《✶ c h a n g e d ✶ { Female Deku AU }》Thirty

All the students of UA High School were standing underneath the stands of the arena, waiting for the festival to start. Since it was still winter, and it was super cold, the Training Festival is going to be held in a special area that has a dome around it and had all the events in it.
I was with my classmates in our tunnel under the seats, waiting for the festival to start. Mr. Aizawa was sitting with the other teachers somewhere in the stands. I kept looking out of the large space of the tunnel where we exit when the festival stars, watching all of the people sit down in the area. Let me tell you, there were more than a thousand people here.
"All the stupid waiting sucks! When will the festival start?!" Kaminari asked, crossing his arms.
Jiro looked over at the electrical blonde, who was right next to her. "Can you quit your complaining? You're acting like a three-year-old for God's sake."
"What are you going to do about it? Make me?"
"Exactly."
"How?" Kaminari leaned over Jiro and gave her a smirk. Jiro turned a light shade of pink and then stabbed him in the shoulder with her earphone jacks. Witch, he responded with a loud "OW!" The purple-haired girl looked away like she didn't do anything wrong.
Looking over at the two, I giggled a little. Uraraka and Asui, who were right by me, laughed along with me as well. I was kinda glad that fun stuff like this was going on because it was distracting me from all my nervousness.
Yeah, I felt nervous at the Sport's Festival, but this felt different for some reason. The Training Festival was less important than the Sports Festival, but I feel more nervous right now than I did back then. Plus, there were butterflies flying around all over in my stomach, which made it worse.
My two friends looked over at me, "Deku? Are you okay? You're looking kinda pale," Uraraka spoke.
"Yeah, I noticed that too," Asui added.
I turned my head to face the two girls. "I'm just feeling super nervous... I don't know why, but I feel like that right now," I confessed to Asui and Uraraka.
"Maybe it's all the anticipation going on right now. I mean, we have to do this entire festival by ourselves. Even though it's just to help us train for the Provisional Licensing Exam, we still have to try to win at the same time," acknowledged Asui.
"I agree with Asui, all of us are feeling nervous about this," Uraraka said.
"Maybe you guys are right..." I told them, turning my gaze downwards to the floor. I agreed with my friends, sure, but I didn't feel just nervous. I didn't know how to describe it, it was just like another feeling hiding through my pool of emotions.
I felt Asui and Uraraka hug me, "It'll be okay, Deku. Even though we're all not going to be together, we are still here for you," Uraraka consoled me.
"You bet we are! Ribbit!" Said Asui.
Smiling, I gave the two girls another hug. Not only was it to help me calm down, but I wanted to comfort my friends too since I bet they were all nervous as well. While we were all embracing each other, I heard a voice ask, "what's going on here?"
Asui, Uraraka, and I all broke apart to see Shoto by us, with a questioning expression on his face. My best friends looked at Shoto, me, then each other, "we'll give you some privacy," Asui spoke and gave us a little wink as she left with Uraraka. My face went a little pink.

Shoto looked at me, still waiting for his question to be answered. "Well?" He asked.
"Asui and Uraraka were just trying to comfort me before the festival started," I explained.
"Why? Are you feeling okay?" My boyfriend gave me a sympathetic look and softly touched my hand, I knew he was starting to get a little worried.
I nodded, "yeah, I'm feeling fine. You know those pre-event jitters." I didn't want to tell Shoto that I wasn't feeling that well, otherwise, he would be worried about me the whole time and would be too distracted to do a good job in the Training Festival. I don't want Shoto to lose because he was worried about me. Plus, his father was in the stands. If he lost, he would be in major trouble with Endeavor.
"That's a relief," said Shoto, giving me a small smile.
I smiled back, but it was a little forced. I tried to make it seem like I was doing great. I and the red and white-haired boy kept talking until we heard Present Mic's loud, booming voice. That's how all of us knew that the festival was now starting and it was announcement time.
"HELLO, EVERYBODY! WELCOME TO THE TRAINING FESTIVAL OF UA HIGH SCHOOL!" Present Mic greeted the entire arena.
Everyone in the stands cheered, and Present Mic continued to speak, "I HOPE ALL OF YOU ARE HAVING A BLAST-TASTIC TIME RIGHT NOW! FOR THIS YEARS TRAINING FESTIVAL, ONE OF OUR BELOVED TEACHERS WILL BE EXPLAINING THE RULES. GIVE IT UP FOR THE ALLURING PRO HERO, MIDNIGHT!"
The 18+ Pro Hero then walked out to the middle of the arena. Mineta started to gawk at the sight of Midnight and started to drool, everyone gave him a disgusted look as they moved away from him. Midnight then took the microphone from the loud hero.
"Thank you so much, Present Mic, for that lovely introduction~," said Midnight, "I'm so very glad to be an announcer once again for these festivals. But before I continue, let's get our beloved students out here, shall we?" The crowd roared with cheers again.
That was our queue. All the teens that attended UA High School entered the arena and formed groups of their classmates. We all stood together and waited for the woman with the long, jet black hair to start explaining the rules for this year's Training Festival.
"That's more like it! Now, let's get to all the explaining stuff. All of you know there are no teams and you cannot help each other, and you all are going to be alone for this whole entire festival. The Training Festival will contain many events where you have to use your quirks or thinking skills to get out of sticky situations, like the Provisional Licensing Exam. There are few rules, only no helping others, and cheating in one of the events," explained Midnight.
"Let's get to our first event! It's an obstacle course, but not just any obstacle course! You see, the entire course is made out of a special concrete that crumbles to the ground when there is too much pressure. Also, fire surrounds the whole structure! So, you have to be really careful! I forgot to mention as well that all of you have to get through it quickly or you will be disqualified from the festival!" All of us looked at each other with wide eyes.
"Is that even safe?!" Iida asked.
"Trying to keep us from dying my butt," said Kirishima.
"I should have gone to Ketsubutsu Academy," Ashido grumbled.

