This week passed by so fast. Any time that I could visit Shoto, I would. I was basically there with Shoto more than the medical staff. The whole week I talked with him, helped him walk around the hospital so he can get used to walking around, and just keeping him company. The class visited a few times as well. There also may have been a few small make-out sessions in between all of that time, but I'm not going to kiss and tell...
Today I knocked on the door to Shoto's room and I opened it to find Shoto standing up, changing his short. In the process I saw his abs, all of them this time...I felt my cheeks go slightly pink.
"Oh, Izuku! Hi!" Shoto was startled when I walked in.
"Hi. Was I introducing? I can just go into the hall-"
"No! I, uh, mean no you weren't intruding. Come in!" Shoto quickly put on his shirt and walked back to his bed, sitting down in front of me.
I smile. "I see you're really doing good on walking by yourself."
"Yeah, I made it all the way to the nurses' station and back today," Shoto said kinda proudly.
"That's amazing, Shoto!" I say, my smile growing bigger. "Oh, here you go. My mom and I made some treats for you yesterday." I hand Shoto the box of treats.
"Thank you," Shoto took the box and took a bite of out of a cookie. "Wow, this is actually pretty good!"
"What do you mean by that?...Were you expecting it to be bad?" I ask with a questioning facial expression
"N-No! It just tastes better than I thought I would, and what I thought it was going to taste good!"
I start laughing. "I'm joking!"
Shoto looks at me with wide eyes. "I thought you were seriously going to kill me, don't do that!"
"You can't take a joke for the life of you, Shoto!" I was still laughing in my chair and Shoto was sitting on his bed with his arms crossed, not looking too happy.

I try to calm myself down and I look at my boyfriend. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean you to think I was going to hurt you because you thought the cookies weren't good. I'm still learning how to cook."
"I accept your apology," Shoto told me. Then, he looked at me square in the eye and smirked. I was getting scared because a smirking Shoto wasn't a good sign. The next thing I knew Shoto got me off my chair and was now leaning on top of me. He soon started to tickle me.
"Payback!" He yelled while tickling me all over.
I was laughing and was trying to get out of Shoto's grip but he was too strong. "S-Shoto, stop! P-Please!"
"Nope! I think I'll keep tickling you," Shoto smiled.
"P-Please, Shoto! H-Have m-mercy on m-me!" I was still laughing my head off and soon I was starting to have trouble breathing due to all the laughter. Shoto saw me coughing and soon stopped, I took some deep breaths and calmed down.
I looked at the male with red and white hair, who was still above me. "You're a big meanie, you know that?"
"You started it." Smirked Shoto.
I smiled. Wrapping my arms around my boyfriend's neck, I kissed him. Shoto bound his strong arms around my small waist and kissed me back. Shoto then picked me up and my legs were now around his waist. We broke apart after kissing for around five minutes.
Shoto then kissed me on my nose and I gave him another quick kiss on the lips. "You know I love you so much, right?" Shoto asked me.
"I may have heard you say that to me a couple of times..." I looked at my boyfriend with a smile on my lips. "I love you more, though," I told him while I was still in his arms.
"Nope, that's not possible. I love you more," replied Shoto.
"I love more than Katsudon."
"I love you more than Soba."
"I love you more than hero work."
"I love you more than All Might."

Even though he already used that line, it still got to me. "Ugh, fine. You win!" I say.
Shoto smiled and set me down on his hospital bed. He sat down next to me. "I'll get you next time, don't get all arrogant," I threatened him.
"Sure, you will Babe," said Shoto and I playfully rolled my eyes. I and my boyfriend continued to talk while sitting on his bed.
While we were in the middle of a conversation, the door to Shoto's room was knocked on. I thought it was one of the nurses or Doctor Chickao, and Shoto must have thought the same thing as me. "Come in!" Shoto yelled and the person who opened the door wasn't working with the hospital; It was Endeavor.
Shoto's and my own eyes went wide. "F-Father?!" Shoto asked, completely shocked.
Endeavor stood in the doorway, avoiding Shoto's face. "Hello, Shoto..."
My boyfriend's expression went icy. "What do you want, Father? Did you come here to take me away from my family and friends again? My girlfriend?" Inquired Shoto bitterly.
"No, Shoto. I came here to visit you, and to have a conversation as well," said Shoto's father. Endeavor then looked at me, "you're Shoto's girlfriend, correct?"
I nodded quickly, stammering a little. "Y-Yes, sir."
"What is your name?" Endeavor asked me.
"Izuku M-Midoriya."
"Well, Miss. Midoriya, stand up please."
"Father-" Shoto started.
"I just want to talk to her, son," Endeavor looked at his son with an unusual calm expression. Shoto shut up but kept an eye on me. I stood up and walked closer to the number two hero, my body kinda shaking from fear.
"Miss. Midoriya," Endeavor began, "you love my son, correct?"
"Yes, sir. V-Very much," I answered his question. I was confused about where this was going.
"Okay. Is it true that you never left his side the whole time he was in the hospital and Shoto took the knife for you?"
How did he know that? I asked myself. But, I still gave my answer. "Yes, it's correct, sir."
Endeavor pondered that information for a while, and then looked at Shoto. "She seems like a great girl, Shoto. And you must love each other very much. I'm allowing you and her to date."
Shoto and I were completely speechless. "What did you say?" Shoto questioned Endeavor.
"You heard me correctly, you two. You are allowed to date each other. I'm also taking Shoto out of Ketsubutsu Academy, I know he wants to come back to U.A."
My eyes were wide, and I looked back at Shoto, who had the same expression as me. This has to be the happiest news of my life, right next to hearing that Shoto was awake. "Father," Shoto began, "what changed your mind about all of this? This seems pretty out of the ordinary for you."
Shoto's father was silent for a little, then he replied. "Your siblings have been arguing with me for the whole week, telling me how you and Miss. Midoriya deserves to be together, and not apart. Also, I have been talking with someone else who really helped me come to the decision."
I looked at Endeavor. "Thank you so much, Endeavor-San."
"You're welcome, Miss. Midoriya. Make sure to treat my son, good. Also, make sure he isn't slipping on his grades," Endeavor looked at Shoto and my boyfriend turned the other way. Endeavor wished us goodbye and left. Before he left the room I saw he was holding a bouquet of white roses and a card that read on the envelope.
When Endeavor was gone, I looked at Shoto and sat down next to him. "Hey, Shoto. Who's Rei?"
Shoto looked at me with a surprised expression. "Rei is my mother's name...Why did you ask that?"
"Because your father was holding flowers and a card that had the name Rei written on it."
"My mother is in this hospital, I visited her a few times while I was in here. Could it be...That he is going to visit her?..." Shoto gave me a somewhat questioning and hopeful face.
"Looks like your father is really trying to change," I smile.
Shoto smiled back and I cuddle up next to him. Shoto wrapped his arms around me and we both smile as we snuggle on Shoto's bed, excited for when he gets back to U.A High School with me.

Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.
