"Ms.Goodman called" Ruby told me as I came bounding down the stairs. "About?" I asked, sitting on the barstool and pulling my brown riding boots on and looping the creep colored scarf around my neck. "To check up" She said, walking over and handing me a cup of green tea. "She isn't going to send me away.. is she?" I asked, sipping it lightly as I fluffed my hair up slightly. "You've only been here 3 days, Allie. And not if I can help it" She smiled and slid the convertible keys across the countertop. "I have a breakthrough coming with a painting i'm doing.. gotta' concertrate" She said winking as I smiled "I'll be home at 4" I yelled over my shoulder, putting my backpack over my shoulder and walking outside.
Getting in the car and turning it on, I drove to school faster than Ruby had. Probaly because I wanted to get out of there and away from Ms.Goodmans phone call that I still didn't know the reason for.
Pulling into the parking lot, I parked in a spot and pulled the keys out of the ignition, shoving them in my pocket as I got out of the car and pulled my backpack on when a heavy arm slipped around my shoulders. "Hey beautiful" The husky voice cooed in my ear, making me shudder. "Hey Sam" I said shutting the door.
"How are you?" He asked as I saw Gray, Jess, and Ammi standing near the fountain. "Eh.. not so good" I mumbled, waving at Gray who shot me a warning look as we approached. "How?" He said, rubbing my army green overcoated arm gently. "Erm.. I got a call from a unwanted person and it killed my mood" I shrugged and he nodded, squeezing me gently as we approached. "I'll see you in first hour" Sam whispered in my ear, his lips brushing my ear sending shudders down my body.
He was gone in a instant, walking to where Andrew and the rest of their friends where standing. Shrugging, I smiled as I walked up Gray, Jess, and Ammi. "Hey" I said happily, forgetting Ms.Goodmans call. "Why where you walking with Sam?" Gray said hurridly. "I got out of Rubys car and he wrapped his arm around me and we had a small conversation and then he left..why?" I asked and she nodded understandingly.
"Just ignore him, alright?" Ammi said quickly and I pursed my lips in confusion "He has a reputation" She explained, pushing her blonde short hair behind her ears and bitting her lip nervously. "What kind of reputation?" I asked weakly, biting my thumb nail "Like a fights..drinking.. do and ditch reputation.. if you know what I mean" Jess said and I rolled my lips together "Well someone as gorgeous as him must have a reputation... And why didn't you tell me yesterday?" I said shifting from one foot to the other, looking over my shoulder at Andrew, and Sam who where laughing with their friends. "We thought he was doing it to set Andrew up with you" Ammi explained and I nodded "Thanks for telling me".

We chatted for a minute, me occasionly turning to see Sam rough housing with his friends and winking at me everytime he got a punch in. "I'll walk with you to 1st hour" Jess told me, looping her arm through mine and pulling me across the campus until we reached a near empty hallway. Her brown hair was pushed back revealing her dark brown eyes and thin lips. "I'm telling you this for a reason, Allie" She whispered, clenching her jaw as a group of girls passed. "Alright" I said, motioning for her to continue.
"Sam and Gray used to date.. and it did not end well at all. Their families got involved and it was a big deal-a really big deal. Now they hate eachother and it's this.. well its this big deal. So.. just stay away, alright? Ignore him." Jess ended, and I nodded. "We better get to class" I mumbled as the bell rang. Turning, I waved at her and walked to my locker, unloading my books and getting my trapper keeper before heading to class.
Sitting in my normal spot, I ignored Sam when he entered class and sat behind me. Class began and I tried to ignore Sam-really I did- but him breathing on my neck and chuckling everytime I cringed finally got to me. "Stop" I said sternly, turning to face him with a wicked glare. "What'd I do, Kitten?" Sam asked smirking "P-please stop" Facing the front, I moved my desk forward and heard a low growl come from behind me.
I felt my desk being pulled backward as I sat perfectly still, until the assignment was passed back. Taking the sheet, I held it over my head, not turning to face him. His hand was on mine in a instant, holding it slightly as he gently pulled the paper from my hand. Electricity shot through my body at his small gesture.
Gulping loudly, I pulled my pencil out and began to work. Finishing quickly, I stood up along with Sam and walked over to the turn-in box, feeling him tower over me. Turning around, I stared up at Sam who was taller than me by more than a few inches. His dark green eyes where ablaze and his slightly curly brown hair was styled sexily.
Relizing i'd been staring at him for to long, I inhaled sharply and popped my knuckles, hurrying to my desk. Staring at the scratched, written on, wood of my desk, I saw Sams shadow and heard him sinking into his chair.
It was hard to not notice Sam-no matter how hard you tried. For Gods' sake, he was 6'6" with the most gorgeous body and face i'd ever seen. It was expesially hard to not notice him when he was breathing down my neck in the most seductive way and twirling my hair around his finger and pulling my desk closer with every second.

