THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Bibi ji.... Wo Noor baby..."

A maid walked towards Maria carrying a wailing Noor while she was busy preparing special dinner for Sadia dadi.

A gasp left her mouth seeing tears streaming down her daughter's eyes as she quickly rushed towards her taking her in her embrace, rubbing her back, wiping the fat tears leaking from her precious eyes.

"What happened baby ? Why are you crying ? Are you hurt somewhere ?"

"N-no..."

She shook her head, gazing at her mother with her big innocent eyes, rubbing her wet eyes to have a proper look at her mother.

"Then why are you crying Noorie ?"

Her heart calmed knowing Noor was fine but she still was confused to why she was crying when she wasn't even hurt.

"Mujhe laga aap mujhe choddh ke chali gayi mama."

(I thought you left me mama.)

Giving her a sheepish smile Noor pouted, earning a kiss on her cheeks from her mother who smiled in awe for her daughter's love for her.

"And why would I do that ? Didn't I told you that I won't leave ?"

She smiled caressing her cheeks to which Noor hummed in response, agreeing with her mother.

"Phir ?"

"I am sorry mama."

"Don't cry again. Okay ?"

Rubbing her nose with Noor's she smiled tickling her stomach making her giggle in response, calming her mother who earlier was upset seeing her tears.

"Otay..."

Smiling she nodded her head when something popped up inside the little brain of her's and she turned her head to question her mother.

"Mama ?"

"Ji mama ki jaan."

(Yes, mama's life.)

Placing her on the stool bar, she ran her her fingers through her daughter's soft curls, adoring her without breaking the eye contact, waiting to hear her demand which she was ready to fulfill not knowing her next words will stop her heart.

"I mwissed you."

Standing up on the stool she jumped, latching herself onto her mother's neck giving her sloppy kisses all over her face, having an innocent smile on her lips.

"But I was with you all the time Noorie, so how can you miss me ?"

Matching her innocent smile Maria teased her daughter waiting for her reaction which was so cute that she found herself falling for her little girl again.

"No... Say you mwissed me too."

With puffy red cheeks she demanded her mother to confess that she missed her too, folding her two little hands over her chest like a grumpy child who was greedy for her mother's attention.

"I missed you more than you missed me Noorie."

Kissing her cheeks, she found Noor grinning like a cheshire cat who was satisfied, embracing her mother hiding her face in the crook of her neck, seeking her motherly warmth.

Noor sat on the counter for hours watching her mother cook without getting bored questioning her time to time getting curious with all the variety of dishes she was preparing.

"Mama I want to see everything."

Having enough of sitting at one place she stood up and started jumping over her place eager to see the dishes her mother prepared, alerting Maria who proceeded to wash her hands so that she could hold Noor before she could hurt herself.

"Okay but don't jump you'll hurt yourself. I'll come and help you."

But Noor on the other hand was persistent to get down herself considering herself as a big girl not ready to take her mother's help to get down from the stool.

"No!!! Noor is a big girl and I don't need mama's help."

By the time she was done washing her hands, Noor had already slipped from the stool hurting herself and started wailing loudly feeling pain on her leg.

"Noor...."

She immediately rushed towards her injured daughter pulling her in her lap rubbing her back with one hand while the other was busy inspecting the injury which she might have incurred with the fall.

"M-mama it h-hurts."

Hiding her face in the crook of her mother's neck she sobbed, wetting it with her tears.

"Shhh... My strong baby don't cry. It will be alright."

Getting up from her place she cooed her daughter who's wailing now had turned into sobs and was close to fall asleep when Sadia dadi appeared stopping her from taking Noor to her room and started scolding Maria for being careless.

"You are so careless bahu. Dekhiye aapki wajah se bechari bachhi ko kitni chot lagi hai."

(It's because of you she got hurt so much.)

She not only accused her for being careless but also accused her for being the reason Noor got injured which was not much but it still hurt her for getting accused like that.

"Par dadi ammi..."

(But...)

"Bas!!! Mujhe koi bahana nahi sun'na aapka. Aapne galti kari hai. You are responsible for her getting hurt.... you could have prevented her from falling down if you would have been a little bit cautious with her..."

(Enough!!! I don't want to hear your excuses. You have done a mistake....)

