《What's Really Hood》TWENTY-EIGHT

It's been a few days since all of us linked up together, all of us as in Michael, China, Kae, Chris, and myself. Jasmine caught a cold, and I swore to her she jinxed herself because she kept saying I was gonna get pneumonia for going out in a sweater two days ago when I discovered the car in my driveway. We're currently just window shopping at Queens Center Mall. It's my second time coming here and I like this mall a lot. It's very diverse, ethnic wise, and there's a lot of places to shop.
Fortunate for me, Dominic didn't tag along today. That saved me from being trapped in an awkward situation. Especially having to see him on a date with Tyra like two days ago and then Chris being here too. Speaking of Chris, like it's a thing of his, every time something happens between us he keeps his distance. For example, when we first kissed while he was supposed to be tutoring me over at my house, he went ghost. He did the same when we kissed on Christmas night. This is the first time I've seen him ever since then.
We eventually lost Kae when we walked past Sephora and I wasn't complaining. She kept watching Tyra's Snapchat story of her and Dominic and I swear she was doing so on purpose so I could see. She had her phone at an angle as she walked so that I can see her whole screen.
As we made our way through the mall, I kept myself in the back as China and Michael lead the way to whatever store they wanted to go to next. Chris was just a few feet ahead of me but I saw him slowing his pace, slow enough to end up walking beside me. I kept to myself as we followed Michael and China into Finishline. Michael and Chris automatically went to the men's section as China and I met up in the youth section. I sat on the bench examining the ugly sneakers they have here.
"Bad feets," China said plopping down next to me looking at the display in front of us
I nodded agreeing with her, there were a bunch of flights and random grade school Jordans on display. I wasn't feeling any of the colorways.
She cleared her throat "So."
I looked at her signaling her to go own with what she was saying but she kept staring at me. I shook my head and looked away wanting to laugh.
"Trinity you know exactly what I'm about to say." She said rolling her eyes
"Then say it," I said with a touch of humor in my voice
"You and Chris girl, wassup with yall?" She nudged me a bit grinning "You ever told him how you felt?"
"No, I don't have the guts to," I said shrugging kicking my feet
"Do yall even talk?" She asked with her brows knitted
"No, last time I talked to him was at your Christmas dinner."

I didn't want to tell her about the kiss we shared that same night, it didn't feel right. Not that I'm not comfortable with China, it's just that, I really don't know honestly.
"Babe," Michael called from across the store
China and I looked over at him as he nodded towards the exit of the store. We both got up and followed Michael and Chris out of the store to the next one. China caught up to Michael and held his hand as they made their way over to the escalators.
"We're going to the food court," Michael announced speaking over his shoulder
"I'll text Kae where we're at." I heard China say
Damn, I'm lonely.
I sighed as we went down the escalators to the food court. At the top of the escalator, I got the view of the whole food court and it was packed and loud. As soon as we stepped off the escalator to find seats, I immediately felt eyes shooting daggers at me. The hairs on my neck stood up and I got the same feeling as I did back at Olive Garden. My guard will be up until we leave this mall, that's for sure.
Chris nudged me in the side making me look up at him "You good?" He asked growing concerned
"Yeah I'm fine, I just got this weird feeling."
"Oh aight, I just saw you get mad tense outta nowhere."
We found a booth that'll fit all of us including Kae as we all took a seat. The feeling never left me, making me look around in the food court for any familiar face.
"Guess who I fucking saw on the way down here China," Kae said storming over to us sitting down with a small bags from Sephora and Mac
"Who?" China asked undoing her scarf that was tightly wrapped around her neck
"Mimi!"
"The one who boyfriend got shot on Christmas Eve?" China asked
"Oh, shawty who was at Burger King that night with Tyra who tried to fight Trinity and her cousin," Michael said
"Yeah, I don't even know why Tyra continues to talk to that ho, she mad ugly."
"Since when you got beef with her?" China asked confused
"Since she was throwing subs on Instagram and Snapchat like," She said rolling her eyes and flipping her hair "I'll smack that bitch for looking at me sideways, is she dumb?"
"Kae, relax. You're getting loud and drawing attention to us." China said in a soothing tone trying to calm Kae down
But from the looks of it, Kae is getting more and more riled up. It was quite entertaining to see.
"Ima get something to eat." She announced getting up from the booth and walking away
She then disappeared and China started scooting out of the booth too, pulling Michael along with her "C'mon baby, I'm hungry."
Not until she was a few feet away from the booth, she turned looking at me with a smirk tugging at her lips. I rolled my eyes mentally at her, she thinks she's slick. I sat back in my seat looking around, uncomfortable.

