of a sleeping Christian looking at the door which opens and Rico enters.
He gives me his toothy smile and walks up to me. "How are you little lady?"
"I've seen better days." I smile back.
He leans down and pecks my forehead. "It's good to see you up."
"What time is it?"
"It's nine in the morning and I was sent to wake Christian up. The doctor has been taking rounds but wasn't able to check up properly when you were wrapped up in Christian's arms."
I blush and look away, "I sleep better when he's with me, okay?"
"It's okay, I understand."
I wink at him. "Thought so."
He brushes my hair back. "You have no idea how good it is to see you." He looks at Christian. "Now to wake him up."
The mischief in his eyes makes me stop him. "Erase whatever ways you are thinking of waking him away. I'll wake him up myself and you are free to watch."
"Well if you want." I add suggestively.
He makes a disgusted face. I roll my eyes at him and look up at Christian.
I caress his cheek. "Christian, wake up, honey." I peck his lips making him stir. Even asleep his body responds to mine.
"Okay. I'm not watching this shit." Rico turns and leaves the room.
I laugh inwardly then shower Christian's face with endless kisses. "Wake up, Christian."
He opens one if his eyes and a grin spreads on his face when he looks at me. "It wasn't a dream after all."
"Nope it was definitely not a dream." I say against his lips kissing him again. He responds with a delicious moan.
He carefully climbs on top of me deepening our kiss. I open up willingly for him when his tongue asks for entrance. He explores my mouth.
"I have waited so long for this, I couldn't take it when your lips didn't respond to me." He mutters against my lips and claims them again.
He takes my lower lip between his teeth sucking on it. My hands tug his hair harder. He breaks away and look in his beautiful chocolate orbs that are swimming with emotion.

"Victoria I lo--" The door opens interrupting Christian and a gasp follows it.
I guess the doctor is here.
Christian takes a deep breath and gets off of me quickly.
I can't concentrate on anything besides the big bomb that Christian almost drops at me.
We've known each other for only three months. Can this be love?
He almost told me he loves me but these assholes had to interrupt our special moment.
I glare at the same doctor who was here last night. He is flushed and avoiding eye contact.
"Do you need something?" I snap at him.
"My apologies Ms. Forbes. I - I came here to check in you properly before you have your breakfast." He points to the nurse who is holding a tray with food.
I give him a the most fake smile I've ever given anyone. "Knock next time, yeah?"
"Of course, Ms. Forbes." He blushes even more and I simply roll my eyes.
After a few minutes when he is done checking me the nurse places the food in front of me. The smell and the sight of boiled eggs in front of me makes my stomach queasy. I push it away fighting the urge to gag.
"Take it away please." I turn my face the other way. The sick feeling doesn't go away, "I think I'm gonna throw up."
Christian curses and picks up a small bucket and places it near my face where I throw up. I don't know what I throw up since I haven't eaten anything.
Christian rubs my back and angrily orders to take the food away. My ribs hurt due to the awkward angle my body is at.
"Fucking Christ." He curses. "She is throwing up blood."
The burning in my throat makes me cry. I claw at the wires attached to my chest as if it's going to help me breathe. When I done I lean back on the bed.
"Christian," I call out to him. "It hurts."
My chest burns.
"I'm here baby." He consoles at me me then tells out, "What the fuck is happening to her?"
"I think it's one of the symptoms of the drug..." I tune him out and scream because of the burning in my chest.

