《✶ c h a n g e d ✶ { Female Deku AU }》Forty Three

One week passed by...
Then two weeks...
The two weeks turned into three weeks...
Three weeks suddenly transformed into one month...
Shoto still hasn't woken up after all that time.
I was worried sick about him and his condition. This was odd, and Doctor Chickao said it as well. Shoto was supposed to wake up around the third week due to the tests Doctor Chickao ran, but it's been a whole month and nothing happened yet.
I would talk to Fuyumi-Chan and Natsuo-Kun and asked about Shoto, and visited him in the hospital any time I could. When I would see Shoto in his hospital room, I either talked to him about my day or what was happening in the News and at U.A.
Right now I was sitting next to Shoto's bed reading the newspaper to him. Even though he wasn't awake, I knew he was listening. I didn't know how to explain it, but his facial expression would slightly change when I started talking. Sort of like he was very interested in what I had to say. I held his hand into mine as I read.
Soon the door to Shoto's room opened and I saw Shoto's nurse poke her head in. Two weeks ago I learned her name was Akeno Ando, but she told me just to call her Akeno. She also learned my name as well since we have seen each other a lot due to myself seeing Shoto.
"Hey, Izuku. Visiting time is now over, Hon," Akeno informed me, now stepping into the room.
Sadly, I removed my hand from his and I swore Shoto's expression saddened somewhat. I packed up my things. "Thanks for telling me, Akeno."
Akeno looked at me. "I have to, Izuku. You can't keep track of time when you're visiting Mr. Todoroki," she said softly chuckling.
I slightly laughed to her comment as well, but I didn't really have the voice to laugh any louder. Even though Akeno was trying to make me feel better every time I came here, I just couldn't feel good about anything when I'm at this hospital.

"Hey, are you okay, Baby?" Asked Akeno, a concerned expression on her fair face.
Sniffling, I looked at the somewhat older woman with tears in my eyes. "I just want Shoto to wake up, but to me, he doesn't seem to be getting any better. I just miss him so much!" The tears really start falling down my face. Akeno then wraps her arms around me, giving me a huge hug.
"Oh, honey...I know it's a lot right now, but things will be okay. Doctor Chickao and I have been checking his vitals and monitoring his health, and he is doing somewhat better. His condition is just going slower than we thought, but he's doing fine. Don't beat yourself up, because he will wake up soon. We all know he will," Akeno told me, now rubbing circles in my back.
That made me feel a whole lot hopeful about Shoto, and I no longer felt the slight despair I was feeling before. "Is he really doing better?" I asked.
Akeno nodded. "He is, Izuku. Your boyfriend is just taking baby steps with the whole waking up process. The doctor and I think it may be all the blood he lost that day, that can really mess up someone's health."
I wiped my tears. "I really needed that sentence to be said to me. All this time I thought he was slowly dying and I was just sitting there, watching him..."
"I know the feeling, sweetheart. Every day I seem to feel like I'm going to lose my patients, and it's really scary. I have hope for Mr. Todoroki, he seems like he's a real fighter," said Akeno with a small smile.
"He is. Shoto is one of the toughest people I know," I replied.
We both break apart from the hug, but Akeno has her arm around me as we both walk away from Shoto's room and to the exiting door of the hospital. Before I leave, Akeno says this to me. "Things will get better, just keep you're head up."

