Reid and JJ soon looked at the clock to find out that it was 1:30 am, and they were eating mint chocolate chip ice cream. JJ looked at the ground and smiled. "Spill." he said causing her to let out a quiet laugh. "It's nothing." she responded twirling a piece of hair around her finger. "If it's nothing you wouldn't be smiling at the fuzzy carpet." Reid said pointing to the old rug. "Look at us. Two grown adults watching looney tunes reruns, cuddling in our pajamas and eating a big bowl of ice cream in the middle of the night." JJ said giggling to herself. Reid shrugged his shoulders. "When was the last time you had a pajama party? The answer to that question is too long ago." he said causing JJ to roll her eyes and smile. JJ looked around the room as her eyes met the calendar. "What the hell?" she whispered running to the bathroom. "Jaydge?" Spencer asked concerned and confused. "Are you okay!" he yelled out. "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine Spence." she replied from inside the bathroom. He stood outside of the bathroom waiting for her to come out and clear up what was the matter. "Oh my God." she whispered to herself quietly, yet loud enough for Spencer to hear. He sat back down on the couch to wait for JJ to come out of the bathroom. He was scared, worried, but mostly incredibly confused about what had just happened. JJ walked back to the couch with tear glazed eyes. "Spence." she whispered trying to hold back a grin. "What is it?" he asked grabbing hold of her hands. JJ smiled and kissed him gently. "Jennifer is everything okay?" he asked as she stood up and gestured to him to follow her into the bathroom. "Spence, I'm late, and, look." she said laughing, pointing to the sink, which had a cheap pregnancy test on top of it. JJ began to cry as Spencer's face lit up with excitement. "No way." he said beginning to cry. "You're gonna be a dad Spence." she said warmly as he wrapped his arms around her. She wrapped her arms around his neck tightly as the two cried on each other. He let go and put his hands on her waist. "You're pregnant? Really!" he said smiling wide. She nodded her head as he kissed her quickly. The two hugged each other tightly. JJ was thrilled at Spencer's reaction. "Spence." she said softly letting go of the hug. "You're gonna be a great dad." she said moving a piece of hair away from his face. "What are we gonna name it? Is it a girl or a boy, wait, never mind, you're not that far along." he said running to the couch, gesturing for JJ to take a seat next to him. "Ooh! If it's a boy we could name him Albert, after Albert Einstein of course!" he added smiling widely. JJ laughed at Reid taking a seat on the leather couch. "We are not naming our child Albert." she said rubbing her stomach. "You're right, it could be a girl, how about Albertine." he said nodding his head subtly. "Spence, I was thinking more along the lines of Dylan. Or maybe Jessica." JJ said causing Reid to sigh. "Sorry Spence, but Albert is just a little old fashioned for my liking." she said kissing him on the cheek. Spencer smiled as he began to cry. "Look, Spence if the whole Albert thing really means that much to you than maybe we could-" JJ said being cut off by his soft lips. "No Jaydge, I just can't believe that we're gonna be parents."he said smiling widely. "And I'd love nothing more to raise our child with you." JJ said wiping tears away from her eyes. Reid kissed JJ, and then her stomach. "Hey buddy, it's your daddy. I love you and your mommy very much, and I can't wait to see you. You better be nice to your mommy and don't you cause any problems for her when you make your way into the world. Goodnight bud." he whispered to her stomach causing JJ to grin widely.

The Last Science [SE]
[SE has the same content as the original story, split into smaller chunks for easier reading. This story is on a temporary hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I work in healthcare and unfortunately no longer have the freetime to continue posting on a regular basis. As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, the fading town of Rallsburg stumbles upon an amazing discovery—magic itself. Faced with potentially world-shattering power, the people of Rallsburg keep the secret for themselves. Led by Rachel DuValle, a perpetually underestimated college student with grand ambitions, they seek to found a new society. The world beyond suspects nothing, but magic cannot stay hidden forever. A train arrives in Rallsburg carrying Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate. To him, magic could represent meaning for his life, an explanation for his empty existence. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. New societies bud and grow, but the people who make them up are imperfect and flawed. The story includes elements of mystery, action, crime, interpersonal drama, relationships, philosophy, sociology, politics, and much more, all centered on the perspective characters driving the tale. This is the "Scraps Edition" of the story, where the chapters have been split up into bite-size chunks (roughly 1500-3000 words), for your convenience. The prose has been edited from its original form, with some improvements, but there are no content differences from the original. New chapters will be posted throughout each week starting on Friday and appearing on multiple days thereafter, depending on the length of the chapter. Content Warning (by request): This series delves into some topics and situations which may be upsetting for some readers. In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. Please use your best judgment, and don't be afraid to take breaks and come back later. I'll still be here! [Discord] - come hang out and chat! I Am Not The Main Character
Laying listlessly on his couch, Daire recalled his favorite book. "He killed them all." That cheeky author... The last book in the series rested on his lap. Completed. While The Parents Are Away
I just thought it'd be cool if we got to see the children of the Gaang go on an adventure together. We have Linzin pre-canon, and of course lots of family feels... The adults still make an appearance here and there.
