《What's Really Hood》SEVEN

I laid my head on his shoulder and nodded agreeing "Yeah, I have no idea what her deal is."
I peered up at him and he was already looking down at me as I was laying comfortably on his shoulder. I felt someone staring at me, but I didn't bother to look and see who it was.
"Hey Kae." Chris swerved in his seat looking passed us over at Kae but he did a double take with his eyes
I sat up clearing my throat and got up off of Michael sweeping away the invisible eraser thingy's on my desk.
"Yeah?" She answered
His eyes turned into slits "...Come sit by me." He took his bag up that was taking the seat that was next to him
As long as I've been here, no one ever sat in that seat. I folded my arms scrutinizing them both as Kae gathered her things sitting next to him giggling obnoxiously.
"Okay class." Mr. Johnson started "Take your seats and get situated. We have a new unit today so I'm going to need everyone's attention today. This is a serious and difficult unit, I need you all to be paying attention." He turned the smart board on and and plugged in his laptop
"Crap." I said
"Chris, maybe you could help me out. I know this is easy as hell for you."
I cringed. Her voice just makes my skin crawl.
I looked to my left "They're not dating right?"
"Nah."
"Cool." I answered nodding my head stifling a laugh
'''
We had like 30 minutes to spare before the period was over. Mr. Johnson let us go do group work or whatever on this new unit. This unit is such a waste of time it's ridiculous.
"There's this little gathering my bro is throwing tomorrow, you wanna come?" I looked at him "You know, get acquainted and shit." He added

"I don't know Michael..." I trailed on
"You talking about Dom's party?" Kae swiveled in her seat so fast I was hopping she'd get whip lash
"Yeah." He said looking at her
"Oh yeah, that's not her scene, she definitely wont fit in. Maybe a little Starbucks taste testing party, I dunno." She shrugged turning back around
"Grow up you immature bit-" I stopped myself
Chris and Michael looked at me in surprise.
That's not me. I never curse, or even stopped myself from cursing. I'm changing, oh god.
"Matter of fact Michael, you'll see me there." I said speaking up
"Dead ass?"
"Yep." I said sitting straight in my seat
Kaelyn gonna stop taking me as such a quiet girl. Just because I act the way I act doesn't mean I can't have fun. I may be 'posh' or whatever they call it, but I sure can party. I'll show 'em.
Chris sighed loudly throwing his bag over the black gate "You're always talking about her bro, do I have to remind you that you with Chyna?"
"It's not even like that my nigga, chill." My face went straight
I'm pretty sure my chink eyes looked like slits right about now
"Then what is it like nigga? Trinity's name come out yo' mouth way more then Chyna's." He hopped over the black gate that surrounded the whole park picking his bag up leading the way to the court
Gang and I been coming to this park for the longest, shit basically abandoned and nothing but crack heads and bud man be in here at night. It's mad sus in here too, so when we come here, we come here in the bright ass day. All types of shit be going on in here.
"My point before you try to change this whole shit on me was that you always giving Trinity the cold shoulder man. Wassup with that bro?"

"It's nothing, I just chose not to talk to her like you." He smirked looking back at me
I kissed my teeth and threw my bag over the gate.
I picked my sweats up that was hanging off of my ass and picked up my bag and the ball also "Shut the fuck up. Ion know where you tryna get at but you needa stop tryna flip the script on me dawg."
"Whatever."
"She's cool yo."
"I bet."
"She even asked me in class today if you and Kae was dating." It was now my turn to smirk
Knowing Chris, what I just said would be running through his mind all day but won't talk about it.
He knitted his eyebrows but his face went back to neutral "I saw her the other night walking home late as shit."
We both walked over to the bleachers and threw our shit down.
I dribbled the ball looking at him "Oh yeah?"
"Yeah but I was out of it, I don't remember shit we was talking about. But I do remember when I walked back into the house, Kae was waiting there on the couch just looking at me crazy yo."
"If Trinity points it out, and she only been around us for like three weeks - probably even less I think it's pretty obvious bro."
He looked at me as I checked the ball and walked over to the court "What you mean?"
"Kae got feelings for you nigga, how dumb can you be."
"I told her ass no strings attached though."
I looked at him "The amount of times yall fuck around with each other, you really believe that she wouldn't catch feelings nigga?"
"Well, yeah nigga!"
I chuckled "You're so fucking slow."
"Now that I think about it, Kae ass been mean to Trinity cus of me probably."
"That, or maybe Kae just jealous of Trinity." I said shrugging "I mean Trinity far from ugly, and she got class and could dress."
He looked at me "You sure you don't like her bro?"
"Who am I fucking at night, her or Chy?"
"Right." He said making a jump shot "It surprised the hell outta me today when Trinity was about to black on Kae. Made me look at her funny."
Looks who's talking about Trinity now
"Trinity don't seem like the one to curse or even fight with anyone. Surprised me too."
"No funny shit, I'm looking forward seeing how she gonna be looking at the party." He shot a brick and I went to get the ball "She made it seem like she about to flex on niggas." He added
A big ass smirk appeared on my face.
"I don't know what to wear Jasmine!" I whined propping my phone on my pillow pet so she could see me and my closet
"It's cold up there, so it's not like you could wear anything sexy. And it's a get together so you don't even have to wear anything all out."
"True." I said picking up a light jacket
"That's cute." I nodded in agreement throwing it on my bed "Wear something what them bitches in New York be wearing. Jordan's and tights."
"Shut up!" I said laughing
"Aight, I see that Adidas sweater sticking out, so wear that under the little jacket."
"Okay." I took the sweater off of the hanger and threw it on my bed also
"There ya' go. You could honestly wear any type of jeans and a pair of Jay's with that outfit." She patted her back smiling in triumph "With that jacket you know your hair gotta be in a bun."
"You're right!"
"I know I am." She smiled
"Trin! Come eat!"
"Jasmine I'm about to go eat, I'ma call you back when I'm done." I walked over to my phone picking it up from off of my pillow
She pouted "Okay, tell daddy I said hi."
"Okay, byeeee."
"Bye baby." She hanged up
I put my phone on the charger and ran down the stairs

