《That Day // Villain Deku》Chapter 45 : This Is Perfect...

"Excuse me?" The girl asked me with hostility.
"You bored? Like do you wanna go do something?" I repeated myself. "This tension is making it hard for me to work..."
"Tension? You kidnapped me and think the tension is what's wrong with that?" She questioned me, practically screaming as she looked at me as if I were crazy. "No! I don't want do anything with you!"
"That's unfortunate..." I sighed. "It's either we do something to destroy this intense aura, or I let Toga look after you for me. I doubt you'd want that though, she likes to stab cute girls and guys..."
A slight blush washed over her cheeks as she processed that I had indirectly called her cute.
How naïve.
I just kidnapped you, and your blushing?
"Oh well, I guess a psychopath with a knife never really hurt anyone. Come on, let's go see Toga." I spoke as I began to sit up.
"No!" She screamed out, grabbing my arm.
I glared daggers into her, as she released my arm from her grip, and averted eye contact.
"What... What would we do?" She hesitantly asked.
"You'll see." I spoke, grabbing her arm, and proceeding to drag her out of the room. "Oh, and if you try to escape, I won't hesitate to murder you where you stand."
Dragging her outside of the empty base, we were surrounded by the cold, refreshing air of the night. I loved going on 2am runs for this reason. It was refreshing and relaxing. Scooping up the periwinkle-haired girl, I activated Ghost and began to fly to where I had wanted to take her.
I needed her to trust me, or at the very least want to understand me. Right now, she's being stubborn because she doesn't even want to look at things from my perspective. She just knows that I'm the monster that murdered plenty—along with one of her friends. The way—I think—I'll get to her, is to show her the corruption of the heroes myself, as well as what I hope to accomplish. Words are meaningless—actions are really what count.
When we arrived at our destination, I put the girl down and told her to stay quiet. She looked at me with confusion but did as I told her. We crouched down and sat on a rooftop for a good ten minutes before I saw what I had been hoping to see tonight.
This rooftop overlooked a secluded alleyway. This alleyway was close to a certain hero's agency. The hero agency belonged to a corrupt hero that served under the name 'Red Gauntlet'. Red Gauntlet was known for being greedy and only caring about popularity, rather than saving people. As well as that, there were rumors going around that he had been a little 'too friendly' with his female fans.
It's despicable how he acts with his supporters, honestly.
I had been meaning to kill him ages ago, but this issue with Tomura had arisen and I had gotten distracted. It's my own fault for getting sucked in.
He had walked into the alleyway with a woman at his side, whom had been sounding confused.
"I thought you said you would show me to the train station?" She asked, obviously sounding nervous.
It was clear to see that she didn't know where they were, or why he had taken her to an alleyway rather than a train station. I would have gone down there by this point to stop what was about to happen; however, it would serve my cause to allow the periwinkle-haired girl to witness what those despicable excuses for human beings did in their free-time.

"Yeah, I'll show you to the train station in a minute..." Red Gauntlet spoke, softly, and he began walking closer to the woman.
The woman instinctively backed away and shakily asked the pro hero—standing in front of her—what he was doing. The girl sitting next to me was watching attentively, every so often sneaking confused glances at me. I turned my head and watched as her eyes widened in shock.
So she finally understood what was happening.
I turned back to see the woman with her back against the wall—shaking—as the pro hero was sucking face with her. She was obviously uncomfortable with the sexual advance the hero had made, but he continued. I stood up and flew down to put an end to the pro's perverted actions as I noticed him beginning to feel up the woman's skirt.
My fist came into contact with the hero's jaw, and he flew backwards—releasing the woman in the confusion. She fell to the ground and began gasping for air; meanwhile, I stood over the hero on the ground, looking at him in disgust.
"Who the hell are you?!" He yelled at me in anger and annoyance—undoubtedly from my intervention.
Realization hit his expression as I activated my Energy Whip—which aided in illuminating the dark alleyway we were in. He began begging for mercy, which angered me more than I led on. I quickly lifted my arm and brought my whip down onto the hero, striking him clean down the middle of his body, and melting through his flesh.
I heard a scream erupt from behind me as I watched blood pool out of the hero's wound. I let out a soft laugh as I glanced back up to the periwinkle-haired girl I had brought along for the ride. She looked disgusted—like she were on the verge of throwing up. Then I looked at the woman on the floor behind me. She was shaking in fear as she realized who was standing in front of her, and what had just happened.
Poor girl...
For two horrendous acts to happen in front of this woman in one night, she must have terrible luck.
"Ma'am, are you ok?" I asked her as sweetly as I could, while flashing her my signature, happy smile.
I opened my eyes and looked down at her shaking figure as she stared back up at me in fear. She once again screamed and picked herself off of the dirty concrete in the alleyway, before running away in fear. I floated back up to the rooftop and looked the periwinkle-haired girl in the eyes.
Her eyes held disgust and fear; although, I couldn't tell whether the disgust in her eyes was directed towards me or the now deceased hero—bleeding out in the alley.
"You see it now, don't you?" I asked her as I began to walk to the edge of the building. "Society wants us to look past the disgusting antics those damned heroes get up to in their free time."
She remained silent as I spoke—her eyes, still fixated on the hero, laying in a puddle of his own blood.
"There are good hearted heroes out there, sure, but there are those that abuse, harass, and neglect those that need help. Those who idolize the heroes are blind. Blind to the selfish ways of those bastards." I explained. "Now you see what really happens behind the scene. Now you see the corruption of those you looked up to. Red Gauntlet was one among many. Whenever a hero does something as despicable as this, the police cover it up."

