The next day all the class 1-A students were in the dining hall eating breakfast. The large room was silent, but some conversations were heard throughout the space.
Uraraka, Asui, Iida, and I were all sitting by each other eating our food. We would have the occasional conversation, but in all, we were pretty silent. All of us seemed to can't get over the fact about what happened to Shoto. Mostly me...
Suddenly, my phone started to go off inside my back pant's pocket. "I'll be back," I said to my friends and left the room, my ringing phone in my hand.
I looked at my phone and when I did, my eyes widened. The contact read Fuyumi-Chan. I hurried to hit the answer button and quickly held the phone to my ear. When Fuyumi-Chan and Natsuo-Kun visited me at my apartment, we exchanged numbers in case something happened. I guess something was important because she was calling me.
"Hello?" I asked into the phone, my voice was kinda shakey from wondering what was going on.
"Hi, Izuku-Chan. I'm calling you because Natsuo and I are going to the hospital right now to visit Shoto. The doctor said he could have visitors but he isn't awake yet," Fuyumi-Chan explained to me. I could hear the small cracks in her voice.
"R-Really?!" I inquired. I was so startled to hear about Shoto that I almost dropped my phone.
"Yes. I'm calling you to see if you wanted to join us. I heard you were one of the first people to see it happen and I think you deserve to come with us. So, can you get over to the hospital?" Asked Fuyumi-Chan.
"I mean, my class is in some trouble for being out of the dorms yesterday, so I don't really know. I'll ask my homeroom teacher, though. I will text you when I get an answer."
"Great, but I really hope you can come. I'll talk to you later, Izuku-Chan."
"Yeah, bye."
The phone call ended and I slipped my phone back into my pocket and walked back to the dining hall, looking for Mr. Aizawa in the process as well. When I made it back, there was no sign of the quirk-erasing teacher.
When I sat down, Iida turned his attention to me. "Midoriya, if I may ask, who called you?"
I took a bite out of my breakfast. "Shoto's older sister. She called me to say he could have visitors now and that she wanted me to come."
Everyone in the dining hall stopped eating and looked at me.
"Todoroki can have visitors now?!" Asked Asui.
"Is he okay?!" Yaoyorozu questioned.
"Wait, Todoroki has a sister?" Kaminari asked.
All of the students kept asking questions, and Iida had to silence them a little. I looked at my class and nodded. "Yes, he does have a sister, and two older brothers as well. One he doesn't like to talk about. And he still isn't awake yet, but I think he's doing okay," I explained to my peers.

"Well, get your butt moving and get to the hospital!" Uraraka said excitedly.
"I can't. Remember we're all on house arrest? I'll have to ask Mr. Aizawa, but it's definitely going to be a no," I reminded them. Which they all then had a sort of disappointed look to their faces at that moment.
"Well, where is he? Let's ask him right now!" Kirishima commented, looking around the dining room.
"I don't know where he is," I spoke.
"Oh, honey. I can solve that, but you may want to cover your ears," Ashido warned, and we all did what she asked.
Ashido took a deep breath before screaming at the top of her lungs, "MR. AIZAWA! WE NEED YOU IN THE DINING HALL!"
"Jesus Christ, Creepy Eyes, are the kid of Present Mic or something?!" Kacchan cursed as he held his ears, which were probably ringing.
All the girl with the pink hair did was giggle at her friend's comment, "Nah, I just got loud vocal cords."
Soon, we heard running footsteps and Mr. Aizawa entered the dining hall with a confused/angry/tired facial expression on his face. "Ashido what the hell is going on?!" Mr. Aizawa asked, then seeing nothing was out of the ordinary.
I got up from my seat and walked up to my seat, "Mr. Aizawa, I actually have a question to ask you."
"I had to be yelled over here because you had a question, Midoriya?" Mr. Aizawa asked with now a more mad expression.
I nodded.
Mr. Aizawa sighed and looked back at me, "alright, what is it?" He asked.
"Well, I got a call saying that Shoto was allowed to have visitors, and I was wondering if I was allowed to go?" I asked.
"Midoriya. You and everyone know that you all are under dorm-arrest for your idiotic actions yesterday. I'm sorry, even though this has to do with Todoroki, I'm going to have to say no."
Then the whole class started to get angry. "Come on, Mr. Aizawa! You have to let her go!" Yelled Uraraka.
"That's her boyfriend we're talking about here!" Protested Kirishima.
"You're really going to do that?!" Asked Kaminari.
"Let her go!" Said Jiro.
"Midoriya deserves to see Todoroki!" Yaoyorozu yelled.
"Just the damn nerd visit her Icy Hot boyfriend," spoke Kacchan.
While the whole class yelled and fought for me to go see him, Mr. Aizawa finally cracked and shouted. "OKAY! I'll let her go," then my teacher looked at me, "but, you have to be back here in three hours or less."
Even though I was so happy and I thought I was going to explode, I kept my calm and nodded. "I promise I'll come back at that time, Mr. Aizawa. Don't worry."

