Often the thunderstorms

weakened my faith,

ominous warnings evident

in the cold froth on their twigs;

I hissed upon their existence

until you came along.

You taught me to love

the thunderstorms;

I taught you to cherish

a gentleman

like me.

Maybe we were two opposites

attracted to each other

but I could feel the magnetic

fields around our cores shifting,

repelling us slowly,

one step further each time.