She kept on scolding her while Maria just kept quiet due to respect but inside she felt her blood boiling with her accusations. Only if she wasn't her badi dadi she would have answered her in her own way.

"Bas dadi ammi. I request you to not to speak anything further. Don't accuse her of something she hasn't done. She is innocent and you know that."

Mustafa who was missing his wife found her standing in the middle of the living room getting scolded by Sadia dadi which boiled his blood hearing everything she was getting accused of. He couldn't control himself and rushed towards them handing over sleepy Noor to one of the maids before facing dadi ammi, siding with his wife who was shocked to see him taking her side, going against his favourite dadi.

"See this girl in front of you and tell me do really think she doesn't treats Noor as her daughter who is not even her blood ? I know you were angry with uncle Ali for marrying her mother but don't punish her for something she hasn't done. She is innocent."

He went on and on advocating his wife who was shocked, gaping at him for the way he was facing the hitler bravely without getting intimidated with her. So, her father was the reason badi dadi hated her. It wasn't something new but it was childish on her part to hurt her for something her father did, which did hurt her but she didn't wanted to ponder over it, knowing she will start crying if she takes it to her heart.

"Leave me please...."

She wanted to leave not wanting to hear anything and give rest to her heart which had enough of everybody's drama.

"No you are going to stand here quietly..."

Glaring at her he held her hand tightly, stopping her from leaving.

"I am sorry dadi ammi if I am hurting you with my words but I have to do it otherwise I won't be able to face my deceased uncle who loved me like my own father.... Uncle Ali was your favourite right ?"

"He is my favourite and will always remain so...."

Sadia dadi smiled remembering her favourite nephew who was no more. A tear leaked out of her eye reminiscing her memories with her Ali.

"Then how could you not love his daughter ? Why are you depriving her of love you always showered on uncle Ali ? He will be so upset to see you treating his only daughter like this. Just remember that she is your own blood, the same blood which is running in my veins, the same blood which is going to pass onto my children."

His answer left both the ladies speechless. Maria couldn't stop her tears remembering her loving father who always supported her. And today for whatever reason Mustafa supported her warmed her heart, breaking her walls a little which she herself was unaware of.

Sadia dadi on the other hand tried speaking only to see him shaking his head requesting her not to speak more.

"I...."

"No dadi jaan. Please speak when you are ready to embrace her and apologise for the things you said."

Grabbing the hand of his shocked wife he tugged her towards his room, wiping the fat tears flowing from her eyes and held her in his embrace which she accepted feeling the need to be held by someone.

"I love Noor with all my heart then h-how c-could she....."

Her voice faltered feeling the pain of dadi's words stinging her heart. Placing her head on his shoulder, he rubbed her back in circles consoling her, assuring that he was with her and won't let anyone hurt her.

"Shhh.... I know everything and am here for you at every step. I'll not let anyone hurt you."

Not even myself. Not anymore.

"I told you that she hates me and...."

Looking up she whispered with a broken voice watching him taking a deep breath cutting her in the middle before confessing something which shocked her to the core

"She did this on purpose. She was acting."

"How do you....."

Confused at first she started suspecting him when her mind started speculating, thinking of the possibilities of why they both did that.

For whatever reason it was, one thing was prominent she was hurt, very hurt. Things dadi ammi accused her of were horrible.

"Aap bhi dadi ammi se mile hue the ? Was everything you said down was a lie ?"

(You were with her ?)

Pulling herself out of his hold she hastily took few steps back accusing him with misty eyes, feeling used.

How could she believe that he was with her ? He never missed the opportunity to hurt her, he left no stone unturned to break her. She couldn't believe she let him use her emotions to fool her again and the mere thought was making her feel like a complete idiot.

"Maria...."

He tried holding her hand which she jerked off taking two steps back creating distance, not letting him come near her having enough of his lies.

"No!! Don't come near me. How could you ? I can't believe I was fooled again but I must say you are a good actor. You know you should...."

"SHUT UP!! Will you keep your mouth shut for a second and let me explain everything...."

Holding her arm he held it in a tight grasp, concealing her mouth to keep her shut for few seconds so that he would be able to explain her everything which she wasn't ready to listen. As he was about to open his mouth his eyes fell over badi dadi's reflection over the mirror as she was standing near the door watching them.

