《✶ c h a n g e d ✶ { Female Deku AU }》Twenty Four

It's been a few days since I got back to my old apartment. My mom and I have been spending my break so far by watching funny and romantic Christmas movies, drinking hot chocolate, baking, and playing board games. It's been really great to be back home.
I was sitting on the couch, on my phone. I was just scrolling through Instagram when I got a text, I checked the contact name and it was from Todoroki.
Hey, Midoriya. Are you free right now? My father is home right now and my siblings aren't here, and I don't really want to be alone with my old man right now.
Yeah, I'm free. Should we meet up somewhere?
Like the cafe?
That sounds great.
Okay! I'll get ready and leave my apartment in 20 minutes.
Got it, I'll see you later.
See ya!
I got up from the couch and went to my bedroom to change my clothes. I was only wearing an old t-shirt and sweatpants. I put on a light green jacket with a white t-shirt and blue skinny jeans. I brushed my hair a little to make it look a little more presentable.
"Where are you heading off to?" My mom asked, standing in my doorway.
"I'm going to hang out with a friend, is that okay with you?" I asked her.
"Yes, it is. Who's the friend?"
"Um...Todoroki..."
"Is it a date?!"
"N-No! We're just hanging out, like last time!"
My mother gave me a knowing smirk but nodded. "Okay, baby. Make sure to dress warm and come back at dinner."
"I will mom, don't worry!" I smiled and grabbed my stuff, then gave her a kiss on the cheek goodbye and left my apartment to go meet up with Todoroki.
After walking a not-so-long distance to get to the cafe, I found Todoroki waiting for me outside in the cold, the only winter clothing he was wearing was a light jacket, that was way too light to be warm in the weather.
"Aren't you freezing?" I asked, heading up to him.
Todoroki shook his head, "No, the cold doesn't bother me that much."
Even though I was concerned for Todoroki, I nodded anyway. "Okay, but can we go in now? I'm really cold out here."
"Yeah, come on." Todoroki opened the door for me and I thanked him. Both of us sat down at a booth and took off our winter apparel. I was so happy that the cafe had nice heating and that I wasn't a freezing popsicle anymore.
Soon, the waitress came over to our booth. "Welcome! Are you ready to order?" She asked, getting her notepad and pen ready to write down what we want.

"Yes, we are. I'll have a black coffee please," said Todoroki, handing the waitress his menu.
"I'll have a hot chocolate with a strawberry crepe, please," I told the waitress, giving her my menu as well.
Our waitress wrote down our orders and smiled, "Alrighty! I'll be back soon!" And then she disappeared to the back of the cafe.
I got comfortable in my seat and looked over at Todoroki, folding my hands across the table. "Todoroki? Why did you want to leave your house so quickly? Did something happen?" I asked him. I felt a little worried when I got that text from him and wanted to know if he was okay.
Todoroki looked at the table, seeming fascinated by the tray of napkins. "I didn't want to deal with him. He found out I went to the dance and started yelling at me today since he wasn't here the past few days. So I texted you from my room and snuck out the window."
"You snuck out the window? Aren't you worried your dad will figure out you left?" I inquired, feeling slightly worried.
"If he finds me, he finds me. I just needed at least an hour away from him," The red and white-haired male told me. He put his hand on his forehead like he was having a headache, but I felt like a headache to Todoroki was the ringing of his angry dad's yells going through his head.
"I'm sorry," I say to Todoroki.
"Why are you apologizing, Midoriya? You did nothing wrong," Todoroki questioned me.
"It's just...I feel terrible that you have to live with that monster of a father for the next few days," I confessed, my eyes starting to become teary.
"Midoriya..." Todoroki reached for my hand, trying to console me a little. "It's okay. There are only a few more days of vacation and then we'll be back the dorms again. You don't need to worry, and plus my dad needs to leave for Tokyo tonight anyway."
I looked at him and saw he one of his small rare smiles on his face. I smiled too and gripped Todoroki's hand back. Our waitress then came back with our order and Todoroki and I had to let go, but that was fine because we were only a few feet away from each other. We spent the time in the cafe drinking our drinks and having conversations that made Todoroki and I both laugh a little.
Todoroki and I finished everything at the cafe and Todoroki offered to pay, I did also. After a little bit of arguing, Todoroki won and got to pay. I was kinda mad that I lost but I tried to keep my cool.