"You may think i'm some bad guy because Gray has a version of the story, but i'm not. Not in the way you think" Sam whispered, making me stop breathing. "You can't get rid of me, Kitten." Sam whispered into my ear, before moving my hair to the side and placing a small, soft, warm, wet kiss on the sensitive area behind my ear.
The kiss, small as it was, had me shaking and gasping for breath like a fish out of water. I coulden't move no matter how hard I tried. It was like every thing inside me was beating out of control. A tightness in my stomach startled me, a pounding in my chest freaked me out. My blood was boiling, and I felt light headed on the verge of passing out.
"I love the way you react" He whispered as the bell rang before he was up and strolling across the room. His head was held high and his strides where long, a walk that could only belong to Sam. As soon as I saw his leather clad back leave the room, I got up and shakily walked to Gray and I's meeting spot.
"Hey" She said, looping her arm through mine as we walked to class. "Hey" I said, reaching my hand back and feeling the space where Sam had kissed me. It was a innocent kiss, but it was filled with so much more than just a kiss.
I can't explain it, but it felt.. I can't even begin to describe it.
"This Friday, Jess, Ammi, and I are going to see a movie and then get dinner. Want to come?" She asked sweetly and I nodded quickly "Anything to get my mind off things.." I said heavly, as we entered the classroom. "What kind of things?" She asked. I thought of telling her it was Sam, but my mind quickly raced to Ms.Goodmans phone call.
"My social worker called this morning, and I didn't get a deffinat reason for why" I said as we sat in the back "Probaly routine. With my cousin Abbey, when she got adopted, the social worker called like 8 times in the first week. They she stopped." Gray said and I shurgged in agreement, turning to face the front of the room.

"Does she walk? Does she talk? Does she come complete?" I sang, wiping my hands on my black fitted yoga pants before picking up the paintbrush and adding a few strokes as the loud music played in the background. "My homeroom homeroom angle always pulled me from my seat" I sang louder, smiling proudly at the small painting of a sailboat.
The doorbell chimed as I was about to sing the next, ruining my groove. Pausing the music, I walked out of my room and down the stairs to the front door, looking through the side glass to make sure it wasn't Michel Myers.
Opening the door, I stared at the group of boys. Sam and Andrew stood at the front, Andrew looking guilty and Sam smirking. "Um.. Sam, Andrew, what's the occasion?" I said before clearing my throat. "We where playing football at Jacksons house and Andrew tried to kick it and.. now it's in your backyard" Sam said, his eyes running over my body.
"You want me to get it?" I asked, motioning with my thumb behind me "We'll come with you" Andrew said happily and I smiled hearing his cheery voice. "Oh.. ok. Follow me" I said, holding the door and letting the sweaty, muddy boys in.
Shutting the front door, I squeezed past the big boys and started walking to the kitchen that had a door that led to the backyard. "You have paint on your pants" Andrew said, and I stopped and looked down at my paint covered pants "Its bound to happen. They're just pants" I shrugged and kept walking, opening the back door and leading them out.
"Wheres the ball?" I asked, sweeping my eyes over the manicured lawn. "Over there" Andrew said, walking over to the back of the fenced in yard and picking up a football. "Thanks" The guys said, walking over to the fence and climbing up and over it. "Why didn't you do that before?" I asked, pouting. "Y'all killed my groove" I laughed and "I wanted to show you off" Sam whispered in my ear, before walking over to the fence and climbing over in a fluent motion. "Bye Andrew" I said, waving to him and walking inside, shutting the door.
Sam wanted to show me off.
