Someone shakes me. "Wake up."
"5 more minutes, mom," I mumble.
"Victoria, you got to wake up." Someone shakes me again. "Please."
I open my one eye to see a bright light. "Too bright."
"Wake up." This time I know it's not just 'someone', it's Christian.
"I'm up." I open my eyes fully. "Where are we?"
"It's a surprise but first we have to get some lunch." He takes my hand and pulls me out of the car.
Basically he has been standing there the whole time trying to wake me.
"Wait!" I jerk to a stop.
"What happened?" He asks.
"My hair? It doesn't look like Nagasaki right?" I ask.
"What?"
"Nagasaki, where the nuclear bomb exploded?" I raise my eyebrows.
"What about it?" He narrows his eyes.
I curse under my breath.
"My hair doesn't look bad right? I was asleep." I say slowly.
"Oh, your hair looks absolutely fine." He dismisses.
"Promise?"
"I promise, Angel, now let's go." He pulls my hand and we walk in a diner. It was near where we parked our car.
As we entered hand in hand, the aroma of fresh cookies and food hit my nose making my mouth water.
It was a pretty decent place. Small tables everywhere. A cute theme and full of flowers.
We both go towards a table for two. Christian pulls out a chair for me and pushes it in when I sit.
Apparently chivalry is not dead.
"This is such an amazing place," I say looking around.

"I'm glad you liked it." He smiles at me.
Something clicks inside me. "Christian where are we because I have to go to the hospital again today?"
"Don't worry about that. I already told the hospital you won't be coming in today. This weekend is all yours."
"Really?" My eyes are lit with excitement.
"Really." He grins at me.
I hold his hand that was resting on top of the table.
"Thank you so much, Christian. You really didn't have to do this."
"I wanted to. You work too hard."
"Well thank you." I yawn. "And you got me addicted to sleeping," I mumble.
"Your welcome, baby." He winks.
"Hello. I'll be taking your waiter for today." A new voice interrupts us.
I turn to the side to see a waiter. Must be 23 or 24 with a cocky smirk. I internally roll my eyes.
"May I take your orders?"
Christian looks at the menu he was handed. "I'll take a chicken burger, fries and a vanilla shake."
He scribbles it down. "And for the pretty lady?"
I blush and look at the menu, not liking the way he was looking at me. "Um, I'll take fries and chicken nuggets with an Oreo shake. Thank you."
"Anything else beautiful?" He winked.
He fucking winked at me.
"Is there something wrong with your eye? It keeps twitching. You should really go, get it checked." I pass a very very fake smile.
"Oh yes, I'm sorry, I'll get your orders." He runs away from there.
"Dang girl," Christian mumbled.
"Ha. I know." I flip my hair. "He really needs to control his eyes."
"He should have shown respect. We are not together but he didn't know that. He can not flirt with the customers like that." I continue.

"You're right. So tell me how are you?"
"I'm good." I smile.
He sighs. "I mean after last night."
"I am fine, actually. You woke me up before my nightmare could get worse. So thank you." I thank him.
"It's okay. Don't thank me." He brushes it off and we change the topic and talk about different stuff.
Our lunch comes and I devour the delicious meal while Christian was looking me amused.
The bill comes and that same waiter brings it.
We pay the bill and are on our way out when a hand is placed on my shoulder. I turn around to see the same waiter.
"Here you go." He is holding a tissue near my face.
I hesitantly take it.
"Call me sweetheart when you get bored of him." He winks again glancing at Christian.
There was a number on that tissue paper.
Before I and Christian can comprehend the situation, he caresses my cheek and I flinch away from him.
Then he fucking slaps my ass.
The memory if that day comes into mind because of the same look in his eyes.
Before I can't think tears come out my eyes.
This snaps Christian so bad and now has grabbed the waiter by his collar.
Christian's 6.3 frame towers over his 5.9. Christian is looking huge in front of him due to his big bulky muscles.
He harshly whispers. "If you ever try to put a finger my girl. I will break you and kill you in so many ways, I swear god won't even recognize you."
With that he pushes him back with so much force that he drops in the ground. All the eyes in the diner are all over us.
But I only focused on his words and that 'my girl' has gotten my heart racing. His voice was so deadly. If couldn't tell that he is the same Christian that has been living with me.
His eyes look so cold. His posture is so rigid. His body is tense and if looks could kill Mr. Waiter would've died a million times now.
The vein on his forehead, throbbing. His fist clenched. His jaw clenched.
He glances at me and his eyes soften a bit but then again turn cold hard and punches the waiter on the ground.
He again punches him.
"Christian," I yell out. He comes out of his trance, he is breathing heavily.
I immediately take his hand and rub my hand over his. He roughly grabs my hand and drags me outside the diner and into an alley two shops down the diner.
He pushes me against the wall and puts one hand on my waist while the other rests above my head on the wall.
His breathing still heavy. I hesitantly put one hand on his chest and rub it gently by making my hand go up and down.
His breathing partially settles down. He wipes the tears that were on my face gently.
"Are you okay?" He asks in his husky voice making me nod.
"That son of a bitch has to think twice before he touches what's mine."
Before I could take in his words, his lips are pressed on mine.

Emperor NPC
The Demon Emperor had taken one billion lives and conquered the realms of elves, dwarfs, and giants. When the final realm of man fell to his armies, the stage was set for their world’s finale. A spire of brilliant light pierced the sky, and as the land was torn asunder, the demon emperor met his death. It was not by the hands of a hero, or goddess’ champion, but by a system developer—a creator of the VRMMO Ark World—masquerading as a god! “It’s ironic that it would be you,” said a voice in the black void of the quantum system. “Strange, that you’ve given me this quest, and stranger that I can’t do it without you.” By the power of the thirteenth system developer, the “goddess” Amarytha, the demon emperor was reborn in a new video game where his character never came to be. In the Ark World Sandbox, humans rule as gods over nations of NPCs. Through mastery of their administration commands, they hold absolute control. Only the demon emperor, liberated by the Player System, can challenge them. A crusade begins with one step. Freedom from humanity begins here! ---------------- I'm going to be upfront here. This is not an anti-hero story. So, if you've come for anti-hero you might not enjoy it. The cover art I commissioned from my friend @cyborgraptor. You can find her on twitter, or tumblr. Absolutely awesome person, and way too humble. She's also a great dps on WoW, and her and I always fought for top of the meters. I update every day, or nearly every day. I'll be updating this quickly as I bring it to parity with my other sites. Afterwards, expect 6 or 7 chapters a week. This is my only job and I approach it professionally.
