Mohabbat

Kafan Hai Pehen Kar Utara Nahi Jata.......

THIRD PERSON'S POV

As soon as they reached an isolated place Maria jerked her hand off Murat's who was gaping at her in shock seeing her transform into a warrior lady as she was ready to attack him any second, so he started walking fast fearing her.

"Stop right there MURAT ABRAR CHOWDHARY!!!"

Her scream stopped him instantly and he turned praying Allah to save him from her wrath.

Making an innocent face he went near her acting clueless about everything he did.

"What ?"

Her glares and the she was looking at him without blinking scared daylights out of him but he was expertly pulling out the facade of a brave man.

"Which stunt did you pulled back there ?"

Showing her his puppy eyes he asked to which she smacked his shoulder hard, making him wince and narrow his eyes, his resolve of acting innocent breaking with her glares.

"Which one, dove ?"

"Don't dove me, Murat. I am in no mood for fun at all."

His patience broke down and he answered her back having enough of her scoldings. He wasn't angry with her but it was important for him to shut those ladies who were speaking rubbish about her. Maybe she was strong girl who was able to take every insult they were throwing upon her, but he wasn't. His blood boiled when he heard them.

"Right!! Your anger is reserved for me only. If you would have shown little courage back there then I wouldn't have interfered back there."

His words made her speechless and her anger immediately cooled down hearing him.

"Murat I...."

He joked, talking about her fierce side which he saw few moments ago and asked her to learn fighting for herself from him.

"Hogayi ab bolti band. For God sake dove stop letting people step on you and show them your fierce side which I have always seen. Mujhse hi le lo thodi classes."

Ignoring his attempt to make her smile, she shook her head telling him it was wrong on his part to lie about their engagement.

"Jo bhi hua Murat tumhe jooth nahi bolna chahiye tha."

Wriggling his eyebrows, he asked rendering her shocked with his question.

"I.... Waise idea bura nahi hai. Why don't you marry me ?"

"WHAT!!! Are you nuts Murat ?"

She thought he was joking but it was proved wrong when he repeated his sentence asking her to marry him and much to her shock he was very serious about it.

"I am not. Marry me dove."

"D-do you l-love me ?"

She was scared. Scared if he really loved her. Scared because she didn't wanted to break his heart just like Hassan. She was already very guilty because of her heart and didn't wanted him to suffer at all. She would prefer to die rather than making him suffer because of her.

"Of course I do. You are my only family and my only friend so I do love you more than anyone in this world."

Her face turned pale, steps faltered with his answer. She was about to cry when he realised his words came out in wrong context and he corrected them, making her sit her on a seat and sat down on his knees holding her hand in a tight grasp.

"Ohhh!!! I don't love you in that way but I do care for you a lot."

Caressing her cheeks he gave her a soft smile to which she could only sigh in return trying to convince him.

"Pyaar to nahi hai na Murat."

"Uske liye puri zindagi hai aur waise bhi mujhe do din nahi lagenge tumse mohabbat hone mein. Tum ho hi itni pyaari."

He grinned pinching her cheeks which made her remove his hand and hold it in her's. She was serious unlike him who was taking marriage so lightly.

"What if I never fall in love with you ? What will you do then ? And please don't say that nonsense dialogue mera pyaar hum dono ke liye kaafi hoga."

Her eyes held pain which only she could understand. He was was talking about marriage like he was signing a deal and it was not okay with her. She was not okay when he himself was walking towards the dead end where there was possibly no way out.

Ignoring all her questions he himself questioned her, confusing her.

"Do you trust me, dove ?"

"Of course I do. Ye bhi koi sawal hai Murat."

"Then marry me."

He again repeated with the same intensity like before which made her cry in frustration. He was only thinking about the present but she was thinking about the aftermath. He deserved a girl who'll love him to the core, not her who was shattered and broken.

"Why are you not understanding it Murat ? It's not a joke. My life might be one but yours is not. Don't you understand it ? I DON'T LOVE YOU and you'll not be happy with me ever."