Like how Endeavor abused his family.
"They stuff it under the rug, as if it had never happened." I paused. "Now you see the other side of the coin."
"I-I do..." The periwinkle-haired girl chocked out, still in shock as she processed what she had just witnessed.
"What do you think of your heroes now?" I asked, as I smiled back at her.
"I-I..." She spoke softly.
She could barely even formulate words. I walked back over to her and scooped her up in my arms before activating Ghost and flying her and myself back to the base. It was a silent trip, almost exactly the same as the fly on the way here. The only differences were the soft sobs that escaped the lips of the girl in my arms every few seconds.
It's hard.
Learning that the people you looked up to, aren't what they seemed to be. Watching your idol deflate on live television, watching your parents cry, it shows us that everyone is human. Everyone we look up to is just as human as we are, and humans are despicable creatures. Humans are greedy. Humans are selfish. Humans are money-driven narcissists.
I used to see humanity as this group. A group that I would never be considered a part of, but I wanted to join so bad. I wanted to be seen as human in the eyes of others, rather than some animal. I looked at everyone around me and saw kind, compassionate, and good people. Even those that wronged me. Until one day, I looked around and saw nothing but angry, greedy, and loathsome people. People full of hate.
My eyes were forcefully opened by the bad hand I had been dealt in this sick, twisted game called life. My eyes were held open by society, only for me to watch the corruption of humanity. Humanity is broken, and I'm going to be the one to fix it.
This shaking girl in my arms had just witnessed the corruption of the people she had looked up to first hand. I've been in her shoes before. Over, and over, and over again. I've always been on the losing side. I've always been dealt the bad hand. I've always been kicked down—forced to pick myself back up—only for it to happen to me again and again and again. Until, I got sick of it.
This kind of eye-opening moment can break a person. Break a person to point at which they don't want to be put back together because THEY know, that they'll only be put through more crap as they go through their lives. It's tiring. It's annoying. It's sad. It's painful.
It's hard.
I landed in front of the base and carried the girl back to my room. As soon as I closed the door, she seemed to fall back into reality from whatever dazed state she had been in previously. She turned to look at me with tears, filling her eyes, as she tried to choke out words.
"Wh-Why?"
I hummed in response, wondering what she was referring to.
Why what?
"W-Why did you save that woman?" She answered the question I had yet to ask, trying to compose herself.
I sighed as I went to sit down on the love seat, before answering.
"I'm here to help humanity." I started. "I'm not one of the few villains that simply want to cause trouble. I want to change the world. I want to free humanity from itself. I want to wake up, and see a society full of kind, empathetic, and good-hearted people."
I don't like talking about myself. I don't like telling people about myself, but in this case it's different. I need this girl to see things from my perspective. I need her to understand that us 'villains' are the real heroes, and she won't understand if I don't explain.
"I want to fix society, and I want you to help me." I spoke.
I needed her to get me access to information that only third-years would have access to, so I wanted her to help me in getting information. Information is valuable. Information could be the turning point in a fight. Knowing how to defuse a bomb is better than having a hammer. Third-years had access to information that first-years just couldn't get.
Ergo, I need her help.
I heard a loud slamming sound coming from downstairs and started heading towards the door.
"That's my que."
Waving at the girl, I left before she had a chance to speak.
She's naïve if she thinks I need her for anything more than what she can get me.
I walked down the stairs towards the common room and was met with my comrades—soaked in water. They looked at me, unamused, then Tomura cleared his throat.
"So..." He started. "How was YOUR night?"
"I'm sorry for not telling you earlier where we had been going, I completely forgot."
"Yeah, it's fine. You're typically quite reliable so I'll let it go this time, Kaminari."
"Great." Kaminari spoke from the other end of the line.
I had been waiting in the common area for Todoroki and Kaminari for what seemed like forever, before I decided to just call him. The League supplied the two with burner phones, that way we'd have no trouble contacting them whenever we needed to.
"So tell me about this Nabu Island thing. What's your class doing all the way out there?" I asked him.
"Oh, the current hero that had been taking care of this island had just recently retired due to old age, so our school decided to send us here as a replacement until someone else can show up." Kaminari explained. "The only heroes on the island now are the students from Class 1-A. Luckily, there are no real villains on the island, so we're basically just charging car batteries and finding lost kids-"
"Hello..?" I asked.
No response.
"Hello?" I repeated.
The line went dead.
I was confused at this point. Kaminari doesn't ever hang up the phone unless something's wrong.
I decided to keep this little encounter in the back of my head and check to see where Nine and his friends had gone. Then I realized.
This is perfect.
