《Rejected and Pregnant》Chapter 1

Slowly, I opened my eyes against the harsh morning light that was sneaking it's way into my room. I looked around my room at first before realization hit me like a wrecking ball. Today was the first day of senior year. My last first day of school and for some unknown reason, my heart dropped at that idea. I mean I would have thought I would be more excited, but I'm not. I'm sad. Before I know it, when we all graduate, we will all be off into adulthood.

Sighing I slowly creep myself across my room into my closet. I look around pending on the idea of what to wear. My eyes eventually landed on a cute cozy outfit that goes perfectly with today's mood. I chose a pair of skinny jeans with a rip at the knees, a white floral off the shoulder blouse, and my white van slip on. I went into my bathroom and took a quick shower and stepped out. I brushed my teeth and my hair and changed. I quickly threw my hair up into a half up half down hairstyle and applied some lip gloss.

When I was done, I went back into my room and grabbed my backpack and quickly double checked if my charger was in my bag. When I saw that it was, I grabbed my phone and headphones and made my way downstairs. Hopping down the stairs, I got the whiff of freshly brewed coffee.

Walking into the kitchen, I saw my brother Joey and his mate Monica eating breakfast together. I can't wait until I find my mate. I'm 17 years old and usually you find your mate when you're 16 years old. It's been a year and I still haven't found my mate. Mom says that my mate is probably in a different pack. Which I hope is true, otherwise the only other reason that I haven't found my mate yet is because he is dead. My heart dropped at the thought.

"Hey baby sis, excited for senior year?" My older brother says. Snapping out of my haze, I smile at him and walk deeper into the kitchen.

"Kind of. A bit sad." I admit.

"Why is that hun?" Monica asks.

"Because before I know it, we will all graduate and be adults." I cringe. My brother and Monica laugh.

"What's so bad about adulthood?" My mom's voice rings. I look at my mom in the other doorway into the kitchen.

"Oh you know, not being able to be careless teenagers anymore. Having to do taxes, jobs that are boring. No thanks." My mom laughs.

"Oh sweetie, it's not all bad." I shrugged and made myself some iced coffee and avocado toast. I sat down next to Monica and had a small conversation with her and my mom. When I was done eating, I got up and put my dishes in the sink and went to brush my teeth again.

"Morning sweetheart." My dad's voice rang behind me on my way down the stairs. I turned around and smiled at him.

"Good morning daddy." I give him a kiss on the cheek.

"Wow, I can't believe my baby is a senior in high school now. Where has the time gone?" I laughed and walked into the kitchen again with my dad behind me. My dad went around me and walked up to mom. He hugged her from behind and kissed her head softly. "Oh honey, Alpha Tom's son is coming back for his last year of school." My heart skips a beat. What the heck? Why did it do that? I hate that asshole he made my life hell.

"Okay?"

"As the Beta's daughter, the Alpha asked me to tell you that you are going to have to show him around school." My heart stopped.

"What? Do you guys not remember the torment he caused me?" I asked. My dad rolled his eyes.

"That was 7 years ago, honey. I'm sure he's changed a lot since then." I sighed and nodded my head.

"Yeah okay. You're probably right." I looked at the time and realized that if I didn't leave now I was going to be late. "On that note, I should be on my way." I gave a kiss goodbye to my family.

"Bye sweet love you!" My mom called out.

"Love you too!" I closed the door and rushed into my car. I put my stuff in the passenger seat and started the car. I blasted my music and made my way to school.

When I got there, there was only one more parking spot and that was right in front of the school office. Also it was next to this REALLY nice Jeep Convertible. It was black, sleek, and clean. I wonder whose car this is? I stepped out of my car and everyone's heads all snapped toward my direction. I swear I could hear their heads separate from their spines.

Rolling my eyes, I went into the office to get my schedule and locker number. But just as the door shut behind me, I stopped. A mouth watering smell hit me. It was a mixture of a light, clean scented cologne and old spice shaving cream. The guy in front me slowly lifted his head and turned to look at me.

A pair of light brown eyes met mine. Mate! Mate! Mate! My wolf Euphoria shouted inside my head. Then realization of who it was sat in. My mate is Alpha's son. Axel Malcolm Draven. My eyes went big. "Can I help you?" The front desk lady asked. I shook my head and smiled at Mrs. Hager. "Oh Alena, sweetheart, how are you?" She asked me.

"I am doing just fine. How are you Mrs. Hager? How's your husband doing?" I asked nicely going around Axel. Act normal. You see, our school also consists of humans, not just werewolves, and Mrs. Hager is human.

