《Anime One Shots Book 1》Karma X Fem!Reader (Assassination Classroom) {Looking Back At Memories} Part Two

"I heard that you are ready to order?" Our waiter smiles.
The waiter takes our orders and the new couple was looking at Karma and I, waiting for our story to begin.
"Alright just tell us already!" Kayano exclaims.
"Okay, okay," I chuckle, "so it was around mid term exams-"
Two months have passed since the baseball and basketball game took place. Koro Sensei was in study mode. His clones were running around once again training everyone on their worst subject.
Karma was being lazy this time. Probably thinking that he doesn't need to study.
"Honestly Karma even the highest ranked students study!" I scold, "even Terasaka might beat you." Hopefully that might spark something to get him fired up. He's the type who will try to prove me wrong.
Instead he just scoffs, "sure sweetie. You and that thug will beat me." I respond with punching him in the arm. "I am the one tutoring you, you know."
"Only because I'm paying you back in food." The devilsh look in his eyes is back. He must have something planned. "Oh great where are you going off today?"
"Relax no where expensive. Just fast food for today. Maybe a family restaurant tomorrow..."
"You're seriously going to make me work two part time jobs before exams are over." I sigh, Karma was about to reply when something fell from the sky.
"Oh, and what is going on here~" Koro Sensei rubs to tentacles together, in a sneaky like motion. Like when he finds out one of his students secrets. "Where are you two going~"
"To study." Karma says as we walk right past our teacher. "And we're in a hurry today. Go tease someone else."
"Jeez you guys aren't any fun today." He pouts before running of somewhere else.
When we had arrived at the fast food place, Karma pays before I could even get my wallet out. "I can't have my partner in crime working all the time." He winks before walking off to find a place to sit.
In my last ditch effect to get him to study, "how about whoever ranks higher the loser have to agree to one demand."
"Okay." He agrees instantly, kind of surprising. "What's the catch?"
"It has to be safe and legal." Karma chuckles, "and can't involve the government." This causes him to frown.
"You're aren't much fun today, huh." He sips his drink.
----
"Here is your food..." The waiter mumbles as he serves everything off of one large tray. "And I'll refresh your drinks..."
"Thank you." Kayano says before looking back at me. "You still haven't gotten to where you guys started dating." She whines.
"Yeah yeah yeah." I reply taking a bite of my food, "I'm getting there. Some other stuff happened before that."
"Like what?" Nagisa chimes in, becoming more interested in the story.
"The fact that I, (Full Name), got a high ranking that the Akabane Karma."
"And you are still very proud of this." My husband mocks, taking a sip of his drink.
"And how does that fit into the story?" The two sitting across from us question.
Looking out from the school window, you could see Karma looking over his exam score paper. He crumpled it up in his fist, before I could see what else happened Nakamura called me over. "Eying Karma, huh?" She smirks.
"We had to bet and I won. That's all." I beamed, hoping she wouldn't think anything of it. She didn't let the smirk drop but let it go.
"What ranking did you get?" She asks, a few more of our classmates seemed interested in the information as well.

"Tenth over all." I answered as Koro Sensei appears in the classroom.
He makes a speech about how proud of us he is. Karma walking it at the end of it. The red head seemed really upset. Putting him aside, the class rallies together and gets Koro Sensei to admit that we get to knock off seven tentacles.
Then A-class admits they lost a bet they made with us. Granting us the holiday to a fancy resort for summer break. Finally, Karma and I are walking to the train station alone today.
"Well have you picked your prize yet?" He asks after some small talk.
"I have."
"Oh?"
"And you're going to absolutely hate it." I smiled a devilish grin.
He returns that grin, "hey now I'm not the one who made the rules, but we can break it-"
"We're not doing anything illegal or that involves the government Karma." I groan as he sighs.
"Then just what are we doing?" He says sarcastically.
"We're going on a date."
----
Kayano almost spits out her drink, "you said that?!" She gains the attention of even more customers. "And here I was under the impression Karma was the one to ask you out!"
"She was trying to tease me for whatever reason..." He trials off to let me fill in the blank.
"The reason at the time was because I wanted to tease him back. Really though I had a crush on him and didn't admit it to myself." I explained.
Nagisa didn't add in any comments. Only shooting Karma a 'is she serious...?' look.
"So basically I was reason for Karma to get motivated. Wether it was to show me up or impress me-"
"It was to show you up." Karma answers, cutting me off.
"You can decide." I finish my sentence, stepping on his foot.
"And this lead you to..." Nagisa says.
After the big show down with the assassins and have the class getting sick; it was time for Karma to keep up with his end of the deal. Our little date was our little secret. It wasn't unusually for us to sneak off somewhere by our selves. Koro Sensei, on the other hand, must off caught on. As I later found out.
Karma explained a few years ago that, "teach helped me get ready that night. Guess he snooped around the two of us more than we thought."
The one who helped me that night was none other than Bitch Sensei. She knocked on my door just as I finished getting ready. "Hey (Y/n)," she knocks again, "open up."