"You're just furious, aren't you?" Todoroki asked as we were walking away from the cafe.
I looked up at him, knowing he was saying that to make me even madder. But I kept my anger down and kept my calm, "I'm not mad, but I could have paid, you know."
"But I offered first."
"I offered second."
"That doesn't mean anything, first means you win."
"Whatever, I don't care anymore," I said, looking away from him.
"Yes, you do," Todoroki stated, I could almost clearly hear the smirk on his face.
I pushed him away from me and he started to laugh a little. I playfully rolled my eyes and started to walk away from him, not going to deal with him.
"Midoriya, come on!" Todoroki caught up to me and grabbed my hand, which startled me a little.
"I was just about to go home," I said.
"We still have an hour before you need to get home," Todoroki told me.
"How do you know that?" I asked him.
"Well, your mother may have texted me many times while we hung out saying that you needed to be home at 6:00 p.m."
"My mom has your number?"
"She may have asked me to give it to her when I came to your apartment the first time."
"Are you serious?"
"Totally serious."
I let out a laugh and started to get into a small laughing fit. Todoroki started to laugh as well and we soon stopped, but both of us still had small smiles on our faces. Todoroki gripped my hand again and started to walk in another direction.
"Where are you taking us, Todoroki?" I asked, cocking my head to the side in confusion.
"I want to show you something," He said, giving me a little smile. I felt a small blush on my face and looked in the other direction, but I gripped Todoroki's hand and followed him.
After a series of questions about where we were going from me, and a bunch of one-word answers from Todoroki, the male with me said we were finally here. Both of us were standing on a bridge in the middle of a park. The bridge was above a little frozen river and a bunch of cherry blossom trees covered in ice and snow surrounded the park. Above everything was the sky, filled with a million bright stars. I was surprised I didn't notice them before.
"Wow, this is place is so beautiful, Todoroki..." I breathed out in awe. I never knew a place could be this pretty, but I was proved wrong.
"I used to come here all the time when I was a kid when I had enough of my family. You should see this place in spring, all the flowers and trees are in bloom," Todoroki explained.
"I would love to see that," I looked over at him and smiled.
Todoroki smiled as well, "I would be happy to show you."
I felt my face get hot again and I looked away, hoping Todoroki wouldn't see my face. I turned my head back to Todoroki and saw that there was a light blush on his pale face as well.
"Midoriya?" Todoroki asked, grabbing my attention.
"Yes?" I replied.
"You know how for a while I have been trying to tell you something important but I kept getting interrupted?" I knew exactly what Todoroki was talking about and nodded, wanting him to tell me what he wanted to tell me for a while.
"Well, I think now is a good time to you..." Todoroki took a deep breath, and he looked somewhat...Nervous? Would could be so important that Todoroki was getting nervous like this? I asked myself.
"You see, ever since the mission in the city, I have been having these feelings...I didn't know what they meant and it took a while to find out why I was feeling them of how they started, but every time I looked at you I just wanted to-"
Todoroki paused, and then I felt my eyes bulge out of their sockets. My body had become as still as a board and my heartbeat quickened. In all, it felt like time had stopped altogether.
You want to know why?
Because Todoroki kissed me on the lips.
On. The. Lips.
Then, Todoroki pulled away. He looked at me and my eyes were very wide, "I'm sorry, that was inappropriate of me. I can tell by your expression that you don't feel the same way." Todoroki started to walk away and I was so shocked I almost let him get away from me.
"Todoroki, wait!" I ran up to him. I grabbed his wrist, turning him towards me. His eyes went wide when I wrapped my arms around his neck the best I could and kissed him on his lips. I soon felt him kissing me back, his hands wrapping around my waist.
We broke apart and I smiled brightly, "I do feel the same way, Todoroki."
Todoroki smiled, and it a smile larger than one I have ever seen before from him. "I'm seriously glad you do."
I smiled and leaned back into Todoroki, kissing him again. Todoroki happily obliged and I felt so happy at that moment. Nothing else seemed to matter to any of us as we kissed in the pale starlight.
