Jason and I walked beside each other with Felix a bit ahead of us, kicking the snow in front of him. There was an awkward silence between Jason and me. I frowned. I don't like this. It's like we went back to being strangers. Like how we were when we first met. But that was months ago. Our friendship bloomed quickly and he became someone I can completely trust and someone who I can tell all my worries. My best friend, the person I love. My first love. When we first met we hated each other and never got along. I don't want it to go back to that. I...I love him. There! I said it.

I shivered a bit due to the cold. I should have brought my overcoat with me. Damn! I then felt a warm hand around my shoulder. I turned to see it was Jason.

"Who told you to wear such open clothes in winter? Stupid." He said. I puffed out my cheeks.

"Shut up and warm me up." I said leaning closer to him. He raised an eyebrow. "Am I your personal heater or something?" He asked sarcastically.

I grinned as I laid my head on his shoulder.

"That's not bad actually. Be happy you got such a high position." I said teasingly. He got my head in a headlock.

"Uwah!" I squeaked slightly.

"Did you just say 'Uwah'?" He asked. I blushed. "It just came out!" I said. He smirked. I pouted but then smiled at him. His smirk turned into a small smile too. Everything is back to normal.

I then saw that Felix was just about to trip. "Felix! Be careful! And I don't want your suit to get dirty before the party!" I said. "Yes Mam!" He said mocking me. I frowned and sharply turned to Jason who was whistling.

"Don't teach him all that stuff!" I said.

"I don't know what you're talking about." He said. "Don't lie!" I said. Felix stood there snickering while we bickered.

"We haven't even entered the party and you'll already started arguing. When are you'll gonna learn?" We heard someone say. We turned to see that all our friends stood there.

"Hey guys!" I said and rushed to them forgetting all about Jas and my anger. They were all dressed up. The guys looked really handsome while the girls looked beautiful. The kids looked really cute too.

We finally entered the place where the party was held. I could see some people who I've never seen before. We girls began talking about nonsensical things and started sipping on our drinks. The kids were getting along too.

I saw Jason with the guys. They were laughing at Ben for some reason. They must have cracked a joke on him. Poor guy. Jason had a straight face but I could see amusement flicker in his. I smiled. But I miss his warmth. I fell like hugging him like big teddy bear. Yup I'm still not over stuff toys. I was snapped out of my thoughts when Levy pinched my cheek.

"Ow! Levy!" I shouted. "Not my fault. You weren't paying attention to what I was saying." She said pouting.

"Sorry. I was thinking about something. What were you saying?" I asked. "Yeah. As I was saying I wanted to lend you my book, 'Summertime love.' I swear you'll love it. It's about a boy and a girl...." She went on and on about the book saying how marvellous it is. And I listened to her full heartedly.

We were so engrossed in talking that we didn't notice the time at all. We realised how late it was when our 'kids' interrupted us talking.

"Mama I'm hungry." Felix said while tugging at my dress. Oh shit. How could I forget that it's already quite past his dinner time.

"I'm so sorry Felix. I didn't notice how late it had gotten." I smiled at him apologetically. He grinned back.

"That's fine Mama. But you'll have to feed me." He said. "Of course. Let's go to the buffet then shall we?" I asked. He grabbed my hand and we walked over to the buffet counter. Levy and Aubrey joined us too.

"Where's Papa?" I asked Felix. "I saw him with his friends before. I don't know where he is now." He said.

"Oh okay. He'll eat when he feels like it." I said and grabbed two plates and started filling it with food.

Once we were done serving ourselves, we found a place to sit and eat.

Levy and Aubrey went off with Griffin to have some family time together. I wish Jason was here too. I wanted us all to spend some time together. I fed Felix a piece of chicken and then ate another piece. "Mama I'll be back in a second. I wanna use the washroom." Felix said getting up from the seat.

"Do you know where it is?" I asked. He nodded.

"Are you sure you can go alone?" I asked again. He nodded.

"Are you sure you won't get lost?" I asked again.

"Jeez Mama. You worry a lot. I'll be fine." He said and ran off. I sighed. I really think Jason is teaching this kid to become mannerless.

I sat there playing with my food with my fork. I looked up from my plate and my eyes widened.

I saw Gabrielle pushing herself on Jason and Jason stood there not pushing her away. I thought he hated her. He should've burned her by now. But no he just allowed her to rub her body against his. Nobody saw them since they were in a dark corner. I then saw Jason put his arms around her and he kissed her!

Anger seethed within me. But it soon vanished to be replaced by sadness. I...I thought he liked me. Maybe even loved me. What were all those kisses for then? Was I just a toy for him to play with? I gave out a dry laugh. I guess I was. I mean why would a guy like Jason, the strongest, the hottest, the guy every girl was behind, why would he want someone like me, a stubborn, stupid, ugly midget. Why when he can have someone beautiful like Gabrielle? He can kiss any girl he wants. He has kissed so many girls before. He must've used me just to fulfil his desires. Why else? I can feel tears pricking my eyes. No I won't cry in front of everyone.

I then felt someone sit down in the seat beside me. I thought it was Felix but it was someone else.

"Hey. I don't think we've spoken before but I'm Tyler, Gabrielle's partner in this game or challenge or whatever." Tyler had dirty blonde locks and teal coloured eyes. I forced a smile.

"Hi Tyler. I'm Lucy. It's nice to meet you." I said. "Don't force it. I know you're sad but angry at the same time." He said. I looked at him in shock. How did he know?

"Well now you're confused. Let me clear it. First of all I can clearly see Jason and Gabrielle smooching. Second I know how you're feeling because I have the Aura reading Alice. Along with the Sand Alice. I'm a multi Alice user like you." He said. I finally understood.