"What are you...."

A gasp left her mouth when he pulled her towards himself within a flash of a second with his bulky arm wounded around her waist, joining his hard body with her soft one leaving no space between them. He then leaned towards her face grazing his teeth over her ears, before whispering

"Dadi ammi is standing outside and I don't want her to suspect anything."

"But....."

Her words faltered forgetting what he was saying feeling him kissing her neck, turning her into a panting mess who couldn't believe she was holding onto him tightly feeling her legs turning jelly.

"I think she saw us arguing so keep quiet if you don't want her to lecture on 'ways to a good married life' and let me do what I am doing."

He whispered looking at the mirror from the corner of his eyes, using her hair as a shield to veil his face from dadi's view while he himself was easily able to see her who was squirming in embarrassment looking at them.

"But it's so embarassing..."

She whispered, with closed eyes feeling him continuing his torcher down her collarbone, curling her toes not able to hold herself.

"It's normal. She herself would have done it with....."

She gasped covering his mouth with her hand stopping him from speaking further, looking at him with droopy eyes, still caught in the effect of his ministrations.

"Don't you have any filter ?"

"Nahi... Bilkul bhi nahi."

(Nope. Absolutely No.)

He answered in a speck of second without even taking time to think, grinning at her who was panting with her cheeks tinted red, lips parted in shock, eyes wide as saucers hearing his reply. Never in her wildest dreams she ever thought that he was like that. He was shameless and it was proved. He himself proved it.

"And you are so cute jaani."

Pecking her nose, he rubbed it with his like a small happy child, with his eyes wandering off to the mirror noticing Sadia dadi went back, informing it to his wife who was frozen in his arms like a statue doll.

"She went back."

"Then leave me."

Sighing in relief she asked him to leave her which he wasn't ready, suspicious that she won't hear him out and leave hating him without hearing his story.

"No!! We still have to continue our talk."

All he wanted was to prove himself innocent, not wanting to have any misunderstanding between them.

"Leave me and I'll let you talk."

Putting on her condition she asked him to leave her, so that she could think properly and forget all the sparks she was feeling.

"You promise ?"

Unaware of the effect he had on her, he held out his his hand asking her to promise him and hear him out.

"I do. Now, leave me."

"Why are you so eager to run away when I come near you ?"

Because I don't trust my heart. I am afraid to get hurt again.

He was upset watching her eager to get out of his hold, feeling like a complete failure, his heart paining watching the girl he loved drifting away from him. Didn't she felt serene with him like he did with her ? Didn't she felt like losing herself in his eyes like he did everytime their eyes met ?

Did she really stopped loving him ?

No, she didn't. Love can be buried deep in the depths of the heart but it can never be lost.

Leaving her, he retreated his steps back and leaned towards the wall taking it's support before blurting out what he saw downstairs.

"I was not acting but I know she was, as I saw her smiling from the window's reflection when we were coming upstairs."

A gasp left her mouth hearing him. Why would she did that ? She would definitely confront dadi ammi about it. She didn't had the right to hurt someone and that too deliberately.

"But why did she did that with me ?"

"I am not her brain so I don't know what's cooking up in it."

Her question got a sarcastic reply from him who rolled his eyes seeing her eager to seek answers from him who just like her was oblivious to it, but that quickly changed when he saw her glaring at him for his sardonic reply.

"Maybe she got to know about the news of you marrying Murat first, suspecting things further and now she wanted to test us or something..... Ughhh... forget that and listen to me. I have to tell you something very important."

Maintaining a poker face he drew her attention towards her who was earlier busy thinking of possibilities behind dadi's behaviour.

"What is it ?"

"Welcome to our room jaani..."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Salam everyone,
This story is seriously tiring me up now... The response is divided up between positive and negative both. Obviously positive one is much more compared to the negative one, but that little negative is really getting to me. But me being me won't stop just for the sake of my readers who have been supportive throughout the whole journey, specially those ones who do not support Mustafa but still chose to read for the reason I don't know. Maybe they want to hear the other side of story which I always asked them to wait for, which probably will change their outlook for judging a person.
This note is to thank everybody for being a constant support.❤️❤️
Don't forget to vote and comment. It helps me to go on.😊
Till next time,
Allah Hafiz