"Make it stop," I beg sobbing. "Make it stop Christian."
"She's fucking burning." Christian pulls me in his lap. "Do something!"
"The bath tub is full, we have to take her there. The cold water will make it better." The doctor says.
Christian stands up with me his arms and rushes to the bathroom while I cling onto him.
"You get the fuck out of here!" He yells, probably at the doctor. "You too!" I see the nurse scurry away.
"You are going to be just fine my love," he says placing me on the toilet lid. "Just fine."
He balances me with one arm while he uses his other to skip his T-shirt off.
"I'm going to take off your gown, okay?" He asks but I just nod.
When I take a proper look on the bath tub I start shaking. "I can't -- I can't go inside."
Not where they tried to kill me.
"I'm going to there with you, okay?" Christian smiles at me. "Did I let anything happen to you the last time?"
I shake my head no.
"You trust me right?" He asks and I respond with a yes. "Good."
He carefully peals the gown off of me and lifts me up again climbing in the bath tub. The second the cold water comes in contact with my body everything numbs, the burning is all gone. I relax back in Christian's chest as his arms tighten around my waist.
He's with me. I'm safe.
This is not how I imagined our first bath or shower together. I'm in this bathtub with my panties on sitting between Christian's legs who is wearing his jeans. The ripped ones I got him.
"You finally wore these jeans?" I say in my cracked voice.
He nuzzles my neck. "I missed you."
"I missed you too. Even when I was unconscious." I tell him.
"Really?"
"Uh-huh!" I place my hand over his, "I had a bad dream. Many bad dreams but I couldn't wake up."
He tenses behind me. "What did you see?"
"It was just dark all the time, I heard those kids from the orphanage. I heard my biological parents but it was so dark. I couldn't move. I couldn't talk. I wanted to go to you but I couldn't call for you." I explain. "I was going out of my mind. I thought I was going to die, my heart was calling for you and you came. You took me away."
"Then what happened?"
"Then I could see Matteo. He had tied me somewhere in the jungle. I tried to look for you but I couldn't find you. He said he killed you, then he hit me. He kicked me, he punched me." A tear escapes my eye. "I couldn't do anything. I could hear your voice inside my head. You told me to keep fighting. And I did. Everything else in that nightmare was so calm and peaceful. I could feel you with me."
Christian did not respond but I could feel his body shaking. Was he angry?
I tried to turn around making sure I don't hurt my ribs but the sight of Christian broke my heart. It hurt more than my damn ribs.
His body was shaking with sobs. He was sobbing so hard I couldn't even hear him. "Christian?"
"I'm so sorry Victoria. So sorry." He cries.
I wipe his tears away. "Hush, it's okay. It was just a bad dream."
He looks at me with his blood shot eyes, "That's the thing Victoria. It was not a nightmare. Matteo took you away from me."
"What?"
"He crashed our car and took you away. He drugged you and this," he points to us in a bath tub. "It's all the side effects of that damn drug."
I put a hand on my mouth to muffle my cries.
"No it was a nightmare, I know it." I cry in my hands.
He hugs me tighter, "I'm sorry, precious."
We lie there in the bath tub crying in each other's arms but our hearts held us together. We won't give up.
We will fight till the end.
I believe in our love.

A Virtual Invasion
An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.

Sod's Law (Dropped)
This fiction has been dropped, you're more than welcome to read it anyway (there is sort of an ending). But you have been warned... Sod's law is a more extreme version of Murphy's law. While Murphy's law says that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong (eventually), Sod's law requires that it always goes wrong with the worst possible outcome. For example, concepts such as "bad fortune will be tailored to the individual" and "good fortune will occur in spite of the individual's actions" are sometimes given as examples of Sod's law in action. This would broaden Sod's law to a general sense of being "mocked by fate". In these aspects it is similar to some definitions of irony, particularly the irony of fate. - Definitions of Sod's Law on Wikipedia. The protagonist, as many before them, and many who followed, thought they were just entering a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing-Game). Unbeknownst to them however, was a short paragraph in the Terms & Conditions, that, upon agreement, would actually transport them to a fantasy world, loosely based on the game they thought they were entering. - Something anyone could be forgiven for, no-one reads them after all. In this new world, they discover that people are born with “Traits”, a System recognised, ability, skill, or talent, that they are born with. Sod's Law was not a trait they, or anyone else for that matter, would want. Pure madness follows. Yup, this is about a character transferred to a fantasy game-world with the worst luck imaginable. This is my first fiction so I apologise for any grammar and spelling mistakes that may be made. Hopefully it is readable, and if so please tell me! But if it's not, also tell me, but in a constructive way if at all possible? Due to the nature of the “Trait” the story will be dark in places, with plenty of gore and profanity, hence the tags. There may also be scenes of a sexual nature, but nothing full on – sorry guys but you'll have to go elsewhere for that.

"It's just my family I guess." Tommy mumbled upset."What's wrong with your family?" Mr Awe asked, feeling confused. The older asked, spinning around in his chair to show Tommy that he had his full attention and would be listened to. "It's just- like- I show them how well I'm doing in school and they don't even care! Like aren't parents meant to be proud of their children or something? That's what I hear but my dad is never proud of me! It's always 'Wilbur this' or 'Techno that' but it's never about Tommy! Am I not good enough for them or something?" He had waited his whole life to get this off his chest and he had finally found a willing listener. OR, Tommy Craft is a neglected eleven year old who just wants somebody to listen to him.