"Oh I'm doing fine dear. He's good. Surgery went well. He's at home grumpy though because he can't get back to work." She chuckled. I chuckled too.

"That's good, I'm glad he's doing great. Tell him he needs to let that leg heal before he gets back to work or he will never work again. That should scare him into healing." I laugh. Mrs. Hager laughed too.

"That just might work dear. Anyways, here is your schedule and locker number. Also you are meant to show this guy around. Alena meet Axel, Axel this is our best student here, Alena." I blush at the compliment.

"Nice to meet you Alena." Axel's deep voice almost made me shake in happiness. ALMOST. He can't know he already has an effect on me.

"Nice to meet you too Axel." I shook his hand and sparks ran up my arm and all over my body. By the look on his face, I know he felt them too. "Are you ready?" I asked him. He nodded and we made our way out of the office. Everyone outside in the parking lot kept staring at us. Even the humans.

Choosing to ignore them, I led Axel inside the building. Everyone inside also turned to look at us. The guys were glaring at Axel, not because he's next to me but because they want to be him. The girls were glaring at me, that would be because I am with Axel and they aren't. "What's your locker number?" I asked Axel.

"237." He responded bluntly. Okay then? I glanced down at my locker number and saw that I was right next to him. Locker number: 236. Great. I led us through the crowd and got us to our lockers.

"Here you are." He grunted and opened his locker and put in the notebooks he didn't need before lunch. I did the same and also put my keys and charger in there. "Can I see your schedule please?" He rolled his eyes and gave it to me. I suppressed the need to cringe in hurt and took the paper.

First Period: AP Chemistry

Second Period: English 12

Third Period: Workshop

Fourth Period: AP Calculus

Lunch

Fifth Period: Gym

Sixth Period: US Government

Seventh Period: Free

Okay so he has first, second, fourth, fifth, and sixth with me. When I looked up, Axel was already looking at me. I blushed and he smirked. "Here you go." I said. He doesn't say anything and takes it back. Before I could say anything else, someone ran into me, knocking the both of us onto the floor. When I looked at the person on me, I saw that it was my best friend Drake. I hugged him back tightly. He went to Europe with his family for the summer and I haven't seen him since the last day of school in May.

Axel growled out and pulled him off of me. I glared at Axel as Drake looked at him in awe. "Damn girl when were you going to tell me about the new hella hot guy." Drake winked at Axel. Axel looked at him hella confused. I laughed and pulled Drake away from Axel. I hugged him again.

"Drake met Axel, Axel met my best friend Drake." Axel looked at Drake cautiously.

"Hey hot stuff. Here's my number in cause you are gay and need someone to keep you company." I laughed as Axel looked horrified.

"Drake sorry to burst your bubble, but Axel is straight." Axel looks at me thankfully.

"Yeah, sorry bub." Axel said. I glared at him again. I gave him the 'be nice' look.

"Darn." Drake pouts and stomps his foot. Axel chuckled and shrugged at Drake. Thankfully, the bell rang and saved us all from this awkward silence. "Okay, I gotta get to the US Government. I'll see you later." Drake gave me a kiss on the cheek before skipping off.

"Is he human?" Axel asked me. I turned to look at him and nodded.

"Yeah, but he's really sweet and I love him. He knows me better than anyone on this planet." I said. Axel nodded. "Anyways let's get to class."

That day flew by fast and before I knew it, we were in the gym. "Alright class, today we are first going to start off with a mile warm up and then we will play some soccer." Our gym teacher, Mr. Gore said. Everyone but Axel and I grunted. I love running. It's calming and it helps me think. "Start!" Everyone took off running. I was in the lead, Axel was right behind me. Axel. I can't believe that my childhood bully is my mate. My mate. I HAVE A MATE!!!

Axel passed me and he quickly glanced at me. I smirked at him and ran faster. Before we knew it, Axel and I were racing one another. By the time we were done, everyone else was barely on their third lap. "How would you two like to join the track team this year?" Mr. Gore asked.

Axel looked at him and shook his head. I did the same. Gore looked disappointed but shook it off. "That's too bad, you're both amazing runners. Would have benefitted the team." He walked away.

Axel and I stood around awkwardly. "So mates hu?" I said. Oh shoot why did I say that? May the ground open up and swallow me now.

"Yep." That's all he says. Are you kidding me? Okay whatever boomer. I rolled my eyes and saw that everyone else was starting to finish.