"Enough chit chat, students!" Yelled Midnight, "get ready!"
Soon after Midnight yelled that one of the arena doors opened to reveal the crazy obstacle course. The students of UA got ready to run through there, and then Midnight blew a loud whistle and we were off. Kids were already using their quirks to get their faster, and I activated Full Cowl to about 5% and rushed off.
I gripped onto the railing of the large structure, and it was already starting to crumble to bits. Putting my foot over the railing I got up there and rushed straight towards the next challenge, which was a rope climbing activity. I watched at other students moved their way across it, and more ruble off the course fell to the ground where the fire burned. Clutching the rope, I started to move my hands one in front of the other to make my way to the other side.
Already, I saw kids fall off the obstacle course and get disqualified. To be specific, 12 students got sent to the stands to watch the rest of the festival. I felt bad for them, but I had to keep moving before the whole thing collapses with all the weight it's already holding.
The next few obstacles were moving across a monkey bar set, then a bunch of fragile staircases, firefighter poles, and confusing mazes. The ring of an alarm notified all of us that event number one was completed and the obstacle course then fell to the ground, burning to ashes. The ones who were still in were me, Shoto, Uraraka, Asui, Kirishima, Kacchan, Iida, Yaoyorozu, Shoji, Ojiro, and Jiro, and a few other from other classes. The rest of our class got disqualified. Which meant 80 kids are out.
"Time for event number two!" Midnight shouted, "this time you all are going to be placed in different, small domes with a different situation to get out of! You have thirty minutes to find an escape or YOU'RE OUT!"
"These just keep getting crazy and more crazy don't they?" I asked Asui, who was standing beside me.
"Pretty much," she stated.
Suddenly, the ground of the arena broke apart and all of us were separated into our own little domes. There was a large timer on the outside of the dome and it was pretty dark in the bubble I was in. Soon, the timer went off and it started to count down. I heard the sound of rushing water slowly flowing down the wall of the dome, and hitting the ground.
I started to panic. I'm trapped in a small dome slowly filling up with water! This is soooo not good! I leaned against the wall and tried to calm myself down with the situation I was in, but I couldn't and continued to breathe heavily.
Feeling the water rising up to my ankles, the bottoms of my gym clothes were starting to get soaked. I couldn't move because I was so scared and shocked about what was going on. I looked back at the timer and saw it read 23:24. It's already been 6 minutes?! I asked myself.
I took a deep breath and started to walk around to find an escape. The water was halfway up to my knees and it was slowing me down a little, but I managed. I scaled the walls, looking for an opening or something. I found nothing.
Maybe you have to break out of the dome using your quirk?... I then summed One for All at 6% percent and hit the glass, but then it backfired and I felt to the ground, making myself soaking wet with water. I stood up and tried to wring the water off my clothes.
The water kept flowing and flowing. I kept thinking that the water was coming in faster and faster because it was already up to my waist. I activated my quirk again at 10% and hit the ceiling of the dome again, and this time it cracked slightly, but not so much that it caused serious damage.
I kept hitting and punching the glass of the dome, and it still wasn't shattering. I was starting to panic again because I only had 11 minutes to get out of here before I get disqualified or drown because the waster was now somewhat past my chest. After giving the top of the water prison I was in another punch, it cracked more and a few pieces of glass fell into the pool of H20.
Looking at the crack, I then took a look at my arm. It was bruised pretty bad, it was cut all over from the glass shards, it also hurt like heck. But, I had to use way more of my power to make this whole thing shatter. The water now filled the whole dome and I was underwater. I held my breath tightly and tried to look around, but I was hard because my eyes stung and it was pretty dark. Using 85% of One For All, I punched the glass as hard as I could.
The glass completely shattered and I was moved away from the scene by a rush of water. I coughed and tried to get the water out of my system. My entire attire was wet and my hair looked like a bunch of wet green vines hanging over my face.
I saw some of my friends were out of their domes as well and soon the buzzer went off. The people who were left now were Me, Uraraka, Shoto, Kacchan, Kirishima, Yaoyorozu and Iida. The others were sent to the stands. In total, 98 kids were disqualified.
Standing up, I was prepared for the next event.
The third event was trying to beat a team of 'villains' by ourselves, and only Shoto, I, Iida, Yaoyorozu, and Kacchan made it out without being eliminated. The fourth was to save as many hostages as we could and after that, it was only Me, Iida, Shoto, and Yaoyorozu. Kachan got eliminated because the hostage was crying and Kacchan yelled and swore at him to shut up.
In the very last event, we had to go up against each other in a race. That last event determined whether you cam in First, Second, of Third. Even though I looked and felt like absolute crap, I pushed through and completed the race. The total scores were First Place, Shoto; Second Place, Me (surprisingly) and Third Place, Iida. Iida got third because he had a little malfunction with his engines and fell, but he still managed to get on the scoreboard. Yaoyorozu got eliminated.
After receiving my silver medal and taking pictures for the press with Shoto and Iida, I walked off to get some water because I was thirsty after all those events.
"Good job out there," I heard Shoto's voice behind me, and I turned around and smiled. Actually not faking it this time.
"The same thing to you." Shoto and I leaned into a kiss, just when I thought the moment was perfect, something happened that changed everything.
"I knew you were hiding something, Shoto." We both turned our heads to see someone that made my face grow pale and my body stiffen to the point where I couldn't move.
Endeavor was standing right there, with his arms crossed and an angry look was on his fiery face.