"Good you understand." He said and then looked at the two people I hated the most currently. I saw him sigh sadly.

"What's wrong? Wait don't tell me. You like Gabrielle?" I asked. He nodded.

"But how?! I mean she's just so-"

"Mean? She's not how you think she is. She's really nice and kind when you get to know her. How I know that? We're childhood best friends. And I've always loved her." He said. I didn't say anything.

"I guess you're right. I shouldn't judge her since I don't know her at all. But why don't you tell her?" I asked.

"You think I can confess to her? She's always surrounded by boys who look far better than me. And she's got this huge crush on Jason. And as her best friend I will support her. If I confess I might ruin our relationship and I might not be able to come near her ever again." He said and sighed and closed his eyes.

"I get how you feel. But after seeing what happened today I don't think I can ever go back to the way I was." I said and smiled at him sadly. He smiled at me sadly too. He then got up and bid me goodbye.

That's when Felix came back. I have to make sure he doesn't see it. Gosh I really feel like running away from here. I could still see them making out. I think I'm about to cry. I spotted Kelly and called her over. She walked over. "What's wrong Lucy?" She asked. I smiled at her.

"It's nothing Kelly. I just wanted to ask you a favour. Could you take care of Felix for me? I got to run an errand. And it might be late by the time I finish it so could you drop him home?" I asked.

"Sure but is everything alright?" She asked. "Yeah. It's perfectly fine." I said faking a smile. She easily bought it.

"You're leaving Mama? Why?" Felix asked.

"I'm sorry sweetheart but I have something important to do." I lied. He just nodded. Kelly took his plate and grabbed his hand.

"Where's Jason by the way?" Kelly asked. I need to hurry or I might break down right here.

"I'm not sure. I didn't see him. Anyway if you find him give him the key and tell him to take Felix home. Thanks a lot." I said handing her the key. She smiled.

"Don't mention it." She said and I hurried out of the place. She didn't suspect anything. I was always good at hiding my emotions. I walked faster to wherever my feet took me. Tears had started flowing down my cheeks. I then removed my heels and ran with them in my hands. I ran all the way to the garden and slumped down on the bench. The tears didn't stop.

Why did he do this to me? Why did he kiss her? Why did he kiss me in the first place? Why did he make me feel like I was special to him? Why did he lead me on? In my anger I punched the ground making my hands bleed. I then sat down on the ground not caring if my dress got dirty.

I then saw a flash of gold and when I looked up I saw my most trusted and loyal spirit, Leo standing there. He was the only one who could come to the human world without me summoning him. He always knew when I was in danger or when I was sad.

"Leo..." I muttered and jumped into his arms. He caught me without any difficulties. I sobbed into his chest wetting his coat. He soothed me all the while. I hugged him tighter.

"Why does this happen to me?! Why did he do this to me?! Why?! Why?!!" I yelled while crying. He pulled me closer and hugged me tight.

Suddenly I didn't feel his arms around me and when I looked up I saw him 3 metres away from me on the ground with his cheek bruised.

"Don't touch her, you stupid lion!" I heard a quite familiar voice. The one who caused my tears, the one whom I didn't want to see now at all. I saw Jason standing there with his eyes blazing. Why is he here? Leo got up lighting his arms with a golden light and taking a fighting stance.

"And who are you to say that? Who are you to her?" Leo asked in anger.

"She's mine. So keep your filthy hands off her!" Jason said and lit his hands in flames. I clenched my teeth. Am I an object or something?

"She's no object. She's a person. You can't just claim her. And you can't say she's yours when you'll aren't even dating." Leo said. He can be quite logical this way. Jason gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.

"SHE'S. MINE. SO. BACK. OFF. YOU DUMB LION!!" Jason yelled loudly and launched himself towards Leo. I had never heard him yell so loudly.

He landed quick punches on Leo, while the latter blocked most of his attacks but still got hurt. I couldn't bare seeing one of my spirits get badly hurt because of my selfish reasons.

"Force gate closure." I said but Leo still stood there fighting Jason. "I'm using my own magic to stay in the human world, Lucy. You can't force close my gate. And I'll be damned if I let you go with this jerk who made you cry!" He said. That made Jason stop.

"I...I made her cry?" Jason asked himself.

"Yeah you did. And I hope you can stay away from her. You don't deserve her." Leo said.

"As if I'll listen to you. She'll be with me. Not you." Jason said. No. Stop this. Don't make me do what you'll want. They kept taking decisions on who I'll be with and all. That's it!

"SHUT UP!! BOTH OF YOU!" I shouted. That made them look at me. New tears started making their way down.

"Stop taking decisions for me. I'm an independent woman. Stop making me do what you'll want. I can make my own choices! And if you'll keep doing this...." I held my head in my hands.

"It's won't be any different for me than when I was trapped in the AAO!!" I yelled.

When I realised what I said I covered my mouth. I then saw that Felix was there too. He had tears in the corner of his eyes.

"You...you were in the AAO?" Jason asked and was walking to me slowly. I backed away when he was about to touch me.

"Why do you even care? Rather go suck Gabrielle's face." I said coldly. He looked shock.

"You saw?" He asked. I laughed dryly. "Well you'll weren't doing such a good job at hiding yourselves." I said. He tried to reach out at me again but stopped when he saw my cold eyes.

I turned and walked towards Felix. I grabbed his hand and was about to drag him home but he refused to move. I looked at him and saw him staring at Jason. I let go of his hand and walked back home alone. I could feel them staring at me from behind. But I didn't care anymore. I just kept walking.