"Trinity, you'll be fine. Relax." Chris said resting his hand on mine
I pursed my lips together watching his hand rest on mine. His hands were warm and it calmed my nerves a little bit. He then put his arms around me, pulling me closer into him. I looked up at him as he gave me a small reassuring smile.
Walking out of the mall, all I had was Chris on my mind but then I heard several heavy footsteps running up behind me, but before I got the chance to turn around, a forceful push to my back caused me to be on my all fours in a pile of snow.
"So wassup bitch? You think I wouldn't remember your ass with that slick ass mouth?"
"Bitch, what the fuck!" Kae yelled
All I saw Kae's small feet in her Ugg boots scurrying to my side before I was being pulled up on my feet by Chris and Michael.
"You good?" I heard him ask me but I honestly wasn't thinking about him
I felt my knees slowly bruising and my palms getting red instantly making me hiss out in pain. I brushed Chris off looking at the three females before me. It was Mimi and her friends, the same exact girls from Burger King except for Tyra. She had on a satin scarf then, and she has one on now. They all do like they knew they were gonna fight today.
"Kae back the fuck up, I'm not here to fight you I'm here for shawty." She spat nodding at me "What, you was all mouth at Burger King what happened bitch?"
"You and your goons could calmly walk away, Trinity isn't fighting yall," China said tugging at my jacket sleeve
I looked at my palms getting more and more pissed off balling them up. I yanked my sleeve from China, pulling my jacket sleeve up, revealing my wrist full of elastic bands.
"Trinity, get in your car and cool off," Chris said watching me put my curly hair in a ponytail
I stood there with my arms folded across my chest doing the exact opposite of what Chris said. He always wants to diffuse the conflict, "Swing on me, that's all I'm asking you to do." I said looking dead at her
Mimi hesitated to step up so one of her friends did instead "I'm not leaving here until someone fight so I guess ima just have to pop on you."
"Who even are you?" I asked confused scrunching my face
"Tianna, The bitch that's gonna beat your ass so let's go."
"I want Mimi, goodbye," I said dismissing her and looking at Mimi
She has some nerve to waste my time and start a fight, not even fighting her own battle.
A white liquidy substance landed on my jacket and I instantly saw red. She spit on me.
"Trinity, oh my god!" Kae yelled from next to me getting rowdy "This. Bitch. Just. Spit. On. You. Beat. Her. Fuck. Ing. Ass. Right. Now!" She Yelled clapping with every syllable
Trinity snapped as her fist instantly came in contact, colliding with the random girl's jaw. Tianna was caught off guard but instantly started throwing wild punches. Trinity blocked most of her hits and pulled her by her jacket hood, hitting her in the head at the same time. They ended on the floor which gave Tianna the advantage. She was winning until Trinity managed to get on top of her giving plenty of blows to Tianna's face and head. Trinity's friends started cheering her on, causing her to hit the girl even harder making her face bloody and bruised.
Mimi then jumped in realizing her friend was losing to Trinity. She attempted to pull Trinity off but Trinity wouldn't budge. When Mimi couldn't pull Trinity off, she started pouncing on Trinity's back.
Kae hopped up pulling Mimi away from Trinity trying to fight Tianna. She gave a hard blow to Mimi's face following up with a couple of punches. She then pulled Tianna away from Trinity so Trinity can get the chance to get at Mimi who's currently holding her nose crying out in pain on the floor.
A crowd slowly started to form around the six girls fighting each other. People had their phones out randomly screaming 'Worldstar' acting rowdy and going insane.
Kae jumped on Tianna's back as she fell face first in the snow. She started to straddle on her back punching her in the head while at the same time having a tight grip on her hair, that was no longer protected in the satin scarf, making sure she eats the snow. Kae looked to her left and saw Trinity holding hers down but then the third girl punched Kae in her back causing China to jump in attacking the third girl as they all started fighting. It was a brawl currently happening in front of the mall parking lot.
"Yo, they're calling the cops! We out!" Someone yelled and everyone started scattering in different directions except for the girls fighting, Michael, and Chris who were now trying to break the fight up
With the help of a few random men, Chris and Michael finally got the girls to stop fighting. They took off running, but Trinity ran back to the scene and kicked Mimi in the face while she was on the floor still, and started to run back to where her friends were towards their car.
"Chris, get the keys from Trinity and drive her to China's house!" Michael yelled as he saw mall security in the distance
Trinity fished in her jacket pocket for her keys and tossed it to Chris. He unlocked the doors as they both hopped in and raced out of the mall parking lot.

A Demon's Tail
He was born in a dark place, in a world where souls were traded like coins and a person's life wouldn't amount to much. A world where a single misspoken promise could rip you to shreds. On top of everything, his only soul was acting up and mocking him! It couldn't get much worse in his opinion... ——————————————————————————————— Reading Order of the Multiverse-Books ——————————————————————————————— Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently, I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf. (http://armaell-library.net/author/andur)

A Merchants Tale
Legends rise. Country’s fall. Empires wage war. But what supports these great powers, allowing them to function as a single organism. Is it the common man, Farmers and Millers forming the backbone of the land? The Soldiers and Guards keeping public order? The Wives and Widows supporting from the side-lines? The Nobles from their seats of power? Or the elusive Sorcerers who wield power untold? And what maggots crawl in this great creature, all trying to get a piece of its slowly decaying flesh. The gangs of the Underworld hidden in the shadows? The Bandits and Deserters hiding at the edges, ready to pounce on any weakness? Witches and Warlocks working their dark art? Or other Nations clawing at their neighbour’s, salivating over the riches they stand to gain from another’s demise. There is one group that belongs to neither group. They thrive on others misfortune and bring with them salvation and destruction in equal measure. They can raise a kingdom up or tear it down screaming and kicking. These are the merchants, the lifeblood of kingdoms, because what is the one thing above all else men crave. Is it Love? Power? Destruction? All these things can be acquired with one simple thing. Wealth. Wealth is the true power behind the world. Wealth can buy army’s, strangle kingdoms, and turn even the most devout man from his faith. Merchants come in many forms, shapes and sized, some gaudy, bleeding the people for all their worth, some tricky, preferring to make contracts and debts to trap men. And some desperate, doing all they can to sell even the most worthless of junk. This is a story of one merchant who goes against all a merchant stands for. He works not for profit but for some unseen goal, a prophesy aeons old. He comes and goes like a ghost, bringing with him hope and victory. All pray for his arrival to spare them from despair. But what about when he doesn’t show? What about the people he doesn’t save? For this man is no angel, no saint sent to save the masses. His goal was never to deliver hope. It merely isn’t time for their destruction yet. For nothing is eternal. And all things must end. But what comes after? Quick disclaimer in response to the review I got, this is my first story and somewhat of an experiment for me, hopefully my writing will get better the more I practice. Thanks for any helpful advice :)
