《That Day // Villain Deku》Chapter 36 : This Will Be Interesting...

08:30am

That was the time. The time the rescue mission would officially start. The time we would all risk our live to save one girl. Honestly, I'm sure she'd be able to handle herself. She's just wasting the heroes' time.

"Once they've read the warrant, you're free to move."

As the captain of the police department rose his finger to the doorbell, the door was smashed open from the inside. In the confusion, a man came, jumping out. He wore a black tank-top, along with jeans. The villain's support gear consisted of a plague-doctor mask, some metal gloves, and metal knuckledusters. The color of his high-tops reminded me of something.

Red.

Red high-tops.

Izuku's red high-tops.

I ground my teeth as his dumb face crawled from the depths of my mind until surfacing at the forefront of my thoughts.

Next time I see him, I'll kill him.

From the commotion, a few police officers went flying. I jumped back and caught one, while Mr. Aizawa saved the other two with his scarf-capture weapon.

Damn police officers can't even look after themselves, needing heroes to save them...

I saw the Dragon Hero : Ryukyu activate her quirk, and then blocking an attack the villain was about to land. She told everyone to go, and that the Ryukyu agency would handle the villain, so the rest of us began to run through the gate.

There were three men waiting for us as we ran, making our way to the door—past the garden. None of them looked out of the ordinary. They all seemed to be dressed for a day-job or something.

"This is the heroes and the police. We have a warrant to search your premises on suspicion of manufacture and sale of illegal drugs."

"They've got a search warrant?" The man in the middle of the three spoke.

He wore a plain, black dress-shirt with black pants and dress shoes. His hair was a dark brown-ish color and he had a faint mustache.

The man to his left wore a grey-ish-blue jacket with a red under-shirt. He too wore black pants and dress shoes, just like the middle guy and the guy to their right. His hair was black and his sun-glasses blocked my view of his eyes.

The guy to the right had a classic, white, dress-shirt and had light-brown hair.

"Who cares."

The man in the white dress-shirt spoke, as he began to pull the blades of the bush—to his right—and hurtle them towards the ERT of the TMPD—which their shields ultimately blocked. A hero jumped out and onto the man, stopping his attack; meanwhile, the other two men were restrained.

We continued running towards the door, leaving a portion of our mini army to hold off the villains outside.

"We've got this."

I looked up to see Mirio looking as determined as ever. He's been seriously beating himself up for not saving the girl the first-time 'round, but I don't know why. It was the girl's fault for leaving instead of staying with us. Whatever happened to her from then-to-now is her own fault.

What ever she did to acquire all the abuse she's been put through, I'm sure she deserved. This was probably just a parent, taking disciplinary actions against their daughter. Now, she'll have learned her lesson, and she'll never do it again. This is all highly unnecessary—but they are under suspicion of making and selling drugs, and I guess that is actually a crime.

Villains were trying to block our path as we all ran, clustered in a group, to the entrance—successfully thinning out our group by causing a portion of the ERT and heroes to fall behind. One of the D-List Extras told us Main Characters to go up ahead, while they stay behind, so we ran into the building.

"Hate to just barge in like this, but we're kind of in a hurry." Fat Gum started, announcing our presence to anyone inside the building. "Haven't seen signs of suspicious activity, yet..."

"Same here, but hey, we're in it now, we've got no choice but to see it through."

"Is it possible that somebody leaked our plans for the raid? There must be a reason they all came pouring out like that..." Tamaki questioned.

"No, if there had been a leak, I think they would be fighting more cohesively. Groups like this are used to working together." The captain of the TMPD spoke, answering Tamaki's question.

"There's nothing that matters more to these guys than their bond to their boss and their brothers. Being a part of the underworld only makes loyalty that much more sacred to them." My teacher added.

What's the sense in that? If I were a part of the underworld, I'd use everyone around me until I got what I wanted, then I'd kill the loose ends.

"All those people outside, and we haven't caught sight of the top brass, yet. They're probably underground hiding or getting ready to flea..." Mr. Aizawa continued.

"How's that supposed to be loyalty? Forcing their henchmen to fight for them while they run away isn't manly at all." Kirishima angerly pointed out.

I think it makes perfect sense. They're just henchmen, so who cares? It's not like they have any significance. They're expendable. Background characters.

Night Eye stopped abruptly in front of a plant pot, inside an indent in the wall. It looked completely normal.

"This is it."

What?

How?

"There's a device here that opens a hidden passage"

He spoke answering the question I had yet to ask.

How did he know, though?

"You press down the floorboards in a specific order, and then..."

The wall shifted and opened, creating a doorway, revealing a staircase going downwards.

"Cool! It's like a ninja hideout!" Bubble Girl beamed in awe and excitement for what was to come.

"Thank goodness for your quirk, sir." Centipeder praised.

How did they both know it was Night Eye's quirk?

Was it that obvious?

"Guards up, we don't know what we could be facing in there."

As if on que, a group of villains emerged from behind the door. Bubble Girl and Centipeder took care of the three and restrained them, before instructing us to keep moving.

Heeding her instructions, I followed after Night Eye and the others downstairs, and we began to make a B-line for the room the girl was in. Stopping, we came to a dead end.

A wall.

A wall was blocking our path. Mirio walked up to the wall—hearing the annoyed and anxious voices of the heroes and police—and used his quirk to see through the wall. He had confirmed that there was, in fact, a hallway where we had thought there had been one, but that it would be hard to break the obstacle.

