"Victoria--"
"No." I shake my head. "I will go crazy if I spend another day here. It's been weeks."
Christian gives me a deadpan look, "It's been only two days, Victoria."
I cross my arms over my chest and huff, "It feels like weeks, anyway."
"Victoria just a few more days," Christian says. "You remember what happened yesterday."
"And we got the situation under control with a bath and after yesterday's Revelations, I want to go home," I argue.
"Just a few more days, Victoria," He repeats.
"A few more days you say?" I bat my eyelashes and he nods saying yes. "Well, then I'm not talking to you. Get the hell out of my room and I'll ask your dad."
"What?" He looks taken back.
"Yeah," I roll my eyes at him and pick up my mobile phone and dial Lorenzo's number ignoring Christian's protests.
"Hello? Victoria, are you okay?" Lorenzo's says
"Hi, Lorenzo. Yes, I'm fine." Yes, we are on a first-name basis. "Are you somewhere close to the hospital?" I ask while swatting Christian's hands away.
"Yes, Cara, did you need anything?"
I give Christian a taunting smile. "Yes, I want you to come here as soon as possible."
"Is something wrong?" He sounds alert.
"No and yes," I reply. "I'll tell you when you come here."
"I'm on my way."
"Thank you, Lorenzo." I beam. "See you soon."
"Ciao, Cara." He hangs up.
"Since when did you and my dad became friends?" Christian narrows his eyes at me.
"Since yesterday," I tell him. "When I and your mom forced you to go home and rest. Your dad I bonded."
"I know how to charm a man," I add winking at him.
He tries hard but a chuckle escapes him, "That you do, love."
"Agreed." I give him a glare, "Now leave."
Christian sighs, "Don't do this Victoria."
"You don't do this Christian," I say. "I just want to get out of here. I'm feeling so suffocated."

"But--" I cut him off by sticking my fingers in my ears and singing.
This goes on and on. I quiet down but when he starts talking again I do the same thing.
Lorenzo walks in after a while eyeing me and Christian.
"Hi, Lorenzo." I wave at him shoving Christian away from the chair. "Have a seat."
He laughs when Christian stumbles and takes a seat. "Any special reason you called me?"
"Yes." I nod. "Your son has gone crazy."
He smiles, "And what did my son do?"
"You know what he told the doctors?" I ask him and then answer. "He told them not to discharge me when a couple hours ago that Doctor Flaviani or whatever his name is said I'm free to go home."
"So I called you here so you can order that doctor to let me go because right now he is under Christian's control." I continue. "Then I thought, who can overrule Christian? Obviously it's you. So I called you to tell that doctor to discharge me and sign the papers and take me home."
Lorenzo blinks at me, "You sure have started talking a lot."
"It's probably a side effect." Christian remarks. "She way too chatty. She's already eaten up the half of my brain with her chatting."
"Nobody asked for your opinion." I glare at him, yet again then turn my eyes back to Lorenzo. "Please take me home or I'm really going to die this time due to this... Suffocation."
"Victoria," Christian warns me.
"Okay I get it, Christian, you care for me but right now it's not what you are doing." I counter weakly. "Lorenzo please take me home."
Lorenzo wipes my tear away that I didn't know escaped.
"I'll send a nurse in to help you change while I work on your discharge." Lorenzo stands up.
"Dad, don't--"
"Not now son. I think it's time to take her back." Lorenzo leaves the room.
Christian gives me an icy look and starts to storm away.
"Oh so now you are mad at me?"

He ignores me and storms out anyway. I try to sit up but the sudden movement knocks the breath out of me. Coughs rack my body putting pressure on my lungs.
The nurse comes in, "Honey are you okay?" She rushes to me but I can't say anything over my coughs.
"Here drink this water." She gives me once my coughing fit subsides. I gulp it down gratefully. "You okay now?"
I nod. "Just moved a little too fast."
"You have to be careful, sweetie." She helps me sit with my legs dangling down the bed.
She retrieves my bag from the cupboard and takes out my clothes, which consists of a pair of cotton shorts and Christian's black T-shirt.
She takes off my gown and I immediately dart my eyes away from my disgustingly marked body.
She helps me put on the clothes and sandals. "You want me to brush your hair?"
"Yes, please."
She brushes carefully through my hair not touching my injuries that is a hairline fracture. The shorts show scrapes and bruises but they are not that bad.
"Your hair's beautiful." She compliments me breaking me away from my thoughts.
"Thank you."
"You're ready." She tells me. "I'll bring you a wheelchair."
"No!" I stop her. "No wheelchair."
"But that's the hospital policy." She argues.
"Well, I said no."
I don't want to look even more broken.
Lorenzo comes into the room with the doctor in tow.
"Ready, Cara?" He asks.
"Yup." I look at the door. "Where's Christian?"
"He's outside, waiting."
I frown, "Is he mad at me?"
"No, he's just worried." Lorenzo gives me his hand. "Come on."
I place my hand in his and he helps me off the bed. I wince when my feet touch the floor. My legs are too sore.
"You should use the wheelchair, Ms. Forbes." The doctor comments but I just glare at him.
"I'll stick with walking, thank you very much," I say sarcastically.
Lorenzo laughs and helps me walk. I take small steps. I haven't walked since I got out of my 'temporary coma' and it was two days ago. I didn't have to because Christian carried me everywhere.
We finally exit the room and I see Christian standing there, sulking. I want to roll my eyes but I refrain.
"Anything we should know before we take her away?" Lorenzo asks the doctor.
"Yes, just make sure she takes no stress. It can very unhealthy for her." The doctor advises. "Bed rest for at least seven days, no exertion, nothing that puts pressure on her lungs and uh..." Flavian or Flaviani clears his throat awkwardly and looks at Christian, "also try to refrain um.. any type of sexual activity."
Oh, he's talking about yesterday's event.
Christian's cheeks subtly burn and I jump in to save him, "Anything else?"
"No, that's all. Your medicines are already been given Mr. Vasquez," he points towards Lorenzo.
"Okay. Goodbye." The doctor nods at us once and disappears into one of the rooms.
I look at Christian, he's being broody and sulky again. I smile innocently at him when his eyes meet mine and blink fluttering my lashes.
"Stop being broody, Christian."
He ignores me and starts walking forward. I give Lorenzo my look that says your-son-is-impossible. He just shrugs.
An idea pops into my mind and I immediately clutch my ribs saying 'ow' and wincing. As predicted Christian was on my side in an instant.
"Victoria, you okay? What hurts?" He holds me.
I look up at him grinning mischievously and then laugh. He tries to keep an angry face but fails.
"What am I gonna do with you?" He mutters.
"Pick me up so I don't have to walk?" I offer, scrunching up my nose.
He rolls his eyes but bends down and carries me bridal style.
I lean my head in his shoulder with one hand gripping his shirt in my hand. Lorenzo walks ahead of us while Christian follows.
I place a sweet kiss, full of love in his neck and whisper, "I'm sorry."
Christian sighs in response and kisses my head, "I'm sorry too."
And just like that, we are, alright.

Forseeing the end of his life, and realizing how pointless his pursuit of power had been, Archimedes destroyed himself, taking the heroes down with him. Still, Archimedes felt despair that he had lived a worthless life as something as pitiful and futile as a dungeon. Sensing his regret and potential, the voice of the world presented Archimedes with the chance to start anew and live a more meaningful life. Thrilled and hopeful for the first time in eons, Archimedes accepted the offer, only to be reborn again as a dungeon core with not a single room or monster to his name.