"Hey baby, how are you?" I heard Axel say behind me. I turned around and he was on the phone. My heart broke. "I'm in class right now so I can't talk. I'll call you later. Bye I love you." He hung up. I turned around and pretended like I wasn't paying attention. My heart was shattered in thousands of pieces inside my chest.

When class was over, I was numb. I made my way into the locker room. I showered and changed. When I was done, I remembered I had a free period so I can go home now if I wanted. I grabbed my backpack and made my way to my locker. I put my books away and grabbed my keys and charger. "Where are you going?" Axel's voice rang from behind me.

Play it cool. "Going home. I'm done with classes so I can check out now and go home. Sense you have a free period you can too." I didn't look at him, turned around and went to the office to check out. When I got to my car, I saw my brother standing next to my car.

I ran up to him and hugged him tightly. He hugged me back and kissed the top of my head. "Hey what's wrong?" He asked when I pulled away.

"I don't wanna talk about it." He nodded. "Why are you here?" I saw Axel out of the corner of my eye.

"Dad wanted me to pick you up." Joey said.

"Why?"

"We are going to the Alpha's house." My heart stopped.

"Can't I just go home and stay there." Joey looked at me weird.

"No that would be disrespectful and you love going over there and play with Baby Anne." I bit my lip. "Come on let's go." I sighed and got in the passenger seat and let Joey drive us to the Alpha's house. When I looked in the rearview mirror, I saw the Jeep Commander following us. Oh so that was Axel's car? Why didn't I put two and two together sooner? Stupid. I rolled my eyes and got out of the car when Joey parked my car. Axel parked next to us and stepped out of his car.

"Hey man, how are you?" Joey walked up to Axel and shook his hand. They were best friends growing up. Which is good because they are both next in line to take our fathers' titles.

"I'm good, how are you?" Axel asked him back. They continued to have their own little conversation as we made our way to the front door. As we walked in, little Anne ran as fast as her stubby little legs could take her and ran right into my legs. I smiled and picked her up and tickled her belly. She giggled and I smiled. I looked up and Axel was staring at me. I gave him a blank look and went into the kitchen with Anne to see if they needed any help.

"Hey honey how was school?" My mother asked when she saw me.

"Fine. Need any help?" I asked. Luna Carol and my mom shook their heads. I nodded and sat on the bar stool. I played with little Anne there.

When dinner was ready, I put little Anne in her high chair and helped my mom and Luna carry out food onto the table. The men sat down and served their plates and us women sat down and did the same. "So Axel, have you found your mate yet?" My dad asked me. I stopped mid chew and looked at Axel. He glanced at me and smirked.

"Not yet sir, but I am dating an amazing girl from Atlanta. I met her when I was in Alpha training there." Tears stung my eyes. Monica seemed to notice because she gave me a question. I shook my head.

"Oh that's wonderful honey." My mom answered.

"How about you Alena have you found your mate yet?" I swallowed and looked at Axell. He had a blank look on his face.

"No sir I haven't." I whispered. Alpha Ronald smiled at me sadly. I shrugged and continued eating. When everyone was done, I offered to do the dishes. My mom and Luna thanked me as they made their way into the living room and the men went into the Alpha's office.

While I was washing dishes, I was thinking about what Axel said during dinner. My heart is already in thousands of pieces and now... it's not even in my chest anymore. There's just a hole there. "Hi." I looked up and saw Axel standing in the doorway.

"Hi." I whispered.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Why do you care?" I answered.

"Because you're my mate." I laugh.

"I thought you haven't found her yet?" I spat. I finished the last few dishes, drained the water, and dried my hands off. I turned to look at Axel and he was looking down at his feet.

"I'm sorry okay? I didn't think I was going to find my mate this quick. I don't even know how to break it to my girlfriend. She's going to be heart broken. And I'm not going to just say it right off the bat and make things worse for her and for you. I want to find a way to break things off with my girlfriend before I tell my dad and talk to your dad." My stature relaxed.

"Oh. I'm sorry." I said softly. Axel moves closer to me.

"Don't be. I should've been more considerate of your feelings." I shrugged. I looked down at my own feet. Axel hooked a finger under my chin and made me look at him. He slowly began to lean down and I froze. His eyes were staring right into mine as if asking for permission. I nodded.

Axel closed off the space and kissed me softly. I sighed. I kissed him back and slowly wrapped my arms around his neck. He kissed me harder and with more passion. Next thing I knew, my legs are around Axel's hips and he is carrying me into his room...

Now here I am, staring at his ceiling the next morning. Naked. Confused. Happy.