Luckily, we had me there. I jumped up in the air—along-side Kirishima—and punched the wall in. The heroes praised Kirishima and I, but I obviously did all the work. I would have said something, but Kirishima was already angry with me, so I decided to hold my tongue.

We continued moving, when suddenly the walls began twisting and warping. The heroes began bickering and trying to identify the quirk at hand and whom it had belonged to, while I tried to keep my balance.

Tamaki was beginning to panic and spit out nonsensical pessimistic phrases like 'we're going to die' and that 'Chisaki would escape with the girl'. I personally don't see the issue with him taking the girl.

He's only under suspicion of manufacturing and selling drugs, so if he really has done nothing wrong, he'd probably want to take his daughter and run. Imagine how frightening it would be to have a group of heroes and police officers trying to search your house.

You see, you really have to look at the other person's perspective.

It's called having an open-mind and empathy to those around you.

What can I say, I guess I've always been this nice and empathetic to people.

Mirio had to console Tamaki and help him feel better, slowing down our pace. Tamaki is so annoying and selfish sometimes, making us all wait for his pessimistic-ass.

"They can warp the path forward if they want, but as long as we know the direction of our goal, I can still reach it!" Mirio spoke with determination pouring from his voice as he began to walk forward, despite Night Eye and my protesting.

"Lemillion!" Night Eye spoke,

"Come back!" I added.

"Speed is what matters right now! Those guys know it too. I'm going on ahead!"

I watched his back as he ran through another wall in front of us, leaving us all behind, before the floor caved in underneath us. In the new room, there stood one man. The man I had been hoping to see all along.

Sitting on a purple couch, not looking bothered in the slightest, was my brother.

Izuku.

I was waiting for what seemed like an eternity before the heroes were above the drop spot. The original plan was that the first round of Nomu would be dropped into a room with me and I'd take care of them—without the worry that I'd hurt anyone—of course, I knew there wouldn't be any Nomu.

I guess Mimic adapted to the new truth faster than I'd thought he would. The truth that in actuality, the heroes were the only ones here. Not the League. At least, not yet.

I looked around the room, and sighed.

I wish it were only Izumi here...

"Damn, I was hoping for only Izumi to be here. Do you mind leaving us? I'd like to have a brother-sister reunion with my sis over there. Mom, could you leave to, you're not welcome in our little reunion." I spoke as I began to sit up. "I'd like to catch up with you once Izumi's dead." I chuckled darkly as I grinned sickly at Izumi.

"You're Agony, the kid who murdered All Might!" Rock Lock spoke, as he began to get into a fighting position.

It was obvious none of them would leave, but I really want them all gone.

"Fine... Yo, Mimic, would you be a dear, and get rid of all these people for me, I want to talk with my sister!" I shouted quickly while turning on my quirk ghost to block the attacks headed my way.

Of course, my mother would be the first to make a move, rushing to kick me down, and failing.

"Izuku, I need you to turn yourself in!" My mother screamed at me as her leg went straight through my body. "What the?-"

Before she could finish her words, the floor opened up again, sinking the heroes even further down in the building, leaving me with my sister. I saw a smirk on her face as she realized we were now alone.

"Good, now I can kill you in peace!" She screamed as she lunged at my—still transparent—body, flying right through me.

I wanted to save my Energy Whips for when I really need them, because this isn't the only fight I have on my agenda; however, I won't have the power to kill her unless I were to let her hit me at least once.

Deactivating Ghost, I prepared for her kick to collide with my back, when I felt an impact on the left side of my face. My Shock Absorption absorbed the impact of both hits, so it didn't hurt, but I was still confused.

I thought we were alone.

I peered to the source of the punch and my eyes landed on a red haired boy.

Kirishima.

"What the hell? I thought your quirks were those green whips and the ability to pass through objects? Don't tell me you have some sort of Power Absorption or something..."

"How'd you get here?" I asked with a smile, once again turning Ghost on, allowing a couch to pass through me and hit Kirishima.

That's right!

I keep forgetting Izumi has another quirk...

The couch dropped to the floor, revealing Kirishima's hardened body.

"Nice reflexes, by the way..."

"I might hate Izumi's guts, but I would never leave a fellow classmate alone with a powerful murderer " He started. "That's so unmanly!"

"Hmm... You certainly seem like the hero type... I'll let you live because of your chivalry; however, I'll still need to hurt you." I sighed before laughing.

I flew forwards with Ghost before letting my fist impact with Kirishima's chest, using all the power I had stored from both of their punches. I knocked the wind out of him and he stubbled backwards before falling to the floor. He began coughing up blood.

Maybe I hit him a little too hard.

Oh well.

I turned my head back to where Izumi had been standing, only to realize she had gotten away through all the commotion.

Dammit.

She really just left her classmate—alone—with a known murderer.

What a bitch...

I looked back at Kirishima, to see him starting to get up. I was about to leave and look for Izumi, when the door burst open. There in the doorway, stood two girls. I recognized one of the girls from the sports festival this year.

Uraraka Ochaco.

She came in the top-sixteen this year. I commend her for actually fighting Bakugou Katsuki and almost winning.

The girl next to her had periwinkle hair and blue eyes. Her hero costume looked relatively similar to Uraraka's—except it was a blue-ish-green, rather than Uraraka's pink and dark-aqua costume.

They noticed Kirishima and almost immediately, Uraraka ran to him, while the other girl ran at me. She put out her hands, and from them, a spiraling, golden light began traveling my way.
