"Let it be, can't you see? These bones are tired of moving . Stuck in this lonely city, poor me. Why can't I see?
She's always there for me. She puts her arms around me. Smiling on the surface butsl it's dark inside. Can you please promise that it'll be alright.
What's wrong with me?
She says let it be."

, the florescent lights partially blinding me. I blink again and again until I have my vision restored.
I'm in a hospital room.
I see Christian sleeping in the chair with his head on the bed. I move my hand from his loose grasp and stoke his cheek with my fingers then move to his hair.
He suddenly jerks up looking disoriented but cute making me giggle. He studies me carefully making me giggle once again.
"What happened?" I reach out to his but wince resting back.
Everything starts to hurt suddenly.
"Victoria, baby, are you alright?" He is on his feet towering over me.
I whimper, "Everything hurts." My throat burns, "Can I have some water please?"
He presses a button on the wall, "Yes of course. Just don't move." He caresses my face and plants a kiss on my forehead and gives me a glass of water after instructing me to take small sips. My throat feels a lot better. With the help of Christian I lean back and look around trying to remember.
Why am I here? What happened to me? "I can't remember anything. Why am I here?" I feel like crying.
He looks worried for a second but then he gives me his big grin. "Don't worry about that. Tell me how you feel." He seems calm physically but I see everything I need to see in his eyes but don't call him out on it.
"Sore and like a bus ran over me then someone threw me off a cliff then dropped that huge fancy piano at me."

He chuckles, "It's good to have you back. You got us all really worried." His expression turns dark.
A disturbing image of a car crash plagues my mind and I clutch my head. I hear the door open but I can't concentrate.
"Sweetheart are you okay?" An unfamiliar voice asks me but I ignore her.
Christian was there. In the crash.
"Christian." I whimper and reach out to him with my eyes closed.
He takes my hand in his big one. "I'm here, what's wrong?"
"I remember a car crash. You-you were there I-" I start crying pulling him closer to me and hugging him.
He holds his weight above me so he doesn't crushes me.
"I'm fine. I'm here in front of you aren't I?" He pulls a bit back that our noses are touching. "Now the nurse is here. Let her check you."
I pout because I don't want to let him go. "No," I state stubbornly.
He closes his eyes to I guess control his anger but I tighten my hold around him.
"Victoria, please?" He opens his eyes and gives me a cute look. "For me."
"Nope." I say and bury my face in his neck inhaling his scent.
He smells delicious.
"I've been through hell and back the last few days, Ria." He says with his face squished in my hair. "So for my mental peace. Please let her check you."
I sigh in his neck, giving up. I can practically feel his grin.
"Good." He straightens up but I get a hold of his hand with no intention of letting it go.
The nurse who I've been ignoring gives me a smile but when she looks at Christian for confirmation to examine me, she flushes batting her eyelashes.
"Get it over with, already." I snap at the nurse.
"Of-of course Ms. Forbes." She shakily checks my blood pressure and some other things on the monitor. "I'll call Doctor. Flavian for you." She glances at Christian once again the leaves the room making me roll my eyes at her antics.

She's so desperate.
"Thank you." He smiles and pecks my cheek.
I roll my eyes, once again. "Yeah, yeah."
"Someone's moody." Christian notices.
"I'm just sleepy." I yawn and Christian laughs. "What?"
"You looked like a cute little kitten yawning." He pokes my nose and I seat his hand away giggling but instantly stopping placing a hand on my ribs.
"It's staring to hurt." My head too.
"They will be here in a second now."
As soon as Christian uttered those words the same nurse with a doctor come in the room.
The doctor smiles at me but I don't return the gesture due to the pain. "Good evening Ms. Forbes. May I ask how you're doing?"
"Not so good." I say through the pain. Christian strokes my hand.
He flashes light in my eyes, "And where does it hurt?"
"My ribs, my head and the rest of the body." Christian grip goes tighter on my hand.
"Anything unusual?" He asks and I shake my head no.
"She doesn't remember anything after the accident." Christian says making me look at him. He is staring at the doctor, hard.
"Oh that's normal after a head injury like this. She'll remember soon."
The doctor checks my reflexes making me touch my nose with one eye close. Making my eyes follow his fingers and some other bull crap that makes no sense.
"Everything seems good here. You should heal in a few days." He says and tells Christian to make sure there is no pressure put on my ribs. "Your nurse will take some of your blood for a test and give you some pain killers."
"But I wanna sleep and go home." I complain to Christian instead if the doctor knowing he will listen to me and use his intimidating personality to convince the doctor.
"I'm afraid Ms. Forbes, that's not possible." The doctor says apologetically.
I glare at him and turn to Christian giving him my best best puppy eye look with a full pout.
Christian sighs in defeat not being able to resist. "I'll see what I can do."
I smile in triumph and give that doctor a smug look. He retreats the room giving us a forced smile.
The nurse takes out a syringe and takes my blood. But she is not being gentle at all.
"Sweetheart can you try not to bust my veins?"
She takes out the syringe gently, "I'm sorry." She gives me a pain killer and scurries out of the room with her tail between her legs .
"Stupid nurse," I mutter angrily.
"Easy there killer." Christian sits on the edge of the bed.
"I'm sleeping now but when I wake up, I want to go back home."
"Yes ma'am." Christian answers with wide eyes.
I scoot on one side of the bed gesturing Christian to get in.
"I can't, you're hurt. You have IVs attached with your arm." Christian refuses.
I sigh. This man is so difficult. "You don't want to mess with me now, Christian."
"But--" I cut him off with my glare. "Okay."
He takes off his shoes and slips in with me. I get comfortable by putting his head on my chest, ignoring the dull throb.
"Good night, baby." I hear Christian whisper kissing my neck.
I just snuggle further into him, smiling, giving into my sleep.