Murat was adamant to take her consent. The idea came to his mind when she told him her Abba's wish to see her married. Also, Mustafa will stop bugging her if he comes into picture. Plus, he would have his dove with him forever so, it was a win win situation for him.

"I don't care about love. But I know one thing, no one can make me happy more than you. My happiness is connected with yours. If you are happy then so am I. Aur main apni khushi ke liye kuch bhi kar sakta hu."

"Please say yes, dove."

Pleading, he squeezed her hand requesting her to say yes.

"You are a human Murat and just like every other human you'll crave for love too. You'll expect me to love you back, which I don't know if I am capable to do anymore. I don't want you to go through the same feeling Murat because, it will hurt you with more intensity."

Who else other than her would know the feeling of unrequited love ? And that's what she was fearing. She feared of never loving him back and him going though the same pain, same agony she went through. Only the thing was he won't be able to leave her, he won't have the option to move away which fortunately she had. He cared too much to leave her.

He was so good that he would accept her presence with him even if she would become too toxic for his existence.

"Nikah mein mohabbat ki taqat hoti hai aur waise bhi jab do ajnabi logo ko nikaah ke baad mohabbat ho sakti hai hai to phir hum to dost hai, hume to zaroor ho jaegi mohabbat."

His voice was gentle holding mixture of calmness and his eyes, they held determination in them. Determination to get her approval which he thought he did, seeing her sigh deeply.

"And you can't stay alone your whole life dove. Your father will try to get you hit hitched soon and you won't be able to run away from it. So, you don't have any option kyuki tum Mustafa se to shaadi karne se nahi rahi to bacha sirf main. It's better for you to marry me rather than any unknown person your family will choose for you."

He convinced her so beautifully that she agreed to marry him but there was something which was nagging, eating her insides which came out in form a promise. She wanted to secure him from her toxicity before marrying him.

"I will only say yes in one condition Murat and that will be, you'll always put your happiness before mine. You'll never think twice when it comes to your happiness, not even mine."

Her eyes were pleading him to say yes which he did in a heartbeat, with a wide grin spread across his face.

"I will. I promise. Now, say you will marry me ?"

"I will."

She smiled answering him but it instantly fell seeing him frowning at her.

"You are such a joy killer, dove. Say it properly."

"I agree to marry you Murat Abrar Chowdhury. Happy ?"

Giving him a wide dimpled smile, she patted his cheeks to which he poked her dimple, grinning back in return.

"Very."

Now I'll be able to protect you from him and chase him away from your life.

"I too want you to promise me one thing, since it's fair that I promised you too."

"And what is it ?"

His expressions turned hard to that of seriousness, when he put his promise before her

"That you'll trust me forever, no matter what happens."

"That's not even a promise cause I trust you more than I can trust myself and I know you'll never do anything which will hurt me."

She simply answered, as she knew won't do anything to hurt her. She trusted him with all her being and there was nothing which could change her perception about him.

"Just promise me."

"I promise."

His eyes sparked as soon as she uttered those two words and he stood up from his place, gently holding her hand in his to attend the rest of the function.

They both were standing before Aaqib Ahwaan waiting for his reaction after telling him their decision. He was quiet and but his intense gaze was fixed on Murat who was sweating profusely getting nervous with it.

"Abba you are scaring him."

Maria laughed looking back and forth between both of them. Murat was resembling a scared student and her Abba, a strict principal. The situation seemed too hilarious for her.

Aaqib Ahwaan finally spoke, defending himself, both father duo knowing well of his plan to tease Murat.

"WHAT!! He is planning to marry my daughter so I was inspecting if he is the one for you or not."

"ABBA!!"

He smiled giving up on his facade of being a strict father which he was not.

Murat finally breathed with relief seeing he was being teased.

"Okay okay. I was just teasing him. Now tell me when you are planning to get married."

Murat answered quickly, wanting to get married with her as soon as possible so that she would be in his protection and be away from Mustafa who was planning to make her his wife.

"Before going back. We don't want any big wedding anyways. Right, dove ?

"Yes."

Before Aaqib Ahwaan could speak anything Murat's phone rang and he met eyes with her father excusing himself, mumbling a quick apology.

