《That Day // Villain Deku》Chapter 11 : I Know When...

I felt the wind burn my face as I flew through the air. Adrenaline was coursing through my veins.
It felt amazing.
I was flying home after taking care of a loose end.
"P-please! I PROMISE I WON'T TALK!" The man screamed, covered in blood.
I glanced down, with a look of pure insanity, pulling out a gun from my pocket and cocking it. Laughing, I crouched down and shoved my gun in the man's mouth. Then, I fired it.
I stood up, covered in the man's blood and called Shigaraki. He picked up after the second ring and immediately asked me if it was done.
"No, I was just calling to see what's for dinner- Yes it's done!" I spoke with annoyance.
What kind of a question is that? Of course it's done!
Why else would I have called him?
He paused for a moment before sighing and continuing.
"Well good to know... I was just making sure. No need to get smart with me." By the tone in his voice, you could tell he was pissed off.
I ended the call and started making my way back home. Taking a deep breath, I relaxed and felt my body begin to float.
I floated into the bar and sat down for dinner. It's been ten weeks since I was gifted my quirks. The school year officially started two weeks ago. Ever since I got my quirks, Shigaraki and Kurogiri have been sending me on errands. To gain experience.
So, while I'm out doing their dirty work, they just sit in the bar plotting. We've been trying to find an advantageous time to attack the heroes, but it's harder than it looks. I mean, all the teachers are pro heroes, after all. Their defenses are unmatched. There are virtually no blind spots.
Interrupting me from my thoughts, Kurogiri put two plates of food in front of me. Thanking him, I began to eat. He's been giving me more food than usual to keep my energy up, as on of my quirks requires a lot of energy. While eating his steaming hot Udon, the door burst open, revealing the new recruit.
I passed through the warp gate with a limp Yagi. The sheer force of the quirks Master bestowed upon him—along with the slight modifications made to his body—was too much for him. I didn't know what quirks he had been given. All that Master had explained to me was that he had three. I couldn't help but feel jealous.
Why does he get three quirks while I only have one?
I suppose it's fair in the long run. Since I will be obtaining Master's quirk when he can no longer. I am his successor. Not Yagi.
Gently, I rested Yagi on his bed. His room is still bare. The only things he did were paint his room black and 'buy' a black bed cover. Other than that, his room is completely bare.
I walked to the bar and spoke with Kurogiri. He seemed nervous when I told him Yagi was gifted multiple quirks.
"He has three quirks?" Kurogiri frantically asked me.
"Yeah, why does it matter?" I squinted my eyes and solidified his words.
He thought for a moment and then spoke his mind.

"I'm worried for him..." he stated.
I looked at him in confusion.
Why would Kurogiri be worried that Yagi has three quirks?
He thought for a moment before continuing.
"Quirks can change a person. The more power he gets, the less likely he will be the same person we knew." He explained to me.
Yagi???
Different???
"How different could he be?"
"It's hard to say. We'll have to wait and see."
Kurogiri and Yagi weren't as close as he and I were, but I could tell they still cared for one another.
Putting the thought of a different Yagi out of our minds, we decided to do some training.
I woke up in my bed feeling depleted and weak. Spewing more swears than a sailor, I stood up, ignoring the pain and tiredness surging through my body. I slowly walked to the bar, looking for signs of life, but saw no one.
"Dammit... Where does Kurogiri keep the leftovers..?" I asked the air.
I went to the fridge and attempted to open it. That's when I saw it...
"What. The. Fuck. Kurogiri?" I though out loud.
"WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU PUT A FUCKING LOCK OF THE GODDAMN REFRIGERATOR?!?" I shouted in annoyance.
Who the fuck locks a refrigerator?!? Who hurt your Onigiri, Kurogiri? Like what the hell are you afraid of? A hero breaking into the base to steal your left-over Katsudon?
I groaned in anger and went back to my room. If I can't eat here, then I'm going to go out. I grabbed my hoodie, mask, and wallet. Can't leave the base without concealing my identity, now can I?
Never know who you'll bump into, right?