"Thanks, Akeno. I will," I smiled brightly.
"That's it, girl," Akeno gives me one more hug goodbye and I leave the Hospital, heading back to the U.A dorms.
I got back to the dorms to find everybody in the common room. They all noticed me walk in and Kaminari waved to me. "Hey, Midoriya! How is Todoroki?" The blonde questioned.
Walking into the large room and sitting down on a nearby chair, I answered Kaminari's question. "His nurse said he's healing well, and that he may wake up. It's just going to take a little longer than expected..."
Everyone looked at each other, then me. "Oh, my god that's amazing news!" Uraraka exclaimed with a hopeful gleam in her big, brown eyes.
"Yeah, that's great!" Replied Kirishima with a bright smile on his face, showing his bright shark-like teeth.
My class kept commenting about Shoto, and I stayed silent. It was good news, sure, but even Akeno said she wasn't sure when he would wake up. All she said he was healing slowly, and that he will wake up soon. But did she really mean that? I asked myself. What if she was only saying that so I wouldn't worry about him as much anymore. What if-
"Midoriya?" Asui broke my long, long train of thought and looked at me. "Are you okay? You're pretty quiet about all of this..." The greenette pointed out.
I nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. Just got lost up in my thoughts again..."
"Hey, Midoriya. We know this is really tough on you, and all of us too. We all were about to watch a movie marathon, would you like to join? Maybe clear your head a little?" Jiro asked, the TV remote in her hand.
Considering the offer, I accepted. "Yeah, I'll join you guys." I couldn't say no to watching a Movie Marathon, and plus, this was probably better than sitting alone in my dorm room re-reading Shoto's letter to me every day. Which, was all I was doing this month while waiting for Shoto to wake up.
We all searched the movie cabinet in the Common Room and picked around seven movies to watch. I was glad that there was no Horror involved because I wasn't in the mood to have nightmares all night long.
The whole class of 1-A got their blankets, pillows, and snacks ready and we started the Marathon. As we watched each movie, all of us got sleepier by the hour. After the seven movies were up, some decided to pick out a few more and by the time we finished the very last movie, it was twenty minutes to three a.m. Thank the lord it was a Friday.
"Jesus Christ, we stayed up late!" Sero commented as he looked at the time on his phone.
"We all need to go to bed or we'll be in major trouble with Aizawa," said Ashido. She shivered in fear when she said his name. Probably remembering the horrid punishment he gave us.
All of us grabbed our stuff and made it to our dorms. I was so exhausted I almost fell asleep on the floor of my room, and I would have stayed there too. But, I struggled for a few more seconds and tucked myself in my bed, going to sleep quickly.

The Oresteia (Modernized)
All three of the great Greek Tragedians have written plays about the bloody chain of murder and revenge within the royal family of Argos. Yet theirs is in fact not a story of tragedy, but rather one of redemption. As they move from darkness to light, from rage to self-governance, from primitive ritual to civilized institution, their spirit of struggle and regeneration becomes an everlasting song of celebration to be heard throughout the ages. Forming a discourse set against the emergence of Athenian democracy out of a period of chaos and destruction, the Orestian plays are compelling stories of the tensions between our obligations to our families and the laws that bind us together as a society. In the beginning, we witness how a king’s decision to sacrifice his daughter and turn the tide of war inflicts lasting damage on his family, culminating in a terrible act of retribution. In the aftermath of regicide, we behold how a son must set out to avenge his father’s death by committing a most egregious sin. In the end, the sinner is tormented by supernatural powers that can never be appeased, but ultimately finds redemption and ends the curse on his house once and for all. Woven through all of this is the story of a friendship so close that it elevates itself to brotherhood - Where the blood of the covenant is shown to be indeed thicker than the water of the womb. In this very brief twelve-chapter modern rendition of the Orestian plays, I have chosen to place my focus mainly on the lives of the characters Orestes and his best friend Pylades. The chapters, each around 2000-2500 words, are split up evenly between them in first-person narrative. I hope that you will come to enjoy reading this heartwarming story, but more importantly, that you see how the conflicts portrayed in the story, whether human or institutional, are still much very relevant to our societies today. Note on Sources: The details of this story is very loosely based on The Oresteia by Aeschylus. And I mean very loosely. Other sources that I referenced for detail and inspiration are Mythology by Edith Hamilton, Electra by Sophocles, and Iphigenia in Tauris by Euripides. You may also find that I have quoted some of these works, and others (such as Shelley's Ozymondaeus), without citations (average of 1-2 such quotes per chapter). I did this because I do not have the ability to describe certain scenes nearly as well as some of those writers. If you read a particularly beautiful piece of prose here, chances are it's probably stolen lol. Also, I wrote this during the summer between my high school senior year and my college freshmen year. It was the summer of 2020, and being quarantined apparently gets my creative side out lol.

Futanari incoming, do not worry not gonna make it sex novel or erotic, maybe some scenes, but that will come later in the novel or maybe not at all, but to be sure I checked the Sexual Content too.
