I don't think I'll ever get tired of these two, they're so amazing. Also, I've started to like doing songfic, since I listen to a lot of Jpop though its hard to find inspiration in english music.
As such this songfic features a song in japanese. The romanji lyrics are in italics the english translation is in [brackets]
The song is "Aikotoba" by Miyazaki Ayumi and AiM
I used the shortened version used as the fifth ending for the Digimon Tri series, cause the original is way to long.

White rolled over in the bed she was laying in, looking at the wall, biting her lip. It had been almost three years now.
Aa, itsuka toki ga hanashitemo
[Ah even if time has separated us]
She remembers vividly the day that Black was taken from her, the hurt she felt. It often festered in her as she tried to push it down. The sadness and anger often stuck.
She then turned to the bedside table, looking at the Light stone as it sat there, blank, unchanging. N had helped her find it, but the question was how to get him out.

She wished, hoped, dreamed that she would see him again. She needed him, he was her everything. She didn't care how much they might've changed over that expense of time, she just wanted him here.
He wanted her here, as he drifted through an ever expanding void. Reshiram kept him company sometimes, but it wasn't the same as the boss.

[I spent the days sleeping without knowing anything,
Napping in the sun, under the trees]
Black remembered back when they had been on a journey together. He smile after he had won a match, her excitement at new opportunities for the agency, her warm embrace.

He had been so carefree back then, not savoring each moment, not reveling in the feeling. He regretted that. It had been so long, he couldn't remember what her touch felt like, what her smile looked like, he just knew that he missed them with all his heart.
He didn't know how long he had been here.
But sometimes, when he closed his eyes, he dreamt of meeting up with the boss again, hugging her, escaping this hellscape to be with her.
In his heart he hoped that she dreamed of this too.

[The two of us always share the same dream]
White picked up the stone off of the table and hugged it close to her, the cold stone draining her hopes from her, but its presence filling her hope up again, repeating an endless cycle.
She closed her eyes again, the orb bringing her comfort. Her tears leaving a trail across her face as she tried to find tranquility.
When she opened her eyes, she was in a different place, the air around her felt weird and she recognized this as a dream. The stone she held was gone, she was in a vast field, alone.

[Its reflected in our eyes]
White sat down, he eyes finding suddenly that there was a person next to her. She didn't know how she hadn't seen them, but they were here now. Her eyes roamed over them, finding the familiar blue jacket and sparkling brown eyes of the one she longed to see.
"Black...?" She cried as his eyes darted to her, widening with shock.
"Boss..?"
She found herself dazed as she looked upon him, her emotions overflowing. She could do little more than lean over and rest her head against his shoulder, sobbing into the fabric.

Black felt her tears soak his sleeve, and he thought his heart was going to burst, she missed him, just as much as he missed her.

[The fact that you're over there]
White clutched onto him for dear life, repositioning so that she was laying down with him in the grass. She felt an arm wrap around her, tightly, as if her feelings were being conveyed through him.
Kimi ga iru koto
[The fact that you're here]
He felt tears rise in his eyes as well. This felt so real. That feeling he thought he had almost lost. That feeling of embrace, was back, he wanted to savor every second of it. To memorize every sensation, but even still, he wanted it to stay so he didn't have to memorize it.

"Am I dreaming?" His voice stuttered and cracked with disuse. He couldnt believe what he was seeing or feeling.
She backed up, looking at him as her arms held her up above him, "I think we both are" she said, a bittersweet tone to it.
She cracked a small smile, pushing some hair behind an ear, and he shot back one of his biggest grins. Her heart melted, and she laughed the memory of his antics before all of this.

[We'll never change
That's what I believe]
All these year and neither of them had changed, but White wouldn't have it any other way. She lifted a hand to his face, tracing his cheek with her thumb as Black looked at her with a tender smile.
He leaned into her touch, every feeling making him that much happier, he had never been this happy in his life.
Ima mo, ima mo, zutto
[Even now, even now, forever]
She leaned over again, closing her eyes.
He leaned up to meet her, closing his as well.
Their lips met, and each of them took in the other, like they were meant for each other. Their parting would only be an instance before their next meeting.
"I love you," he said, feeling that he needed to get everything out now in this brief shared dream, "I'll find a way to get back to you, I promise."
"I'll be there every step of the way, trying to help as much as I can," she replied with a smile overshadowed by tears once again.
Aa, itsuka toki ga hanashitemo
[Ah, even if time has separated us]
She laid down on his chest, listening to his breathing. She didn't want the dream to end; not when he was this close, but she knew it was inevitable.

She would get him back, she knew she would. They would meet again someday, and then be together forever, she just had to be patient.
The feeling around her began to fade, his breathing becoming quieter and quieter.
Unmei ga hitomi sorashitemo
[Even if fate averts our eyes]
Black found himself back in the void, a new determination about him.
White awoke in her bed, clutching the stone to her with a smile.
"I love you, Black."