Leaving a sticky note explaining my struggles, I left the base.
It was raining outside, so it wouldn't be out of the ordinary to see a man with a black hoodie on. 'I was just sheltering from the rain...' I chuckled at the lame excuse and continued walking to a nearby Yoshinoya dine-in restaurant. I used to come here on my birthday. Even though I was alone, it was still fun. It was also cheap, so I could afford it...
I sat down at one of the wooden tables further from people and ordered a beef bowl. It was really good. I haven't eaten here in almost a year, so I guess I had forgotten how good the food was... I was eating like an angry wolf. I finished my food in less than five minutes but I was still hungry, so I ordered a bowl of miso soup and white rice.
While I was waiting for my food, I heard two voices that used to scare me to my core.
"I used to love this place!"
"They don't have soba, so I don't come here often..."
"You should try something else, maybe you'll like it..."
I looked up and turned my attention to the voices. There, in all their glory, stood Bakugou Katsuki, Todoroki Shoto, and my sister. I looked down and sunk deeper into my hoodie, trying to ignore their presence. I don't have the self-esteem for this today. I got my food and ate it as fast as possible. The sooner I eat and pay, the sooner I can leave.

"We're going to Izuku's grave after this, right?" Todoroki asked, making the table go quiet.
Why would they go to my grave? I thought as I ate.
"Yeah, we got into U.A, after all. This was Izuku's dream. I don't know about you guys, but I got into U.A for Izuku. I want him to know I did it. For him." Izumi said, with a sad smile.
She got into U.A for me? What a load of bullshit. I had to stop myself from laughing at her shit. She doesn't have the right to say that. Not after what she did... I asked for the bill, payed and walked out. I glanced at the three bitches and saw Todoroki looking at me. He looked like he could tell it was me, just by seeing my eyes. His voice went dry, evoking reaction from the other two. They looked at him weird before turning their attention to me. I quickly whipped my head around so they couldn't see my eyes and walked out the glass door. God I hope they didn't notice me...
I walked out of the restaurant and felt three pairs of eyes on me as I passed the window. If they figure out I'm alive... I shivered at the thought of my 'family' confronting me.
Navigating through the sea of people running from the rain was annoying. I was so annoyed I decided to venture through alleyways. Shigaraki has helped me navigate the alleys before, so I knew where I was going. As I was getting deeper into the alleyways, I heard an ear piercing scream from an alley I passed. I glanced in and saw a pro hero and a man. The man was dressed in black, baggy pants and a black tank top. He had a compartment with visible knives attached to his torso and a large sword on his back. Red and beige ribbons were flowing from his head and neck. His sword was pointed to the neck of a pro hero who I recognized as Air Jet.
"NOOOO! HELP! ANYONE HELP-!" He screamed in vain before the man's sword impaled him.
I watched in awe as blood shot from Air Jet's neck like a broken fire hydrate. The man noticed me and started walking towards me. He was about to impale me, when I dodged and jumped back.
"Hey dude, I won't tell I swear! He was a shitty hero anyway." I said the last part quietly.
He squinted as I spoke, and put his weapon away.
"The names Yagi Izuku" I said as I leant against a nearby wall, extending my hand.
"Stain."
"The Stain??? Like, the Hero Killer Stain???" I asked him with excitement and astonishment.
"Yeah" he grunted in response.
I frantically reached for my bag, only to realize I didn't bring it.
"Dammit..." I cursed under my breath.
"What?" He asked, reaching for his knives.
"Something wrong?" He continued, with a menacing tone.
"No, not really... I just forgot my notebook..." I replied annoyed.
"Notebook?"
"I wanted an autograph." Embarrassment leaked from my voice and facial expression.
Can't blame me though, he's like, one of my heroes. He's killing those fake heroes that claim to help us. He's killing those fake heroes that abuse others without a second thought. He's killing those damned villains posing as heroes.
He started walking away and I followed. He's really cool, I want to learn from him...
"Hey, I was wondering, how did you learn to throw knives with such accuracy?-" Before I could finish my thought, he pulled out his sword and put it to my neck.
