Sometimes I have trouble thinking about what to write, but I find that one of the easiest ways to come up with a topic is to think about normal every day things and apply them to your characters.

In this chapter I thought about sleeping and how everyone drops their guard when they're asleep, even Green lol

Enjoy.

Yellow stretched, feeling the ache in he muscles as she woke, careful not to wake the person next to her.

They were leaned against a tree, which wasn't exactly comfortable for most, but she was used to it. She liked nature, and judging from how much time he spent out here she guessed that Green liked nature too. At least as a means of training.

She shifted a little, his head was rested on her shoulder, and she felt her arm beginning to feel a little numb, but at the same time it's not like she wanted to move him. Not when he was sleeping so soundly.

She reached her other arm up and brushed hair away from his face, revealing a tranquil look that she rarely ever saw on the man.

She smiled, when Green was sleeping all the defenses and facades he put up were gone, and she liked this side of him. Though he didn't really know about it.

Her fingers traced over his face, usually stern, now soft. It was a nice change.

He twitched a little, stirring for a moment and she froze. His body shuffled, turning more towards her, and she breathed a sigh of relief.

She rested her head on his, lightly working her fingers through his soft spikes of hair. The stone cold look he held often masked how attractive he actually was, as well as how nice he was too.

She slid an arm around him and pulled him closer to her, trying to get a bit more comfortable. If you had told her that she would end up with Green two years ago, she would've said you were crazy. His harsh attitude didn't seem nice and he appeared a lot more rough around the edges.

Now here they were, she didn't even know how it had happened, but it did, and she wasn't complaining.

Suddenly Green grunted and moved, knocking her over with a yelp. When they hit the ground Green bolted up, he stared down on her with a look of concern, or as concerned as a half asleep person could look.

"What happened, are you okay?!" He asked, his voice laden with sleep.

She shook her head, "I'm fine, you knocked me over though." She giggled.

He took a moment to process, he was very clearly still tired. He nodded, gave her a sorry, and then laid down on top of her, drifting back off to sleep.

She would absolutely be telling him about this tomorrow, because there was no way he was going to remember it.

She kissed his forehead, Green didn't often get like this, but Yellow was going to revel in it while it was here.

Not to say that Green wasn't nice when he was awake, but it has a different feel to it. If Yellow was being honest she loved both sides of him.

Soon Yellow found herself drifting to sleep underneath him. Her consciousness ebbing away.

When she woke again, she found that she could actually stretch. The weight on her was gone. She felt a hand on her back, and lifted her head groggily to find sharp jade eyes staring back at her.

"Good morning." She said happily, smiling.

"G-good morning." He said back, she could tell he still wasn't very used to being so soft with someone. But she could also tell that he was trying.

"I woke up last night and it looked like I was crushing you." He said, a faint blush dusting his cheeks as he looked away.

"Oh, you knocked me over then fell back asleep. You looked so tired, I didn't want to wake you." She said nicely.

He blush turned a darker red, "Well if I'm suffocating you then you can move me! Don't be an idiot!" He said, it looked as if he wanted to hide his face behind his usual cape, but unfortunately for him he wasn't wearing it.

"Well, I'd much rather have you crush me in your sleep than have you wake up grumpy." She said teasingly.

It had taken her a long time to get used to talking with Green, back then she wouldn't have even thought of teasing him.

"I'm never grumpy when I wake up next to you." He said, seriously.

She felt her face get a little hot, but then that was all washed away by the thought of him actually saying something like that.

She giggled a little, and Green looked at her with a shocked expression that she didn't often see.

"This is why I don't say things like that." He pouted, but she kept on smiling. And after a while, he gave a small smile of his own too.
