《✶ c h a n g e d ✶ { Female Deku AU }》Twenty Three

When Todoroki and I joined the party back again, we learned some things. One; the reason Jiro was chasing Mineta was that he touched her butt, Two; Sero and Kaminari cannot be trusted with music because they started playing inappropriate Christmas songs, and Three; Never talk about most shows around the boys because they got into another argument.

In all, the party was fun. It was the day after and I had been packing to go to my mom's all night, and before I left I said goodbye to all my friends. The last one I had to say goodbye to was Todoroki.

"Bye, Todoroki," I told him, we then hugged goodbye. "Be careful."

"I will, Midoriya, and it's only a week, I've lived with him my whole life," Todoroki replied, still embracing me.

We broke apart and I finally left The U.A dorms. I got onto a bus and started heading to my mother's apartment. I was getting so excited and anxious I was starting to shake. Since the powerlines were down I couldn't call my mom since the damage around there was pretty rough.

I made it to my old apartment and rung the doorbell, I heard running footsteps and saw my mom open the door quickly and hug me tightly. "Oh, my gosh Izuku you're okay! I was getting so worried since I couldn't get a hold of you!"

"I'm glad you're okay too, mom. I was worried too," I say to her, hugging her like I haven't seen her in forever.

"Come in, honey. I'll make breakfast and then we can open gifts," My mother said and I walked in, took my shoes off, put on my slippers and set down all my bags in my old room, which was pretty blank due to the fact I lived on the U.A campus now.

I sat down on the couch and looked at my apartment. The tree was up and the whole house was decorated in all my mom's festive decor. I wished I would have been here to help her decorate the apartment, but I had to be at U.A. I loved it there, but I love my apartment and my mom more.

My mother finished cooking breakfast, which was the delicious pancakes she made for us every Christmas morning and I dug in right away. I could never get enough of my mother's cooking, it was too good.

"Slow down, Izuku! You don't want to choke!" My mother laughed as she tried to warn me about eating too fast.

I gulped down a piece of pancake and smiled sheepishly, "Sorry mom, It's just too good."

"Thank you Izuku. But, I want to talk to you without you spitting your food all over the place," she smiled.

"What did you want to talk about?" I asked, wiping my mouth with a napkin.

"Well, how are your friends? Are Uraraka and that young man named Iida doing okay? Oh, how is Todoroki?" My mother smirked a little after saying the last part, and that made me blush a little.

"All of my friends are doing great, mom," I say to my mother, "So is Todoroki..." I felt my face heat up even more by me mentioning his name.

My mom looked at me and a smile rose upon her face, "Izuku, why are you blushing?"

"I-I'm not! It's j-just hot i-in here, o-okay?!" I stammered.

"I think I know what's going on here!" My mother said in a sing-song tone of voice, "do you have feelings for Todoroki?"

I was silent for a bit. Then I looked down at my plate of pancakes and softly nodded, "y-yeah."

My mom got so happy at that moment because she jumped out of her chair and acting like I just won this major event, "My little baby Izuku has a crush! I always dreamed for this day to come!"

"M-Mom, the neighbors can hear you!"

"I don't care, this is one of the happiest moments of my life!"

"Oh, my gosh," I put my hands over my red face in embarrassment. I love my mom, but this was a way too extreme. It was just a little crush, that's it!

After what seemed like hours of my mother acting like a middle school girl, concerned calls from our neighbors, and feeling like my face was going to melt off from embarrassment, my mom finally calmed down and we went into the living room to open presents.

My mom gave me my gifts first. I opened all of them and she got me some new All Might shirts, a new notebook, and pencils, some winter clothing for the cold weather, and some hot chocolate. I gave her a huge hug and thanked her for the gifts a million times.

I then pulled my gifts to her. I drew my mom a picture of her and me together, new slippers, some perfume, and a homemade card. When she opened her gifts some tears fell from her eyes, mostly from the picture I drew.

"Oh, Izuku! I love your presents so much, thank you so much!" My mother thanked me and gave me one of her tight hugs. Even though I had some issues breathing I didn't stop her.

"You're welcome, mom. Merry Christmas, I only wish I was here yesterday, so you wouldn't have been alone..." I told my mom, wrapping my pale arms around her.

"It's okay, honey. I know you couldn't get out of the dorms due to the storm, and I'm glad you didn't because I wouldn't know what I would do if you got hurt out there. What really matters right now is that you're here now and that you're safe." My mom rubbed my back, giving me that heartwarming smile she always wore.

I smiled too and kept embracing my mother. Even though I still felt kinda bad that I couldn't be with my mom yesterday, but her telling me it was okay made me feel better. I'm glad that I could be with her right now because I missed her so much.