"What? I want to be just like you..." I said with a smirk.
"What are your morals?" He snarled at me.
Oh... I see now.
"I want to cure this world of the 'heroes'. They're all in it for money and fame. They don't deserve the praise they get. They don't deserve to be called heroes. None of them do" I replied with venom as I spoke of the heroes. They're all full of it.
He thought for a moment, then he sighed and spoke.
"You want me to train you, right? I assume that's why you asked how I learned to handle knives."
My eyes light up and I felt a surge of happiness flow through me.
"Really? You'll train me???" I asked like a little kid who was just given a new toy.
"Yes."
The kid hasn't woken up yet. It's been a week since he first fell unconscious. Kurogiri and I were so worried we went to see Master, and ask him ourselves if there was something wrong. These quirk transferences can go wrong sometimes. We had just finished talking to Master, so Kurogiri opened a warp gate back to the base. I decided to check on the kid, but he wasn't there. I frantically looked for him all over, but he was nowhere to be found. Panicking, I went to see Kurogiri.
"Have you seen the kid?"
"He's not in his room?" Kurogiri asked, a hint of worry lacing his words.
Just then we heard the door open, revealing a drenched Yagi. Not only was he wet from rainwater, but he was covered in blood. After Yagi entered the base, a man who looked to be in his thirty's walked into the base. He was covered in more blood than Yagi.
"Yagi, where have you been? Who's this guy?" I asked suspiciously.
"Well, Kurogiri..." He paused and glared at Kurogiri.
"Kurogiri, put a damn lock on the fridge... so I went to Yoshinoya. Then on my way back I ran into Stain." He said and gestured towards the man.
He's acting like a completely different person. I thought.
"He said he'll train me!"
Stain has been training me for the past nine weeks. I was sitting eating my Udon when the door burst open, revealing our new recruit.
"Have you guys figured out when you're gonna attack my school?" They asked. It was obvious they wanted us to say no.
"No, your school isn't that easy to infiltrate..." Shigaraki answered with venom.
The new recruit gulped before continuing.
"I know when you should do it..."

Puppet Lord
In the year 2142, humanity’s technology has developed to the point of cybernetic and neural implants. People all have neural receptors attached to the brains, allowing for unfettered, 24 hour a day, global access to the neural net. A string of attempted break ins to a secure facility has authorities scratching their heads. Every few days, a new person is caught trying to force their way through checkpoints, reinforced doors, and cyber security. None of the perpetrators have any criminal history, and all are seemingly unconnected. Their methods are random, and worst of all, none of them have the foggiest idea why they there in the first place. Detective Jon Peld finally finds the common thread linking all the perps together, a vr mmo known as Istrius. Mind jacking is an outdated crime, one thought to have been completely eliminated centuries ago as the neural implant tech was perfected, but all the pieces fit. He can't convince his boss though, so there's only one thing left to do: investigate from the inside.
8 124Bleached Nightmare
500 years into the future, technological progress has stagnated. Wracked by a series of problems like climate change, lack of resources and the innate human lust for war, the geopolitical landscape of planet Earth is radically different, and quality of life is far from what it was in the past. While technical development and research into realistically feasible space travel has made leaps and bounds, this has come at the cost of a world that is reeling from centuries of technical stagnation in other aspects of life. The establishment of a mining colony on Mars has led to the discovery of a new, rare material called sarinium; though it is extremely tensile and durable, it has a very low melting point. The discovery of this metal leads to large mechanical infantry- dubbed 'Spirit Striders', they are six to ten meters tall and as famed for the pride they provide a nation as they are a lethally mobile heavy weapons platform. The story follows the character of Marilin, who must both figure the enigma that is her past, and what this means for her allegiances in the future. Despite her genetically physical frailty, she seeks to gain power through a vessel that will channel her wish to change the world- the Spirit Strider. --- I hope you all enjoy my work. This is a story that I began writing over four years ago in my beginning years of high school, and have cast aside unfinished in the past two years. Though it is not up to my current standards, I hope you all may find some enjoyment in it. Happy reading.