Mr. Aizawa only nodded, then left. My class cheered a little and wished me luck as I started to leave the dining hall. I said goodbye to them and went to my dorm room to put on my shoes, grab my bag, and I left the dorms to go see Shoto.
When I arrived at the hospital, I saw Fuyumi-Chan and Natsuo-Kun waiting in the waiting room. While I was on the way over there, I texted Fuyumi-Chan telling her I could come and I was going to be there soon. Soon as I walked into the waiting room, the female Todoroki saw me and got up quickly.
"I'm so glad you could come, Izuku-Chan!" Fuyumi-Chan hugged me tightly.
I melted into the comforting embrace and smiled softly, "I am too."
Natsuo-Kun walked over by us, and he kinda interrupted us by saying, "the nurse said we could go see Shoto now." The white-haired male had a sort of solemn look to his pale face.
Fuyumi-Chan nodded and I followed the two siblings to a nurse who was writing down some notes on a clipboard. She looked up at us, "you're here to see Mr. Shoto Todoroki, correct?" she asked.
"Yes, he is our brother," Natsuo-Kun informed the nurse.
"Alright. Are you family as well?" The nurse asked me.
I shook my head, "um, no I'm not."
"I'm sorry. I'm afraid only family members can visit at this time," explained the nurse.
I looked at Fuyumi-Chan and Natsuo-Kun. I about told them I would just be going back to the dorms then, but Fuyumi-Chan spoke up for my behalf.
"Please Ma'am, can't you let her see him? She is our brother's girlfriend and has been absolutely worried sick about him. It wouldn't be fair to her if we went to see him without her," Fuyumi-Chan tod the nurse, almost begging to let me see him.
The nurse pondered what Fuyumi-Chan said and then finally gave us an answer. "Okay, I'll let her come with. Good thing the patient doesn't have a terrible illness or I would have had to say no."
I looked at Fuyumi-Chan and she smiled at me, I smiled back as well as the nurse leads us to Shoto's hospital room.
We got there in a short amount of time and the nurse opened the door for us and walked us into the somewhat dark room. Then, I saw him. Shoto was lying on a hospital bed with an oxygen mask on his face, tubes coming in and out of him, and I heard the sound of beeping all throughout the room.
"I'll give you all some privacy before the doctor comes in," The nurse told us and left the room.
Fuyumi-Chan let out of sob as she looked at her little brother, and tears started to fall from her stormy gray eyes. Natsuo-Kun wrapped his arm around his sister and comforted her the best he could.
I walked over to Shoto's side and kneeled down on the floor right next to him, tears escaping my eyes as well. I could see Shoto breathe in and out of the mask slowly and saw his chest rising and falling somewhat regular. I was glad that he was doing so much better than he was yesterday when he almost stopped breathing.
Staring at his bed, I moved my hand towards his hand and gripped it softly. It made me remember all the wonderful memories of Shoto and I holding hands and talking for hours on end.
Soon, the doctor walked into the room. "Hello, I'm Doctor Atomu Chickao. You must be Mr. Todoroki's siblings, yes?" Doctor Chickao asked Fuyumi-Chan and Natsuo-Kun.
The two Todoroki's nodded, "yes Doctor, we are," said Natsuo-Kun.
"Who are you, then?" The Doctor questioned me.
"I'm Izuku Midoriya, Shoto's girlfriend," I told Doctor Chickao.
Doctor Chickao smiled and put his hand out for a handshake. I took my other hand and shook his, then he sat down in a seat by Shoto and started talking. "So, you're probably wondering about your brother's condition and if he will be okay, which by the way, he will be."
All of us sighed in relief when the Doctor said that, and he continued. "As you know, Mr. Todoroki was stabbed in his lower side area and suffered from major blood loss and a minor concussion from probably landing on the concrete. We successfully gave him the blood he needed and closed the large stab wound with stitches, but there will a large scar when it's healed," Doctor Chickao explained.
"When will he wake up?" Asked Fuyumi-Chan, fixing her glasses.
"Well, due to his concussion, I would say about one or two weeks, maybe even three since of the blood loss. But, it's way too early to tell."
The whole time Doctor Chickao explained Shoto's condition when he would wake up and all that I never let go of his hand. It was relaxing hold onto his hand after all this time has passed.
We all continued to listen to the Doctor talk about Shoto the whole time, not losing our attention once.

8 169Return of Chaos
For the longest time, it was thought that the citizens of Earth were the only denizens of the galaxy incapable of developing superhuman abilities — but recent events have flipped that assumption on its head. Between Austin Travis, Mote Emerson, Pierce Bradley, and their friends, Earth is now host to 12 Chaotics… as well as a myriad of mysteries surrounding them. From a new nemesis in the form of a clone, to connections to ancient technology from a long-lost civilization, to the ability to summon powerful legendary weapons, these 12 Chaotics have unknowingly become entangled in something larger than any of them have ever imagined. As if in response to these discoveries, the sinister machinations of galactic evil are churning. The metallic infection, a calamitous nanotechnology “disease” thought to have been vanquished 20 years ago, is slowly returning — and alongside it, a number of conflicts thought to be long past. While they only seek to better grasp their own abilities, Earth’s Chaotics will soon find themselves in the crossfire of returning threats and old heroes. These superpowered Earthians may not have chosen this path through life, but it will still be up to them to determine if history remembers them — to determine if history remembers the saga of the Keys. Return of Chaos is a direct sequel to Chosen Chaos, which begins the Key Saga novel series. Be sure to read Chosen Chaos first, to understand the plot and the characters thus far! Additionally, the Key Saga as a whole takes place 20 years after Rise. You will not need to read Rise to understand the events of Return of Chaos, however the latter will spoil many of the events that occurred in Rise, due to the simple chronology of taking place later in the timeline.
