you gotta fight for what you believe in

at the abandoned ballet for a moment too long, the eerie feeling radiating from the building before her as if pure evil was lurking within, and it most certainly was.

Gaining courage, Clary took a deep breath before starting forward, running towards the danger, as usual. She wasn't afraid to fight James and she certainly wasn't scared to die. But, she wasn't going to allow herself to die, not when she should be living for her friends.

As she neared the rickety building, hearing it creak lightly against the harsh wind, the eeriness only increasing. The shutters slammed against the brick walls due to the harsh wind.

Taking another deep breath, Clary stalked towards the door, walking on the balls of her heels, knowing that one hell of a fight was about to happen, and she knew she wasn't gonna go down easily. She was going to fight with everything in her.

She threw the door open, her eyes hard and cold. "I know you're here!" She shouted, her voice echoing through the cold, empty room. The tall walls appeared to cave them in, leaving the hybrid trapped between their own reflections. The mirrors surrounding her seemed to swallow her whole, leaving her not knowing which way to look especially due to the fact that James had no heart best that she could track. "Come out!"

"I'm here." His voice echoed from behind her. She turned around, her eyes ablaze. "I'm everywhere." There was a big breeze that pushed past her, sending her red hair flying everywhere.

A beat passed when the vampire took a few steps forward, showing himself, his crimson eyes seemingly glowing in the moonlight. He was holding a camera up to her, a wicked grin set on his features.

"What? You trying to be kinky or something?" Clary asked sarcastically, ignoring the camera as it was shoved in her face.

He chuckled darkly and licked his lips. "I'm going to make a little film of our time together. I borrowed this from your house, hope you don't mind," he said mockingly and turned the camera on, grinning. "And action!"

Clary growled and swiped her hand at him, her nails making a screeching noise as they slid down his chest, ripping his shirt in the process. Sensing his surprise, she clenched her hand into a fist and flung it at his jaw before kicking him in the chest harshly, sending him reeling back in shock.

"Excellent!" James shouted in glee as steadied his body, his lips pulled upwards in amusement. "Amazing! Who knew that you were a monster underneath all that flaming red hair, I sure didn't."

Clary's eyes glowed gold as she let out a snarl. She snapped her teeth at him and kicked his knee so hard that it made a loud 'pop' noise that echoed through the room. He let out a painful howl as he fell to the ground, losing his grip on the camera that went flying across the floor.

Clary quickly whipped out a can of pepper spray that Charlie had given her, and sprayed James in the eyes before sending a kick to his head.

Before Clary could do anything else, his hand wrapped itself around her ankle before she felt herself go flying through the air.

He had hurled her across the room, resulting in her body slamming harshly against a mirror which shattered from impact.

Clary groaned as she sat up, yanking a fairly large piece of mirror from her thigh. She stood up quickly, not caring about her leg which was already healing itself.

"Beautiful!" James grinned sadistically, but it was soon wiped off of his mouth when Clary narrowed her eyes and muttered a spell under her breath, sending James flying across the room, his back hitting a pillar harshly. A loud crack was then heard before he roughly fell to the ground.

"You will pay for all those people you killed!" Clary shouted, her eyes glowing more brightly and she stood tall, her jaw clenched in anger.

"Wonderful..." James trailed off as he stood up, a look of wonder on his face. "A witch. I haven't had a witch in decades."

Clary cracked her neck and grinned. "I guess it's a good thing that I'm not only a witch then." She raised both of her hands and twisted them, making James' bones — or in his case — skin crack and break.

"Stubborn, are you?" He grunted out before Clary doubled over, missing the piece of glass James had in his hand — he had just thrown it at her. It embedded itself in her collar bone.

"Ah!" She struggled as she stumbled back, trying to rip out the glass when James was suddenly in front of her.

"You have officially succeeded in annoying me," He snarled, glaring at the red head.

"I take pride in that," Clary spat before she slammed his body into a glass mirror, it shattering on impact.

Clary ducked under the vampire's fist and slammed her own against his stomach, muttering a spell at the same time, sending him reeling back with a great force. But, this time, he caught himself before he could be thrown at the wall again.

James growled in anger and grabbed the fist that she was about to throw at him, and crushed it with his, feeling the bones pop under the force, something he found in great satisfaction. He grabbed her and slammed her against the mirror, then again, and again, and again, scrambling her ability to even think.

Even though she was a wolf, crimson liquid fell from her mouth, down her chin and neck, and her head lolled to the side slightly. She was very dizzy. She was covered in cuts that was slowly healing because they kept being re-opened with every hit that James kept sending her way.

Getting tired of being thrown around like a rag-doll, she put all the force she could muster into a kick that sent James stumbling back a few feet. She then launched herself at him, throwing punches and kicks left and right at him, and although the hits were breaking every bone in her body, she didn't mind because she is used to it due to turning every month.

Finally growing tired of the red head and becoming angrier by the second, James threw Clary across the room, her body slamming against a wooden door, the wood shattering around her. A piece even embedded itself through her stomach, making her chock on her own blood.

Becoming too weak, she applied pressure to the wound, her heart beating too fast for any possible person.

James stalked over to her and grabbed the piece of wood in her stomach. "You have definitely put a kink in my plan, sweetheart." He twisted the wood in her stomach, making her cry out in pain. Her eyes were blurry as the pain overtook every part of her being.

Soon, the weight on the wood disappeared and she heard someone else's voice, and there was more fighting noises. Though, Clary didn't mind when visions of everything terrible that happened to her, started playing in the front of her mind.

Her boyfriend... Klaus... Hayley... Jo... Enzo... and everybody else that she had lost in her short life span. All the torture she was put through because she was either close to the Scooby Gang or the Mikaelson's...

"Clary!"

Clary gasped, her eyes opening, allowing her to see blurry figures everywhere. She looked down at her stomach and screamed, yanking out the piece of wood from her stomach.

Breathing heavily, she laid down and sucked in a huge breath before closing her eyes, allowing the darkness to enter her mind.