Reasoning with myself that I could lie my way out of this, I open it. She looks up and down, giving me an approving nod. "Very nice, glad to see someone around here has some taste."
I sighed in relief, "how did you know?"
"The octopus was muttering to himself about it. And I like you so I thought I would pop by to see what you're up to." She explains and I let her inside. "I'm surprised none of the other girls are here."
"Yeah uh..." I scratch my head and close the door. "I didn't tell anyone about this..."
"Oh?"
"Do you think that... I dunno... it'll hurt them?"
She chuckles, "for some people it would have but not those girls. Besides I can see why, everyone would be following you guys around. Privacy is not something this class has." When that conversation ended she started up a new one. "So why that devil?"
"What happened to privacy?" I retorted and she just shrugged.
"I want to talk about love." She sighs, "or maybe I drank more than I thought I did..." She trails off, "but just tell me."

I had to think for a moment, why do I like Karma? When did it even start? Bitch Sensei jabs me in the forehead, "if you don't want to tell me then don't."
"I just... there's just something about him. You know?" She nods along, not interrupting me. "Like I can joke around with him and he gives it right back. We'll insult each other, horrendously, but then laugh about it."
"You two are sort of similar." She agrees.
I sit beside her and look at my shoes. "So how did everything go with Mr. Karasuma?"
"Nothing happened, he just ignored all of my moves. But whatever I'm over it now."
"That man is like a stone but maybe you weathered him a little." With that I get a text from Karama. "Looks like our time is up."
"Good luck." She waves and walks down the hall back to where everyone else probably is. I went in the opposite direction.
To avoid any suspicion Karma and I already ate with our classmates. Of course he still could have told someone about our date during that time. But from the looks over it, no one is following us.
At the far edge of the beach was a small ice cream stand. The owner moves locations around the island, today he was here. We later found out Koro Sensei had bribed him to move here.
"Hello there." Karma greeted me, "no swim suit?"
I nudge him in the arm with my elbow. "Shut up."
The ice cream shop owner greeted us with a smile. "Welcome, what can I get for you?"
When we got our orders, we sat down in the sand watching the waves roll. "Is this what you wanted to do?" Karma asks.
"Yeah, for a first date." I say and look at him. He's cooking up a clever retort, he's eyes reveal his plan every time. If you even have time to look in them, that is. Maybe this date is working just like I hope it would. Who wouldn't want to fluster the Akabane Karma?
"So there's going to be another one after this?" He smirks.
I roll my eyes, "maybe." I sigh dramatically, "here I thought you would say some line to make me blush."
He scoffs, "I don't make people blush. You blush just by looking at me."
Can't argue with that. Karma picks up on this, "nothing to defend yourself with?"
I cross my arms, looking away, once again being dramatic. For the sake of getting a rise out of him.
"Hey." He pokes my cheek, "heeeey." Licking his tongue, he was getting annoyed now. He holds his ice cream cone to my cheek. Just before it touches me, I took a bite of it.
I giggle as he looks at me in horror. "Takes good."
"I don't know if I'm more shocked that you took a bite or..."
"Or that know you don't have an excuse to kiss me?" I laughed. Now he is the one pouting. Its moments like this were I wonder if bickering, like play fighting, is a love language.
----
"For you two, bicker is differently a love language." Nagisa says and Kayano nods.
"We're never serious when we insult each other though." Karma adds, "just like whenever (Y/n) is being dramatic, she's just kidding."
"Yeah yeah yeah we know." Kayano waves, "we've been friends for awhile now. Anyway, tell us about the first time you met (Y/n)'s dad."
"How many drama's have you been watching?" (Y/n) says sarcastically.
"Well she met my parents first." Karma begins, "we all had dinner at my house one night. And of course my mother immediately loved (Y/n)." He chuckles and looks at me. "Sometimes I wonder if she likes you more than me."
"I'm sure she does." The couple across the table laughs. "Especially having to deal with you all the time."
"Shut up!" He raises his voice but not too much. He did finally learn to have manners in a nice restaurant last year.
"He's dad gave me the speech. About how I should never break Karma's heart and so on. But at the end of the night, he confessed to just wanting to make that speech." I shrug, "I thought it was funny since he's such a kind man."
"Must have gone better than meeting her father, right?" Kanayo says, once again wanting to hear about the drama.
"Alright alright." Karma groans, "as you both know this took place close to the end of the year. Right before we went to space actually..."
Karma and I were walking to school together with Nagisa and Kayano as usual. Tension was running high even outside the classroom with the deadline. To make things worse, a man was standing in front of the school. He was talking to Mr. Karasuma, who seems angry and annoyed.
When we came into view, our teachers eyes were fixed on me until the man turned around.
"Running a little late today (Y/n)?" He says, "that's not how I taught to be."
"And what brings you here?" I glare back, "mother handles all student teacher conferences. You know that very well."
"And your tongue is as sharp as ever."
"Just answer the question."
"Why shouldn't it be obvious? I'm here to get you out of this school. That is all that you wanted."
My friends were still behind me when they heard that. "Not anymore I changed my mind. Otherwise I would have transfer a long time ago."