I Need Time
An action, adventure, mystery and strategy story about a strong male lead. Author note: First time author, good amount of buffer chapters (over 50k words) so I will not drop this book anytime soon. This book will mostly be from the perspective of the MC. On average +5k words will be published per week. I have not chosen some of the genres and tags as I do not wish to give away parts of the story. I added the content warning tags as there will come a time for profanities, gore and maybe "traumatising" content. Though, in my opinion the content will be mild if not light. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER***** Synopsis: A college ICT student transmigrates to another world filled with magic and learns magic from a dragon. MC uses modern knowledge to develop magitech technology. MC starts his adventure using the technology he develops! Saving princesses, fighting hidden criminal organizations, learning how horribly medieval peasants live, reasoning with uneducated narrow minded people, investigating the nature of magic and searching for gods... Story review: A fantasy/sci-fi story filled with some common cliches yet presents somewhat original ideas and a few unexpected twists & turns here and there. This novel also explores a few of the commonly ignored topics concerning medieval fantasy like hygiene, culture, education(ignorance, narrow mindedness) and the fact that everybody is short because magical crops cost too much. Modern knowledge in such a setting can often times revolutionize the world if the protagonist is not an idiot or weak willed or thinks something stupid like he should not intervene in a society that systematically practices unequality of opportunity, slavery and other nasty things, of course sometimes the protagonist can be just unlucky by being enslaved, etc. In our case we are granted a protagonist who had an initial stroke of luck, learning magic from a dragon instead of struggling for years without it or randomly dieing. After that his luck goes down the drain. It is arguable whether the princess is a good stroke of luck or not, I digress. Anyway the challenges the protagonist must face will grow and no more luck or helping hands. After gaining enough power and security the protagonist will change the world for the better or at least give it a stronge push onto the right track. He will make a lot of lives better but things are never so simple and there is much more to this world than meets the eye... Missing genres & tags: Fantasy, Sci-fi, Magic. *****SPOILER*****SPOILER*****

The Card Thief of Culnivar
Deep with the cozy kingdom of Daeton, among the generation-old farmlands and villages, a young farmer’s daughter stumbles upon a dead man. His elaborate clothing has been torn to ribbons, yet his skin remains unblemished. His face is peaceful, and tucked into the hand lying across his chest can be seen a solitary playing card. He is a Ludum Haeres. The last remnant of a Summoner. Numbered among those few capable of changing their destinies. The unseen rulers of the world known as Vesperia, and one of the most powerful creatures in existence. The woman knows none of this. And so, she picks up the card... This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.

Vanisher
Joshua Hall is an intelligent and promising college sophomore. But when he accidentally witnesses Sara Wilder, a new and quirky acquaintance, receive an eldritch mark of possibility from her mother, everything changes. Josh can now see marks, eldritch symbols of power brought from another plane of existence that empower the weak and the futureless, that are invisible to most. But that's not the only thing that he's seeing, as strange dreams haunt Josh's sleep and threaten to destroy his sanity. With his mind and body struggling to handle the impossible things he can now perceive, Josh has to decide: accept a mark himself, or attempt to forget everything. This is a bit of an experimental project for me, as it isn't my norm in genre or topic. Expect: -Slow build storytelling -Character details -Foreshadowing -Dialogue driven narrative -Dynamic action scenes -Some mild graphic descriptions of injury -Sexuality is a factor -No explicit content (at least not directly) -Mild body horror -Light cosmic horror Reviews and critique are highly encouraged. I am a civil and fair responder, don't be afraid to initiate a conversation. The Traveling Dungeon
Dale had finally started to get a hold of his existence as a dungeon core. His dungeon was working, the challenges were popular, he had a large swath of texts on magic to work through, and his core was as protected as he could reasonably make it. Everything should have been perfect. Then he reached a tad too far, grabbed ahold of a new skill for the manipulation of Essence and so began his ascension to godhood! Which was a nice way of saying his soul was sucked through space, torn and shredded, and shoved into a conceptual body.ie, he appeared in the Hall of the Gods suddenly. Without clothing. This would have been simply an amusing anecdote if he wasn't then instantly yanked out of the Hall of the Gods by a person who appeared to be cos-playing a cross between a plumber and accountant. Oh, and he had a grip like iron and could freeze the other gods at will. A small detail, but a concerning one.Now Dale is forced to deal with being a God, a Dungeon Core, and act as the lynchpin in a divine universe jailbreak attempt.Oh, and of course, the Gods still have all the drama that you would expect. Naturally.
