihoon walking behind me.

The aura around him radiated pure bliss at the sight of me and he couldn't help but take the two of us into a deep embrace. While I were lost in his arms and nuzzled into the crook of his neck, I noticed Hayoung pointing his gun at Kihyun making my eyes widen in shock.

I shouted. Two or three gunshots echoed through the room. Tears have rolled down my cheeks.