"Sorry. I have to take it It's urgent but do tell me everything you decide. okay ?"

As soon as Murat left Aaqib Ahwaan smiled patting Maria's head, his eyes appearing to be misty thinking about her departure.

"So my daughter is really getting married ?"

Wiping his tears, her eyes teared up too and she gave him a small smile encouraging him not to cry.

"Abba, don't cry."

He shook his head with a small smile, blessing her and was expressing his happiness for her when his expressions changed to that of sadness, noticing the broken reaction of his son who was standing at the door of his study room.

"These are happy tears princess. I am happy for you. Murat will keep you happy with...."

"Can I talk with her ?"

Masking his vulnerability infront of his father he entered inside, all the while looking at her who was looking down. Patting his shoulder Aaqib Ahwaan nodded, giving him a small smile, his heart breaking seeing his son hiding his pain with a small smile.

"Remember she is someone else's now."

"Abba I...."

"Go talk with her."

He left leaving both of them to talk and resolve every issue before her marriage with Murat.

"Why did you say yes ?"

His voice was heavy as if he was trying to mask his emotions which were brewing inside him like a big strom, ready to destroy everything in it's way.

"It's better for both of us."

Came her short, cold reply. She didn't met her eyes with him knowing well her resolve for being a strong would break. Her heart had already started cursing her, hearing his strained voice. He was on the verge of collapsing and she feared collapsing along with him.

"No, it's not. You are punishing me. Right ?"

Getting a hold of her shoulder, he made her look her in his eyes, his eyes which were screaming years of pain and torment without her. He resembled a broken man who was on the verge to lose everything which made her tear her eyes away from him and look down, again.

Don't.... He is trying to trap you. Don't fall into it. Stop sympathysing with him. He is not worth it.

"I am not....."

He pleaded holding her hand in a tight grasp, not knowing tears were flowing down his eyes in form of his pain. It seemed his fear was turning into truth. He was losing her, again. And he wasn't even able to do anything other than plead her not to marry Murat.

"Please don't marry him, Maria. You want to punish me. Right ? You can punish me your whole life. I'll not complain but please apni zindagi barbad mat karo. You'll never be happy with someone you don't love. His life along with yours will get destroyed too...."

She couldn't help but laugh at his words. Destroy ? He thinks she was destroying herself. Doesn't he know she already is. There is nothing left in her to lose. He took everything from her. She was empty-handed just like a beggar, with nothing.

"Main to waise bhi barbaad hi hu and he is worth every risk. I know he'll keep me happy just like he always had. And it's better for you to move on too. I am not the one for you so, stop hurting yourself after me."

Talking her hand out his hold she tried leaving when he held her from back, resting his head on her shoulder wetting her exposed neck with his tears, which were boring daggers at her heart who was crying along with him, for the agony he was going through, well aware of his pain, remembering it's own self who was at the same place four years ago.

"I'll die.... I'll die without you Maria. Please don't marry him."

He sobbed, clutching on to her stomach tightly, like a small child who was not afraid to show his each and every emotion.

I can't go through that same phase again. It was torture for me.... It was difficult to be without you that time but I still had the hope to be with you someday but now there won't be any.

"I too thought same but I survived. Didn't I ? You'll survive too."

Her hands shivered when she touched his, trying to get out of his hold, not able to stand there anymore. It was too much for her. She wasn't able to see him so vulnerable and wanted to leave as soon as possible.

"I don't want to survive, I want to live. With you."

She heard his voice again and it was the time he turned her around and cupped her cheeks, making her look in his eyes showing all the love he had for her within himself.

"Please...."

"I can't.... I am sorry."

And just like she tore her heart once again along with his, who collapsed down in a fit of painful sobs, as soon as she got out wiping her own tears.

Salam everyone,

So, they are getting married but obviously they don't love each other. Who is happy ? Do you think their marriage will be a disaster ?

What about Mustafa ? Will he give up or end up shattered like Maria did four years ago ?

How was the chapter ?

Don't forget to vote and comment 😉

And don't forget the deal.

Till next time,