"You know this classroom is no place for you!" He yells, but I don't flinch. "You are too bright and will out shine everyone!"
"'Like I did' right?" I mocked which only makes him more pissed. A few more of my classmates walk outside to see what the yelling was about. "We'll continue this after school." I resisted the urge to add in anymore comments.
The bell rang and Karasuma finally spoke up, "let's go." He says this to everyone behind me but I take this as my chance to leave too.
My father watched as I disappeared inside, burning bullets inside my skull. For the rest of the day I didn't talk much. Even at lunch, it was like I was in a different space. No one talked about what happened this morning. Karma might have gotten into a fight with whoever did.
The end of the day had finally arrived, my father waited outside the front school gate. We walked away from the school, to a road not many people travel on. The same one my family and I would walk in the summer. I used to treasure this road but now the memories have been stained.
"(Y/n)." He starts, "you can't stay here-"
"Isn't it a bit late for that?" I cut him off, "March is right around the corner. I'm literally leaving here in-"
"And that's why you have to leave now!" He already starts yelling. "Graduating from a school like this....! A class....!"
"I'm ranked one of the top students in the school." I tried to reason with him. "And I'm studying for my entrance exams for high school. With the help of my teacher I know I can get into any school I please."
He scoffs but doesn't think of a good enough come back. From there I don't remember where the fight went. My father eventually brought up my mother and that's where things got even more heated. In the end he gives up. Looking back now I just made him so mad he couldn't stand to look at me.
Now I don't care about what happened, but in that moment I just wanted him to support my decisions like any parent should. From there on I gave up on wishing for that.
Karma, Nagisa and Kayano came out from their hiding spots. "We heard everything." Nagisa starts, "I'm so sorry."
"It's all good." I wave him off, Kayano pulls me into a hug to comfort me. "Really guys I'm fine."
Karma doesn't believe me. None of them did, but his face expressed it more than the other two. Kayano lets go and leave with Nagisa. "We'll leave you two alone. See you tomorrow."
My boyfriend and I looked at each other before he took my hand. We just walked in silence until the street lamps started to turn on. "There's a park up ahead." He speaks up, "we can go there if you want."
I nod in reply, sitting on a swing when we arrived. Karma was never the best at having conversation about stuff like this. Expressing himself with words is skill he, at the time, was trying to learn.
"Do you want to talk about it?" He offers and I shake my head.
"There's nothing to say." I stare down at the ground, "you guys heard everything. My father has always been like that and will never change his values."
He stands up and opens his arms, "want a hug?" I walk into his arms, relaxing a little.
"It's true that I wanted to leave at first but after meeting everyone, I didn't anymore. And I met you here too, and yeah we could still date if we went to different schools, but..." I trail off, not sure where I was going with that.
"It wouldn't be the same." He finishes my thought. "I won't stand in the way of whatever path you choose. Your life is yours to live."
We stood there in a silence a little longer before I whispered, "thank you, Karma." And in return is holds me a little closer.
----
"Oh yeah," Nagisa starts, "how did you convince your father to let Karma marry you?"
"Karma did ask before hand, right?" Kayano chimes in. Both of them looked worried; Karma wouldn't be the type to ask before marrying someone's daughter.
Karma and I looked at each other and laughed. "That's a story for another night. We'll have to get together again sometime soon."
"Her father didn't agree at first." Karma says. "I mean you both saw how he was all though years ago. But he accepted it eventually."

Parallels
Parallels are a constant in life. Our friends' lives often run parallel to ours; we share similar experiences or tastes- perhaps even both. Sometimes, however, opposites attract- and our lives run perpendicular. In that case, we are not attracted by similarities; rather, we are attracted to the differences in others. So, what happens when two parallels are broken apart? What might happen to them? Are they forever doomed to run alongside each other, never seeing one another, never meeting? Or, perhaps, might they be spun about? Could these lines that formerly ran alongside one another meet? Could they possibly be set perpendicular? Any feedback is welcome, so long as it is constructive. Also, you may not use any characters, ideas, places, or what have you that I present here without my explicit permission. A note: This is a story which I began over a year ago, but never got around to finishing- it feels about time to really get it going. Now, there are a couple of things about the story, and myself, that need to be said. First and foremost, there's a slow start, but by the third-fourth chapter things should be speeding up a bit. Secondly, in regards to release speed and/or word count per chapter, I make no promises- my schedule is fairly random, and in regards to word count, I will cut off any chapter at any point that feels appropriate to me- that may include cliffhangers, if necessary. I'm not trying to reach a specific word count, I am trying to create a cohesive story, with pseudo-appropriate chapter breaks. This means I will also not rush a half-baked release for the sake of getting a release out. Thirdly, I will make any edits, anywhere in the story and at any time, that strike me as necessary- typically being wording and/or formatting changes, but I may also decide to change major plot points- in that case I would put a notification in the next chapter released. Finally, and most importantly, I am a Christian; this story is intended to at least moderately reflect those values. So, if you particularly dislike any of these things, feel free to look elsewhere, and don't let the door hit you on the way out. God bless, friends.
