"Spence." JJ whispered as the nurse prepped her to start delivering the baby. Reid held both of her hands and nodded his head. "Don't let go of me." JJ said biting her lip to keep the tears from streaming down her face. Reid nodded his head and cupped her cheeks in his hands. He kissed her quickly and softly then grabbed her hand in his. "You know I won't Jaydge, you're so strong. You can do this." Reid said smiling. JJ smiled at Reid as it set in that soon they'll have their own child in their arms. "Okay Jennifer. I need you to take a very deep breath. I'm gonna count to ten and on ten I want you to push." the nurse said as JJ nodded her head. Reid cupped JJ's head in his hand while she tightly clenched the other. "One, two, three." the nurse said as JJ let out a loud moan. Reid ran his fingers through her hair as she felt the baby's head begin to come out. "Four, five, six, seven, the heads almost there!" the nurse said enthusiastically. Each number felt like a never ending millennium. JJ let out a quiet scream as Reid massaged the palm of her hand. "Eight, nine, ten. Push!" the nurse yelled as JJ groaned loudly. "Jaydge! The head is there you're doing great!" Reid said smiling holding back tears. JJ closed her eyes and squeezed Reid's hand even tighter as the next countdown began. JJ bit her lip as she pushed with all of her might. "You're almost there sweetie give me two more pushes!" the nurse said as JJ began to feel her excitement overwhelm her. "One, two, three, four, great Jaydge." Reid whispered into her ear softly as she let out quick rapid breaths. "Eight, nine, ten! Yes Jaydge! You're almost there baby!" Reid said over JJ's loud screams. Reid looked her in the eyes and kissed her hand while tracing circles on her palm with his thumb. "I'm so proud of you Jaydge. One more push. You can do this." Reid said as a tear fell down his cheek. JJ closed her eyes and let out one more push. She held her breath and waited for a cry. Reid's eyes lit up as he heard an infants cry. Reid hugged JJ tightly as tears streamed down his face. The nurse placed the lovely baby girl on JJ's chest as the two began to smile widely as tears filled their faces. "Hey baby. It's your daddy." Reid choked out softly. "She's so beautiful." JJ said sniffling. "You did amazing Jay." Reid said kissing her forehead. JJ looked into her baby girls eyes as the baby gripped her hand around Reid's pinky finger. Reid smiled at his daughter as JJ looked in his teary eyes. "You're gonna be the best dad ever Spence." JJ said smiling as Reid looked into his daughters eyes in awe. The nurse took the baby from them to swaddle her, and get her clean. Reid held JJ's hand and smiled widely. "This is all I've ever wanted Jaydge. Not only do I have the most beautiful. kind, lovable, perfect fiancée and soon to be wife right by my side, but a precious daughter." Reid said happily. "I love you." JJ mouthed. Reid kissed her softly as she wrapped her arms around his neck. "Congratulations!" the nurse said warmly, allowing Reid to hold the child. She was swaddled in a light pink blanket, wearing her FBI onesie that Penelope bought her. Reid rocked her gently and looked into her eyes. "She has your eyes Jen." Reid said smiling as his eyes filled with tears once again. JJ smiled and watched as Reid made silly faces and compared everything from her nose to her toes to himself and herself. "Hey sweetheart!" Reid whispered warmly to the bundle of joy. "Well, I'm your daddy. And that lovely lady over there is your mommy. We both love you very much." Reid said smiling to see her small mouth round to let out a yawn. He looked at JJ, who was wiping happy tears away from her eyes. He handed her the baby and put an arm around her shoulder. JJ looked up at Reid, who couldn't take his eyes off of his beautiful fiancée and precious newborn. "Are you accepting visitors?" the nurse asked as a knock on the door was heard. "Oh Spence I look like a train-wreck." JJ said frowning. "No you don't Jaydge, you look beautiful. Don't you dare ever say different." Reid said as JJ blushed. JJ nodded at the nurse and smiled down at her newborn. Reid began to cry as he looked down to see the two loves of his life, JJ and his precious newborn, Rosaline Diana Reid.
